Very unprofessional company. I have a huge ant problem and been paying monthly for them to do absolutely nothing about it. They keep telling me, oh don't do anything, let them take the poison back to the colony. Guy must be high or something bc he's spraying pheromones, not pesticides. My ant problem has increased not decreased since I've used their services. So I reached out to customer service and the lady switched up and said I was yelling at her. So I hung up and emailed customer service since she was unhinged. Then I let them know about the same ant problem. They in turn decide to say I have a roach problem, which is new to me, I haven't seen not one roach. Then they want to say my house is a disaster as it's literally being remodeled. This company is very shiddy. Replace those d's with t's. Go with Orkin or Terminix. I live in the Northlake Area of IL. That's how far the company will travel to rip off residents. read more

I was hesitant to call/sign-up with Pointe, but I'm glad I did. Michael Ellis was my tech and he was awesome! Not only did this man patiently listen to me babble about my fear of all these bugs in and around my house, he was able to talk me off the ledge, while still finishing his work concurrently. He was respectful of my property and pointed out where potential problem situations could present themselves. Good guy and good service. I am super weary on how these guys have amassed so many good reviews on Google, that does not verify users, when they act like they do not know how to be in business in the first place. Problem one: I messaged them initially only to be called back within seconds. A that is super scary, and B if I wanted to talk to someone, I would have called myself. One should be warned of a stalker call coming. Problem two and three: 30 minutes past their 2 hour window I called the "if you have problems" number and the person who answered the phone says she cannot reach my technician to find out why they have not made the appointment, or when the new appointment might be, because she did not have their number. Suss Problem four and five: The next time I heard from them, was a text stating my appointment was moved to another day. When I called to state that no one asked if I could make that appointment, and if they wanted to keep that second appointment, I needed a smaller window in case they decided to blow me off again. Their response was to reschedule for other days and times stating that they cannot connect with "managers" which I am assuming means the bug guys. Double suss. Avoid these, and possibly many other problems, and go with anyone else. read more

We've been working with Michael Ellis at Point Pest control for almost a year now and I'm so happy with their program that keeps our home safe and pest free. When I first called them, in April of 2024 we had a very serious mouse problem. We saw mice running through the kitchen and living room every day. I had been trying for almost a year on my own with various poisons, traps, herbs...you name it. I finally gave up and called in the professionals. They came every two weeks for the first few months, setting traps and filling bait stations, and filling holes indoors. Michael used copper mesh to fill the holes inside the house around the heating pipes and behind the stove. They also helped me find the outside openings where the mice were coming into the house. This took some carpentry work and tuck pointing but after the paths from outside were closed, all we had to do was get rid of the ones still living inside. It took a few more months to finish off the inside mice with traps --- and now we are completely mouse free! I know it's going to take maintenance to STAY mouse free but I'm confident that regular visits from Michael and Pointe will keep us safe. We also had an ant problem with small sugar ants in the kitchen and carpenter ants outwside on the porch and in the living room. Regular maintenance has kept us ant-free as well. I'm so grateful for the service and professional way Michael solved our problems. I highly recommend Point Pest control. We will be using them for regular maintenance now that the "mouse crisis" has been solved. read more

This company is a complete sham. I spent 180 dollar for the initial visit and 2 weeks after they were here I saw mice in my bedroom. The person that came out initially informed me that I would not be charged any further for a 2 week follow up visit. When I called to schedule the follow up visit they wanted to charge me 130 dollars for the visit. I told the customer service representative that I was told I would not be charged for the 2 week follow up, and her response was "let me fix that for you". And she did remove the charge on my account. Then when person came for the follow up. I informed him that I saw mice in the house recently almost 10 days after the initial visit. And I told him that the mice were probably in the attic. His response was that his company didn't go into the attic. I explained to him that if I had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital this is the equivalent of the surgeon telling me he only works on the left ventricle of my heart. So if I have a problem in the right ventricle I would die on the operating table. He put a trap under my sink and when I asked to have traps put near the points I saw mice he told me that they can't do that because it's an exposed area and there are safety concerns. We have been customers for years and had been satisfied with the service UNTIL they staring insisting that they come out in the winter to do a service as part of their annual plan and charging me the full price for an internal and external service when we are not even home. I would be happy to have 3 service appointments per year (spring, summer, fall) but could not justify the price of the winter service when the temperatures are below freezing and we are not home to let them in to provide the internal service. Their inflexibility caused me to drop their pest control service and also their mosquito service. Do not utilize this service-it's a ripoff and the office management is inflexible. read more

I've used Pointe pest control since 2019. Today, the season started at my residence. As the Tech started to apply. He was informed of the fence in the middle of the yard. He's to go beyond. It's only there to stop the dogs from getting skunked near the shed. This, in turn, started a call to the office. Now I was told I have to pay more money to have my entire yard done. I did say they've been taken care of this property for 4 yrs. I was told they've never taken care of all of my property. Smh I was told it would cost $200 to complete my property that's been done in its entirety for 4 years. It's the same yard I purchased in 2018. Your property doesn't grow overnight. I did 1 step better after awful and disappointing customer service. I've heard NO many times before. I only wanted to be clear of the situation that happened. So, I called back after a person unprofessional and unknowledgeable to anything I was saying. Also unprepared on my property size. Using old map data for my home. I was told I had lots of trees on my property. Removed 31 trees in 2018 upon purchase. The portions in question are the added white fence across the yard. The moral to the review is. You're paying too much for Pointe services. They're probably not providing the services you're paying for. The customer service is disrespectful, Samantha, and the other unknowledgeable young lady. Call Mosquito Joe.. Mosquito Joe has organic products that are better for pets and gardening. Also, Mosquito Joe gives a 10 percent discount. This was the worst experience! I set up services with Kyle. I told him I was unsatisfied with my current pest control company and customer service and communication was very important to me. He assured me I would have 100% satisfaction with pointe pest control. I signed up for services and scheduled an appointment. I just called since I realized that they never came on the date that was confirmed. To my confusion when I called this morning they told me I wasn't in their service area. How is it possible that I signed up, gave my address and credit card number in July for services to start in September and this wasn't caught? No one called me even on the day I was scheduled to try and figure out where the miscommunication happened on their end. And after speaking to a manager and Kyle who signed me up all they had to say was "Sorry, I guess I screwed up." and "I'm sure you could go back to your old pest service." This is completely unacceptable to run a business like this. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Kyle should be fired, how hard is it to punch in my address and see whether I'm in your district that they service or not? I've wasted time and energy and am back at square 1 where I was 2 months ago. 0 stars for this company and -10 stars for Kyle. DO BETTER. We were told by the technician that we had bed bugs after finding an exoskeleton rather than the fleas we thought we had. We were charged $1,500 for two treatments that lasted a total of one hour for both treatments combined. After the first treatment, we were told that the bug activity would increase. The bug activity did increase and never decreased by the second treatment. After the second treatment, the activity level never decreased. We sent pictures of what was left every night by the bugs. The technician set bug traps in the areas that he previously sprayed. We ended up throwing out one mattress and box spring, two futon mattresses, two sectional couches (11 pieces total), dresser, breakfast nook and a dining room and chair set. We set up a third appointment and the technician came out. He did not seem like he wanted to be there. He looked at the traps and said they were clean. He said he did his job and got rid of the bed bugs. We are still experiencing the itching and problems we had in the first place. We still see the white flakes in the morning on our sheets along with short hair follicles. We still end up vacuuming three to four times a day and no end in sight. read more

I've been a customer for more than a year, I get both Mosquito and Pest Control .... I had an upcoming pest control scheduled, but wanted to cancel that visit and continue with the next. I was told, they don't cancel, they only reschedule, I had no choice but to cancel my service and I'll be looking for another Pest Control company. We were satisfied with Pointe service at 2 houses. One had ant problem. The other mosquitos. For ants however we since has discovered that if we spray they perimeter of our house in spring and in fall, also apply Terro ant traps, we can avoid paying for the service and not have ant issue. For mosquitoes Pointe is the 2nd company we use, and we will hire them again. They spray stuff that is effective and helps us eliminate the need for re-treatment. We have a shady, near a lake 1 acre lot. The mosquitos get brutal. The other company had to be called again and again to retreat, not Pointe. read more

This company is terrible. Do not use them unless you want to be scammed. I hired Pointe Pest control to deal with a mouse problem. They would not come out for a single visit unless I signed a year long agreement which I did not need or want. They then proceeded to schedule visits to my house to perform their "quarterly" service (which consisted of nothing because I didn't want them spraying chemicals in my house or garden) and charged me $120 per visit. I wasn't home for the last visit and they still charged me $120! It took 3-4 visits to get the mice problem under control . Terrible service and terrible customer service over the phone. read more

This situation may only be specific to me, but worth sharing. Honestly, this place has major integrity issues. I called as a new customer and received a quote which I agreed to via phone. Note, this was a 30 minute conversation. They called me the next day to change my appointment, which already rubbed my the wrong way. Once the gentlemen showed up, they gave me a completely different quote. I was so furious since I know what was quoted. I called customer service and told them to pull the call. The rep "understood" the situation and advised a manager would call me back. Of course, no call back. Technician was 2 hours late from the Saturday operating window. Came around 2:30 PM & left his plastic gloves and shoe covers on the side of the street instead of putting them in trash. Very unprofessional service. Sad to be paying $110 for a 5 minute service that was late, and had to pick up leftover trash. After my contract is done, I will not be using Pointe Pest Control. My first initial experience was better, but after they lure you in from the first informative visit, everything after that is a joke. It's also too pricey for the lack of care/interest by these techs. I've seen other pest control places that charge $70 a treatment with no contract. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Extremely poor customer service. We called on a Monday, and they agreed to come out on a Thursday morning. On Wednesday, they called to confirm, then called back 10 minutes later to say that they needed to change the time. We were unable to accommodate the later time (because I'd already cleared my morning schedule for this), and asked to cancel. They said they'd see what they could do, and call us back in a few minutes to let us know when they were coming. Never called back. I attempted to re-contact them, but they were closed. So I used their online chat service and asked to cancel. Was told that the appointment was cancelled. Lo and behold, they showed up the next morning. The poor guy had no clue that scheduling was so messed up, no clue that we'd cancelled, and the office had told him it was a mice problem (when it's a larger animal). When I told him what was going on, he said animal control was a better bet anyway. We ended up finding a different company. The guy who came out was quite polite and seemed knowledgeable. This is not a slight on him. This is an annoyance at their administrative/scheduling staff, poor communication, and inability to follow up when promised. Don't call them. read more
