Easy Tiger has changed ownership groups a few times over the last few years. Several of the recipes, service, etc have changed. Since they first opened Easy Tiger had a great morning menu option called Easy Morning. A cup of coffee and a pastry for $5. Imagine my surprise when I went in this week, ordered the same thing and now it is $11??!! We aren't talking about a latte and a pastry. Drip coffee. 8 oz. I get that there is inflation, etc and prices need to go up but this is easily 30-40% more than comparable elsewhere. We are talking about counter service coffee and a pastry from the case. $8 and you might keep my business. $11 and I'm gone. There isn't anything the differentiates Easy Tiger from any other coffee shop within a mile. It's a bit of a bummer because I really enjoyed Easy Tiger for the last decade. Wouldn't be surprised if they don't shut down for breakfast in the near future. Competing for that business is clearly not something they are interested in doing. read more

Let's talk about some of the "perks" of this location. It's very near some electric charging stations so you can charge your EV; it's specifically for Tesla but if you have a compatible charger, it's easy to go grab a quick bite to eat and a pint. They also have an in-house bakery, with excellent options. On Sundays they also offer discounts so as to not waste bread. Combine both perks and charge your EV and grab some extra bread and be a hero at the Office on Mondays! read more

Absolutely horrible! One of the worst experiences I've ever had! I should have turned around and walked out the door when I saw the flies swarming and landing on the tables, literally had to wave them away the entire time we were eating. I ordered the chicken and dumpling soup, and omg it was a bowl of greasy and oily mess, the dumplings were horrendous! I took one bite and got sick to my stomach! My daughter ordered the pastrami sandwich and it was just a packed slab of fat and she only had a few bites and couldn't eat anymore. My son got the fried chicken sandwich and said it was stringy and dry and didn't want to finish it. We will not ever go back to this place again. Such disgusting food! read more

I love coming to Easy Tiger for brunch. There's plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. I usually sit outdoors when I bring my dog. It's almost always busy on weekends during brunch hours but the wait for a table is never long and the service is always friendly. My go-to is their egg sandwich served on the fluffiest, cloud-like bun. I'm always indecisive and will get my sandwich with either sausage or avocado. Both solid choices. Waffle fries are great for sharing. And do not miss the ginormous Bavarian pretzel! The side of beer cheese is the cherry on top. They also sell these pretzels at Q2 stadium, so get one! I also recommend checking out their bakery inside. Their sourdough boules are great and the cranberry loaf sells out quickly, so get one before someone else does. read more

This beer garden is spacious and well designed. It takes me back to Germany. While it was packed on a Sunday at noon, there were still a few unoccupied tables both inside and outside. I ordered the French toast bites ($13.80) and my friend ordered the breakfast sandwich ($10.55). This French toast was very interesting as it was made out of baguette bread. I enjoyed it with the blackberries, maple syrup, and butter, although I felt that they skimped on the berries. My friend liked his breakfast sandwich. However, we were both not full after eating our meals. At these high prices, we were expecting to at least have a filling meal. I love this location. I came in today for a bite and a loaf, and discovered their lunch special from 11-2 mon-fri for $14.95. My selection was the tomato bisque and the BLT on sourdough. Fresh and delicious. The BLT came with arugula, which is not my favorite, but the aioli and thick bacon made it barely noticeable. The service was great, very peaceful, they don't overwhelm with welcomes and questions, very natural and fluid. I sat outside in the sun and it was perfect. Birds were singing, it was in the 70's, just absolutely perfect to sit and have lunch outside. My fresh sourdough loaf will last me a bit until my next visit. read more

Food is awesome! No complaints there. But the honesty of the staff? That's a different story. I came in early on a Sunday morning around 8 AM. I told the cashier I wanted an iced matcha latte, and according to the receipt, I was charged for a large. However, the girl who made the drink handed me what looked like a regular 12 oz iced matcha -- for $7. When I pointed out that I was charged for a large but given a smaller size, she told me, "They come in one size for iced." My response? Then charge me for the 12 oz at $7 -- not the 16 oz large at $8 -- if there's only one size for iced drinks. Not happy with the service at all. Came here as an informal work happy hour on a Friday. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. I ordered a happy hour margarita, the bratwurst on the pretzel bun, and croissant. All the three were enjoyable but I wouldn't mark them as my personal all time favorites. My co workers ordered the pretzel and we both were expecting a soft pretzel (and maybe that's on us) but it was not, so we were a little disappointed at that. My co workers ordered actual lunch items but I was a little tardy to the party to I just got the few things to snack on. Water is available and servers would rotate every few minutes to check in and see if we needed anything. Overall, I saw a lot of people coming to just catch up and chat casually or work and I think I'd definitely return for that reason alone. The main downfall is that everything is overpriced and they recently changed their happy hour to make it more limiting and less enticing. If you don't know what you want to drink, trust him--he'll steer you toward something that fits your vibe perfectly. He remembers faces, checks in at the exact right moments, and treats every order with the same care whether it's a complicated cocktail or a simple beer. Watching him work is like watching someone who actually takes pride in the craft, and it shows in every little detail. (His margaritas are top tier) M, on the server side, is just as warm, attentive, and effortlessly on top of everything, she has that rare ability to make you feel welcome without hovering. She noticed things before we even had to ask--water refills, extra napkins, timing out our food so it hit the table perfectly, all of it. Her energy is genuinely contagious, and she brings a level of kindness and professionalism that makes you want to stay longer just because you're having such a good experience. Together, they're honestly a powerhouse. You can tell they care about what they do, and they elevate Easy Tiger from a fun beer garden to a spot you actually look forward to returning to. So I went there today for a friend's birthday. She loves the French toast bites. Apparently Easy Tiger has been bought by MML Hospitality and they have removed that from their menu. Along with about two dozen other brunch items. If you like their Mexican mocha don't go because that's gone too. Ironic, given this recent quote in Tribeza: "When asked if longtime customers should expect surprises beyond their favorite classics, Hershberger said, 'Absolutely! There will be some exciting additions to the lineup. If I told you what they are, then it wouldn't be a surprise, would it?'" Additions? What about all the subtractions? Maybe this abbreviated menu is temporary and some favorites will be back when they officially on 9/21/25. But if that's the case, put that on the tiny menu and tell the servers. We felt sorry for the server because he's obviously having to deal with the fallout of decisions made by the new owners. But he was very professional and nice. The items just aren't the same. My friend ordered a breakfast taco and I couldn't see a tortilla around it, but it was a tiny portion of egg with bacon that didn't look like a taco. It also came out by itself. Then my friend who ordered a bagel had hers arrive. I was the only person who didn't order a cooked item, I ordered a pastry. That came out about 15 minutes after their two items came out. All in all a very strange experience. It used to be a bustling place on weekends with lots of people there for brunch. Today there were far fewer people there, and honestly far more children. Sad to see this Austin staple that has been great for years get changed up so completely by a new owner. I don't think it will be a go-to brunch spot for us anymore unless this truncated menu is just temporary. read more

I love Easy Tiger. This is my first time at this location. Parking lot is decent. They have a huge outside covered patio. They have lots of seating inside too. WiFi is available. Looks like a lot of people come here to work. Pastries were beautifully displayed. I'm actually surprised they had as much as they did at 12:30pm with a full house of people. Had to get pain au chocolat. And a croissant. They looked so buttery. Bread looked amazing also. I love their sourdough. Customer service was on point. Gentleman behind the counter took my order, was very nice and bagged up my goodies. He even sliced my bread in the slicer machine. When I got home, I had the pain au chocolat, it's super flakey. I ate it over my kitchen sink. Just made crumbs everywhere. It's very flakey, lightly crispy, and buttery. I heated mine in the toaster, which made the chocolate warm and soft. Very good. Croissant is for breakfast tomorrow, and I already know it's going to be buttery and flakey too. Im looking forward to having it. Came here to work remotely one Friday afternoon. I will definitely be back for several reasons. First, the Wi-Fi was really good so I could get things done without experiencing connectivity issues. Since they have the large outdoor beer garden, there was definitely ample space to set up shop. I found a picnic table next to an outlet, so I could keep my laptop charged. They have a few vegetarian lunch items, and I went with the quinoa bowl. It was delicious! Worth the $14.95. The crispy chickpeas, the sweet potatoes and the tahini dressing were super tasty. The great thing is that happy hour starts at 2 PM, so I grabbed an old-fashioned. It was well worth the $5 price tag. Really rough experience. There was four of us and basically the server forgot to put in our food order and didn't notice. We got there at 10:30 am on a Sunday and it was NOT BUSY when we sat down. We order some drinks, and then later, put in our food orders. We get our drinks and wait. We sat around watching other people around us getting our food. We finished our coffees and mimosas and sat around our empty table. She never came to check on our food or ask about drink refills. I ended up flagging down another server and asked if she could check on our food. Our server came back and asked me only if I ever got my food. I responded that the whole table hasn't gotten their food. She looked was really surprised. Then she came back and asked if someone's bagel had came out. And we were like literally nothing. We've been seating for almost 45 minutes at this point. She ended up frantically writing our order on a napkin. We ended up getting food, and 3 of the 4 orders had mistakes in them. We just ate what we were delivered, an hour after we were seated. She did apologize and then brought us a full bill. It was not split between the couples. Nothing was comped for our really extended wait, not even our coffees. I feel like when a restaurant messes up that bad, they should apologize to us with at least a comped drink or pastry. We threw a party for about 30 people at Easy Tiger and they seriously could not have been more wonderful or accommodating. The manager, Stetson, greeted us and went over all the food and service very thoroughly. Our server, Lily, was FANTASTIC. She was so friendly and attentive. They gave us a separate room upstairs. Which was so great. We ordered several "boards": pretzels, charcuterie, sandwiches, deviled eggs, Brussel Sprouts (my favorite), salad and a variety of desserts. Easy Tiger is casual but fun and has a nice updated aesthetic. They have a nice low key playlist that thankfully isn't plated overly loud. Our party couldn't have gone any better we were so pleased. One of our friends was in town for work and staying downtown so we met him halfway at the easy tiger linc location. It was my first visit and they have a cool space with inside space upstairs and down as well as a dozen or so larger tables outside. It was icy out so naturally we sat inside. The beer selection was good and I ordered a new belching beaver ipa and my buddy got a newer ipa from meanwhile. My fiance really wanted a hot chocolate + pastry which they have a deal for but unfortunately they were out of all pastries (it was 6pm and they said they made less because of the weather). She ended up getting a hot totty and said it was good. For food, my fiance and I shared a lemony brussels sprouts, which were pretty good. My buddy got a bowl of soup and a giant pretzel. The pretzel was giant but he commented that you have to pay extra for beer cheese and mustard which isn't something I've seen anywhere before. The bread on his sandwich was so hard it was tough to eat. The food was ok overall but it's more of a snack and drink spot imo, probably good for larger groups. Service was spotty which was weird as they were really slow. You can order through the qr code or the waiter and I made the mistake of ordering my first drink from him which led to a long wait for drink #2. Honestly, this is a disappointing review to have to write. Five years ago this review would've looked pretty different, but Easy Tiger has not emerged from Covid unscathed, though it seemed like it was struggling even before then. The menu has shrunk, removing some of their best items (see also my Croque Madame picture from 2019 RIP), and the prices have inflated beyond what should be construed as reasonable for a spot like this, IMO. If you're going to Easy Tiger, go for a pint, or during happy hour where you'll be able to get food like pretzels and sausage for less than $10. Cocktails are OK too at the reduced prices. Any other time you're going to walk away with just fair food for more than you probably meant to spend. On the plus side, still a great place to meet up with a group as there is plenty of space to go around most of the time. The baked bread is excellent, but it's much easier to grab a loaf from HEB where they deliver to. I have some hope Easy Tiger can get back its old mojo, hopefully needing to close some of their locations will be a wakeup call and they'll get back to the fundamentals! read more
