I decided to cancel the service after a year of quarterly service and an additional exclusion service they sold through a third party. For cancellation, they are going to charge another $100 plus, citing frivolous reasons like at the time of initiating the service we gave a discount and would like to recover that now. Today, the young man said he heard me in my garage...I am not sure how long this guy was snooping around my property but that is unacceptable. I do not recommend this company for less than ethical sales practices. salesperson came unsolicited to my property saying he had a customer in the area who didn't want the service and he was offering me his/her package. He represented that I would get 1 yr of quarterly services for $169. my initial thought was this can't be a a good product if you'll do a year for $169. He said it's that low because there is a $300 discount. So now my thought is ok that a little over $100 per service and they are attempting to buy my repeat business. so of course he has me to sign what would later come to be a service contract. No well, I didn't see a service contract because he only showed me the signature part on the iPad. And he stated all you're just signing for the service today. OK no problem I don't really care I'm only just gonna do this one time service and that'll be it. They'll come out here every quarter service it and then I'll be done with him. So pay the 169 for the initial service fast forward a month later they come back out to do the follow up to the initial service; they want to charge me $169 again. I called them and they say you signed up for a quarterly service $169 per quarter I was like these rascals got me. They somewhat made good by lowering my payment and gave me a credit. But there is no way servicing someone's property is (169 x 5 + 300 (discount added back) for 1 year. read more

Used them for a year, hope to cancel after a year contract, and was told they need to charge a $175 fee because that is the discount they gave us for the initial service. The fact is, they gave us the $175 initial discount because we just had a pest control service done with another company, and they tried to convince us to switch to them. But the initial cost is $300+, we would not do it since we just had one service. That is why they offered the discount. Now when we want to cancel their service because no results have been seen for a year. They want their discount back. We want to cancel for a reason - pictures are nothing compared to the amount of centipedes around our house. Every service is done is 10-15 min for $150. They had this young sales guy come around. Glad to heal him out. Had a cheesy name - Spider Man. Had a line of bs about treating the bugs too much. Door to door sales out hustling, so sure I'll give them a shot. Learned my lesson. I had been with Pointe before. They did a great job. Whenever I had a problem they would come right out. With Eco Shield, I had an ant village in my kitchen. I called. 10 days later then finally get around to it. But they didn't get the job done. So called them after a few days and they penciled me in for 10 days later. So 3 weeks on, still an ant farm. I dealt with it myself and canceled their service. And they couldn't understand why. If you like bugs in your house, hire these fools. When you experience really bad service, don't pretend you didn't read this. You've been warned. read more

Sleazy sleazy salesman approached my house (I have a no soliciting sign) and rang my ring doorbell. I answered thru the ring. He stated he was a technician and I'd see his truck coming soon. He did not identify his name or the name of the company but the logo and company name was on his shirt. He went into his script of "I'm servicing some neighbors" I politely stated we are not interested. He started with the script again and I repeated we are not interested. He said "yeah I heard you the first time" he went on to ask who we have doing our pest control. Again I stated we are not interested. He said you have ants on your porch, I repeated we are not interested and I'm asking you nicely to leave. By this time my boyfriend came to the front door, the technician said hello to him tried again to start with his script but my boyfriend said "what did she say". I again repeated over the ring camera that we are not interested please leave. This salesman wound not take no for an answer! My boyfriend told him he needs to leave. If I ever did need pest control I would NEVER use this company due to the horrible interaction with this sleazy, rude, arrogant salesman. High pressure sales who wont take "no" for an answer. Cade was literally arguing with me at my own front door because I was not interested in his service. You could smell him from 6 feet away and his grammar would indicate he dropped out of school in the 5th grade. I called the city of Geneva and the police department about this harassment and sent them the Ring doorbell video and my home security video as evidence. You will need a real exterminators to keep these cockroaches from coming to your home/yard. I truly don't believe its a real business and it appears that many people on this site feel exactly the same. Door to door exterminator salesman.... parents must be thrilled. We found a mouse in our basement and were advised it would be 2 weeks until someone could come out. These people are one step away from scammers. They told us that we would pay $139 and get three services, the next time they came they charged us $169, there are text exchanges where he is swearing to us he will get this fixed. Nothing ever came of it. From the beginning of August have been dodging calls and avoiding resolving this. Tried to do a chargeback for the payments with the bank but it seems they have no problem getting in touch with the bank to dispute the chargeback , but can't bring themselves to actually handle this with me- the money was taken back out of the account. On Wednesday my 94 year old mother in law and 20 year old son heard a knock on the door. Why was he talking about my pet with my neighbor and what in his mind made him think that the death of a pet was information he should use to gain entry into my home! EcoShield Peat solutions is a fraud. They are the worst company I have ever been exposed to. I got conned into signing an agreement with them. Majorly overpaid for crappy service. One day a ring was stolen from my bathroom when one of their employees was working there. I called to cancel my subscription, it seemed like they allowed it but then a few weeks later an employee came to spray my house. He spent about 30 seconds at my house (I have it on camera and send it to them) and they charged me another $200. They did this one more time and now I have a $400 balance for work they claim they did which took a total of 30 seconds. We were actually very impressed with all of the technicians from EcoShield, they were prompt, answered all of our questions and emphasized if there is a continuing problem they will come back free of charge. Automatic renewal clauses always have to be put in your diary if you are unsatisfied, but I found the technicians to be great. First, Ecosheild over sold us on the mosquito service, saying that the heavy investment was for the distribution buckets, in reality they billed me $145 every three weeks to come out and fil them up. (Service Cancelled) I kept the normal service and just now I have an infestation of beetles and they refused to come out and eradicate our problem. They said they will only come out for 14 types of bugs (NEWS TO ME), yet I haven't found out how to pick and choose my infestation critters. A door to door sales rep came to my door selling pest control. I told him from the beginning that I'm moving before the year contract is up. He assured me that I could cancel whenever and only pay for the services that are completed. He told me I had to accept a text that came to my phone which was to verify my address in the system. Turns out it was a two step verification. verifying that I was aware of the cancellation fee. The representative actually pushed the verification button on my phone himself. Total scam! I called to cancel service after my initial service which I paid $169 for. They informed me that I had to pay $400 to cancel. Everyone else has paid a $200 cancellation fee, why mine was double is beyond me. I was completely scammed, this companies reviews speak for themselves. I've already filed a complaint with the BBB.
