There have been some changes since my last visit a decade ago. The apple juice was the main one. Next time I am definitely getting the churro waffles! I do love that this spot uses cinnamon in many items. The Mexican Coffee was excellent with a whole stick of cinnamon served in it, and sweetened with piloncillo. It's so much better than any other type of sweetener! For the really busy mornings, you can join the waitlist through Yelp, once you're within a couple of miles away. Luckily it wasn't super busy when we arrived at 9am on a Saturday morning, and there were plenty of seats available. They also have three tables outside for those with dogs, or who just want to enjoy the fresh air with their breakfast.
The breakfast burritos are incredible here! Wide variety of ingredients, flavor and more. My wife tried the soyrizo burrito whereas I grabbed their carne asada burrito. Both were loaded with veggies, guacamole and more. Small space but there is still seating and the food is always made fresh and to order, along with a fresh salsa. Very friendly service and looking forward to returning soon. Would definitely recommend trying their staple carne asada burrito and going from there!
I've been here several times in the past back when I was really into Benedicts, and this place made some delicious ones. The pork belly Bennie used to be my go-to every time. But now that I've kind of moved on from my Bennie phase, I found myself staring at the menu wondering what to order instead. After going back and forth for a while, I decided on the Serrano Chicken Sandwich - and it ended up being a great choice according to our server. It had a really nice spicy kick, and I especially loved the crunchy onions that added extra texture to every bite. I picked the mixed greens salad as my side, though the dressing made it a little too sour for my taste so I couldn't finish it. My boyfriend, who's a big omelette person, ordered the veggie omelette. It was decent, though I do wish they offered more than just 4 omelette options on the menu. Overall, still a good brunch spot with good food and a nice atmosphere.
I loved the food. Chicken and waffles soooo good. I love that everything is freshly made and organic. The sausage and gravy was really good and made from scratch. Dont miss out on the champagne flight, you get jars not glasses lol. Loved the guava. Reason for 3 stars is service is not the best. Its young kids that seem to be poorly trained. They dont have the proper etiquette as for as service. We had to ask for everything such as silverware menus and drinks. They need to be more attentive and aware of their tables.
The brunch here is good, but I wouldn't consider it well-valued. I ordered a Benny Sampler for $25, which comes with three eggs bennys and a side of potatoes. The bennys were traditional, rancho, and pork belly. The traditional ham was dry and tough to cut through. The pork belly was tender, but had an odd inclusion of pickles. The rancho was great with tender carnitas and avocado sauce. Also ordered the breakfast burrito ($18), which included eggs, bacon, hashbrowns. It was mostly filled with hashbrowns/eggs, and limited bacon. The accompanying green sauce was a good dip. Egg Surcharge - FYI there was a $2 egg surcharge for ordering items with eggs. I understand that egg prices were sky high during the shortage, which would justify the fee. However, egg prices have come down since then. The owner needs to consider the marginal fluctuation in egg prices as the "cost of doing business". Don't spring that undisclosed fee onto customers.
It was okay, but not somewhere I'd return. We waited about 30 minutes for our food, and since we sat outside, service felt less attentive. I also waited a while for a hot chocolate refill, but they don't offer refills. The $14 waffle was fine but overpriced for not coming with a side. The "skillet potatoes" were more like garlic fries, which I didn't like. My friend's chicken sandwich was a little soft and greasy, but she did enjoy the fries and ranch. The hot chocolate was the highlight. Overall, underwhelming for the price.
HUGE fruity pebble pancake, SO good. Their syrup is different, it's amazing but it not a regular syrup from the store. All the food is bomb. Salmon Benedict, decent size too. Service is quick. Only downside is the hours and that since it's smaller, the tables are SO close together. Def packed in tight. Wish it was open past 2:30 but makes sense for a bfast place
Would not go here again or recommend based on service alone. Food was great, me and my friends enjoyed the food. Service was terrible. Our waiter was inattentive while it wasnt that busy. We had to ask for our waters 3 times before finally getting them. When we wanted to pay the bill, the waiter was off talking to his friends, and we saw him pop a zyn as well.
So, we come in at 1015am on a Thursday. There are 4 other tables occupied in an otherwise empty restaurant. The unenthused server possessed of a French "ennui", bored-with-life vibe offers coffee (good), doesn't know the waffle of the week (not great), and disappears behind a bus station to check her phone for 20 mins at a time rather than walking the floor to check on tables. No buckwheat on hand for the buckwheat pancake I fancied (it's a bulk staple, so how do you run out?). Ordered the brioche french toast and an omelette. While overpriced (~$19 for the french toast) and delivery 20+ minutes after ordering (industry standard is about 10-12 mins for this dish, less for the omelette), taste was good and almost made up for the blasé service and tardiness. Net-net, this was my fourth and final stop at Early Bird. I might miss the french toast, but they won't miss us.
I visited Early Bird on a random Wednesday to grab brunch with my mom, and what a wonderful place it turned out to be! Early Bird is a seat yourself type of location, or at least that's how it was when we visited. I grabbed a couple of menus and found a table for my mom and me. My mom ordered a hot house coffee and I got a latte. My mom said that their house coffee was good, which is a crazy good compliment coming from her! The food itself was also very delicious and the price did not break the wallet. Again, when I went, it was relatively quiet (maybe only one or two other parties there), but our server was still very attentive. I believe her name was Cassie or something along those lines? She was absolutely wonderful and so sweet! I can't wait to swing by for some brunch again soon :) Definitely suggest giving them a try if you're in the area!
Service: Our service was amazing! We are definitely going to be coming back! Food: All of the food was so good. The Benedict was our favorite. The loaded fries were very salty. Seems like there was like a lot of soy sauce. Outside: They have a lot of parking and had a few tables outside. Inside: They have a decent amount of tables considering the size of the restaurant. It is decorated very cute and pleasing. It was very clean.
Early Bird is one of my new favorite breakfast spots! It's definitely a busy place, but the nice thing is Yelp gives you the option to join the waitlist ahead of time, which made the process super convenient. The food was delicious. I ordered the Churro Waffle, which was perfectly balanced--not overly sweet--and the added butter on the side was a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the bananas on top, though I do wish there were a few more of them. I also tried the turkey sandwich on sourdough with sweet potato fries, and it was amazing. The combination of Gouda cheese and the aïoli gave it a rich, savory flavor that really stood out. On top of the great food, the staff was kind, friendly, and very attentive, which made the busy atmosphere feel relaxed and welcoming. If you're looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot, I'd definitely recommend checking out Early Bird!

I continue to love this restaurant. Today I had the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs--delicious. The biscuits were tender, and the gravy was flavorful. I got them with the hash browns, and I think this is my favorite place for hash browns, btw. Nice and crispy, and they put some kinds of herbs, onion, and a little cheese in them. Love, love, love them--I get them any time I get a side here. The Mexican coffee is also delicious--give it a try! Much better with its free refills than the Starbucks next door! Enjoy! read more

First off, this little breakfast place in an outdoor shopping center was so surprising! Not a ton of room inside, so I can imagine on busy days you'll be waiting for a table but it's well worth the wait. I am an Eggs Benedict lover and immediately went for the Benny Sampler. You get THREE of the best bennys - a traditional (can't go wrong) a pork belly Benedict (CRISPY pork belly with pickles and a special hollandaise sauce) and a Rancho Benedict (by far the BEST Benedict I've ever had). If I return, (I live in NorCal so SoCal visits are always trying to squeeze in the best food) I am absolutely getting the Rancho Benedicts. Tender and succulent shredded pork, Avocado Emulsion Pico de Gallo, and a tomatillo hollandaise sauce! I paired my plate with a mug of their Mexican Coffee- hands down some of the best coffee I've ever had and I know my coffee. Served with massive cinnamon stick, this coffee can be had black. Subtly sweet with the cinnamon and truly warms the soul. The only thing I personally wasn't fond of, were the hash browns. They were slightly sweet? And I'm not sure if maybe this was a one off, or perhaps something to do with the type of potatoes that were used. Not my fav, but hey, could be someone else's. My fiancé got a breakfast sandwich with an over easy egg and devoured it so I assume it was just as tasty! read more

One of our regular family breakfast spots. Usually crowded but worth it. Get on the waitlist online through Yelp. Chilaquiles are killer. I dream about the coffee served here. Don't expect quick service. And see my pic, egg surcharge has begun. read more

Came here for brunch on sunday! It was over an hour wait but i love how we were able to join the waitlist ahead of time so we didn't have to wait too long after we arrived! We got the pork belly benedict, the rancho benedict, and the carnitas chilaquiles. The food came out decently fast and was delicious! Portion sizes were pretty good i was stuffed after finishing the pork belly benedicts. Definitely would come back here if I am in the area! read more

If you're looking for brunch in north OC, this is a great choice. I went for a celebratory brunch after running a half-marathon. For these occasions, I always like to get a mimosa, and wow, did Early Bird deliver! Their mimosa flight is incredible. And so is their food! I loved my plate of chilaquiles. They also offer a Mexican coffee that adds a flavorful twist to your usual cup of joe. Top it all off with friendly service and a casual modern ambiance, and you've got yourself a fantastic start to the day! You might have to wait to get a table, but it's worth it. read more

Overall, this place is a hit. I will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu. The mimosa flight was delicious. The Ribeye and Chilaquiles were 4/5; definitely enough to share if not super hungry. The Duck Confit Hash was 3/5; I was not expecting the white raisins in there. Churro Waffle was 5/5! read more

***USE YELP CHECK IN FOR WAITLIST*** This is a tiny spot inside a shopping center next to stater bros. The lines are long on the weekend did too limited capacity at a time.... So get ready for a wait. Be mindful only open until 2/230 too. Specializes in brunch only. Ordered the pumpkin cheesecake, pancake, and the Benedict trio. Everything was very delicious. The pancake was scrumptious. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. And we really enjoyed it. I love the fact that you got one Benedict of each flavor bacon, duck and pork belly. The savory and sweet winter will gather very well. Me and my friend shared half of everything, and it was a lot of food, especially the pancakes! read more
Throughly enjoyed my breakfast here! My friend and I split the chilaquiles and they were great. However, the best thing we had was the Elvis waffle! It came in a sandwich, and was amazing! The waffle was thin and crispy and the bacon/ Nutella and bananas were such a treat. 10/10 recommend! Also, My friend did get the Mexican coffee, it came with a giant cinnamon stick and was extremely tasty. Pro tip: expect to wait. This place was busy during breakfast hours!!! I love Early Bird, and this is the best brunch spot in Fullerton, hands down! I lived in Fully for school, and this would be my go-to brunch spot. My favorite part of the meal is their hashbrowns; it's crispy and flavorful because of the onion and cheese. You can't go wrong with their Traditional Egg Benedict or Pork Belly Benedict. On my last visit, I ordered the Pork Belly Benedict, and it was great; the pickles were subtle and thinly sliced. They also have a unique Early Bird sauce on the table, which I highly recommend using on your potatoes or if you want to add any extra flavor to any part of your meal. If you go on the weekend, expect a line and hop on that Yelp waitlist for a more convenient experience. read more
Is it me or are there really not that many great breakfast places out here??? We ordered the avocado toast, the chocolate chip pancake and the chicken sandwich along with hash browns. So the avocado toast was the only thing that was ok. The food lacked salt and flavor. Also the service was not really good either. I most likely will not be back here. read more

Pretty packed on a Sunday, but joining the Yelp waitlist helped a lot and the turnaround time was quick. + Traditional Eggs Benedict w hash brown side ($18.50): perfectly runny eggs over layers of country ham on a toasted English muffin. Liked the side of fresh tomato. The hash browns were elevated as they seem to fry it w grilled onion and cheese. Overall, pricey for eggs Benedict but yummy. (7.8/10) read more

First off, I want to say what a cute spot to eat it. The simplistic yet comforting style of early bird is the best. I love coming here on the weekend with my family to eat. Most importantly to food does not disappoint. The evidence is in the picture. If you have a sweet tooth I would recommend the Dutch waffle and the pancake. Honestly the best made whip cream, sweet blue berries, and perfectly crispy waffle is amazing. Service is good. Very friendly staff however the wait time is a little long to be seated and to be served although they are very busy. Maybe the time for the food takes awhile because it is fresh and delicious. The wait is worth it. read more

Sorry we dont but you can always use Yelp to add your name to the waitlist and then that way you can wait at home until your table is almost next. If you add your name on yelp, you’ll be able to see at all times how many parties are ahead of you

Yes on their website but the last 6 times I've gone here, they say their online ordering system isn't working (even though it will let you place an order). So I would advise against it and call to place an order instead.
Why would nobody be answering the phone when it's already your business hours? I called 10x from 7:33 thru 7:48, and it just goes to vm!
Probably because they are busy serving customers that are already there... and they don't have a secretary or receptionist.... ??
Are they open? I see reviews from a few weeks ago but when I call in for order pick up no one ever answers the phone? I've tried checking elsewhere to see if there is any information about their operating hours due to COVID-19.
Yes we are 7:30-2pm and Saturday and Sunday until 2:30pm. We are open for “to-go” orders only and we are also partnered with UberEats as well. Sorry for the late reply.
Are there non-dairy options?
Yes. As far as almond milk and soy milk. I want to say I remember there being food options but I didn't specifically order any food with that option we just asked for the butter on the side.

I have never tried, but on the weekends I will put my name on a waitlist through yelp it is so helpful! It tells you how many people are in front of you and if you live close you can check in from home and get there and be seated very quickly
