To top it off, the staff surprised us with a complimentary baklava dessert, three generously sized triangles, flaky and sweet and absolutely delicious. Ate very little.... I ordered the lamb kabob....it was ok but pretty bland, looked like processed little meat balls. . Service was good and friendly, no owner on site. In past visits I loved their Asobuco but none was on the menu. That's what I wanted to order. There was free baklava ....wasn't looking for free....went up to the counter to order some. Then was given two out of a bunch of stacked containers behind the register. If I hadn't inquired wouldn't have known. In past visits they always walked around with a tray and offered. This was dry as well..... I do appreciate free but not dry. I was willing to pay. I probably caught them on an off night, business was good which is always a good sign. I'll give them another shot but won't order the Chicken Chips.

Olive & Ivy looked promising, but the actual experience was even better than I imagined. First of all, this is a fantastic place with a great atmosphere. Whether you're visiting with family, friends, or dining by yourself, it's a place where you can feel comfortable and enjoy a great meal. I was seated at the very nice and comfortable bar area, where the bartenders were fantastic, attentive, and ready to accommodate any request. The little bruschettas were a great way to start the meal. I followed them with a salad, they even accommodated a half portion for me. Then I finished with the short rib. Everything was delicious, well-prepared, and served in generous portions. I honestly expected this place to be more expensive, but the prices were extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food, service, and overall experience. You can definitely expect to see me back here the next time I'm in town! Thank you for providing such a great experience. Keep up the excellent work!

Every detail you notice is extravagant and purposeful. Visiting on a Saturday for lunch, there were plenty of other families eating together too. I noticed the crowd was mostly older, which lets you know this restaurant is a true staple in the community (I find that usually the old people know what's up). As all 4 of us weren't super hungry, we split the Persian Room Special- Combination of barg (Filet mignon), chicken filet and Koobideh kebab, served with basmati rice and grilled tomato. It was a huge portion of food, served on a large silver platter. The menu states that it serves 2, but it perfectly filled us 4 adults! Granted, we weren't super hungry to begin with, but 2 is definitely an underestimate. I'd say it can easily satisfy 3 hungry adults. Anyway, quantity aside, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Everything was so flavorful and paired well together. The meat was also juicy. My favorite was the koobideh kebab for sure. There isn't much more I can say, as the food speaks for itself. The Persian Room is definitely something you need to try for yourself. Weeks later, I'm still craving it and will definitely be back!

I ordered the kabob koobideh plate for $16 to go and browsed the store. I bought some spices including shawarma mix, tumeric, star anise seeds for about $4 each per bag (I forgot the volume of the bags, but they're about the size of my fist). I ate my food in the car since I couldn't wait until after finishing my errands. Wow, the meat was so juicy and flavorful. It paired perfectly with the white sauce (which I think was a yogurt salad?). My biggest complaint was the fact that 70% of the to-go container was rice and 30% was meat. Then a container of the yogurt on the side. If I come back, I'd probably opt for the kabob koobideh sandwich option instead, as it is less than half the cost. Otherwise, I loved the authentic food and would consider going back - probably more so for the spices though.
