There have been some changes since my last visit a decade ago. The apple juice was the main one. Next time I am definitely getting the churro waffles! I do love that this spot uses cinnamon in many items. The Mexican Coffee was excellent with a whole stick of cinnamon served in it, and sweetened with piloncillo. It's so much better than any other type of sweetener! For the really busy mornings, you can join the waitlist through Yelp, once you're within a couple of miles away. Luckily it wasn't super busy when we arrived at 9am on a Saturday morning, and there were plenty of seats available. They also have three tables outside for those with dogs, or who just want to enjoy the fresh air with their breakfast.
The breakfast burritos are incredible here! Wide variety of ingredients, flavor and more. My wife tried the soyrizo burrito whereas I grabbed their carne asada burrito. Both were loaded with veggies, guacamole and more. Small space but there is still seating and the food is always made fresh and to order, along with a fresh salsa. Very friendly service and looking forward to returning soon. Would definitely recommend trying their staple carne asada burrito and going from there!
I've been here several times in the past back when I was really into Benedicts, and this place made some delicious ones. The pork belly Bennie used to be my go-to every time. But now that I've kind of moved on from my Bennie phase, I found myself staring at the menu wondering what to order instead. After going back and forth for a while, I decided on the Serrano Chicken Sandwich - and it ended up being a great choice according to our server. It had a really nice spicy kick, and I especially loved the crunchy onions that added extra texture to every bite. I picked the mixed greens salad as my side, though the dressing made it a little too sour for my taste so I couldn't finish it. My boyfriend, who's a big omelette person, ordered the veggie omelette. It was decent, though I do wish they offered more than just 4 omelette options on the menu. Overall, still a good brunch spot with good food and a nice atmosphere.
I loved the food. Chicken and waffles soooo good. I love that everything is freshly made and organic. The sausage and gravy was really good and made from scratch. Dont miss out on the champagne flight, you get jars not glasses lol. Loved the guava. Reason for 3 stars is service is not the best. Its young kids that seem to be poorly trained. They dont have the proper etiquette as for as service. We had to ask for everything such as silverware menus and drinks. They need to be more attentive and aware of their tables.
The brunch here is good, but I wouldn't consider it well-valued. I ordered a Benny Sampler for $25, which comes with three eggs bennys and a side of potatoes. The bennys were traditional, rancho, and pork belly. The traditional ham was dry and tough to cut through. The pork belly was tender, but had an odd inclusion of pickles. The rancho was great with tender carnitas and avocado sauce. Also ordered the breakfast burrito ($18), which included eggs, bacon, hashbrowns. It was mostly filled with hashbrowns/eggs, and limited bacon. The accompanying green sauce was a good dip. Egg Surcharge - FYI there was a $2 egg surcharge for ordering items with eggs. I understand that egg prices were sky high during the shortage, which would justify the fee. However, egg prices have come down since then. The owner needs to consider the marginal fluctuation in egg prices as the "cost of doing business". Don't spring that undisclosed fee onto customers.
It was okay, but not somewhere I'd return. We waited about 30 minutes for our food, and since we sat outside, service felt less attentive. I also waited a while for a hot chocolate refill, but they don't offer refills. The $14 waffle was fine but overpriced for not coming with a side. The "skillet potatoes" were more like garlic fries, which I didn't like. My friend's chicken sandwich was a little soft and greasy, but she did enjoy the fries and ranch. The hot chocolate was the highlight. Overall, underwhelming for the price.
HUGE fruity pebble pancake, SO good. Their syrup is different, it's amazing but it not a regular syrup from the store. All the food is bomb. Salmon Benedict, decent size too. Service is quick. Only downside is the hours and that since it's smaller, the tables are SO close together. Def packed in tight. Wish it was open past 2:30 but makes sense for a bfast place
Would not go here again or recommend based on service alone. Food was great, me and my friends enjoyed the food. Service was terrible. Our waiter was inattentive while it wasnt that busy. We had to ask for our waters 3 times before finally getting them. When we wanted to pay the bill, the waiter was off talking to his friends, and we saw him pop a zyn as well.
So, we come in at 1015am on a Thursday. There are 4 other tables occupied in an otherwise empty restaurant. The unenthused server possessed of a French "ennui", bored-with-life vibe offers coffee (good), doesn't know the waffle of the week (not great), and disappears behind a bus station to check her phone for 20 mins at a time rather than walking the floor to check on tables. No buckwheat on hand for the buckwheat pancake I fancied (it's a bulk staple, so how do you run out?). Ordered the brioche french toast and an omelette. While overpriced (~$19 for the french toast) and delivery 20+ minutes after ordering (industry standard is about 10-12 mins for this dish, less for the omelette), taste was good and almost made up for the blasé service and tardiness. Net-net, this was my fourth and final stop at Early Bird. I might miss the french toast, but they won't miss us.
I visited Early Bird on a random Wednesday to grab brunch with my mom, and what a wonderful place it turned out to be! Early Bird is a seat yourself type of location, or at least that's how it was when we visited. I grabbed a couple of menus and found a table for my mom and me. My mom ordered a hot house coffee and I got a latte. My mom said that their house coffee was good, which is a crazy good compliment coming from her! The food itself was also very delicious and the price did not break the wallet. Again, when I went, it was relatively quiet (maybe only one or two other parties there), but our server was still very attentive. I believe her name was Cassie or something along those lines? She was absolutely wonderful and so sweet! I can't wait to swing by for some brunch again soon :) Definitely suggest giving them a try if you're in the area!
Service: Our service was amazing! We are definitely going to be coming back! Food: All of the food was so good. The Benedict was our favorite. The loaded fries were very salty. Seems like there was like a lot of soy sauce. Outside: They have a lot of parking and had a few tables outside. Inside: They have a decent amount of tables considering the size of the restaurant. It is decorated very cute and pleasing. It was very clean.
Early Bird is one of my new favorite breakfast spots! It's definitely a busy place, but the nice thing is Yelp gives you the option to join the waitlist ahead of time, which made the process super convenient. The food was delicious. I ordered the Churro Waffle, which was perfectly balanced--not overly sweet--and the added butter on the side was a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the bananas on top, though I do wish there were a few more of them. I also tried the turkey sandwich on sourdough with sweet potato fries, and it was amazing. The combination of Gouda cheese and the aïoli gave it a rich, savory flavor that really stood out. On top of the great food, the staff was kind, friendly, and very attentive, which made the busy atmosphere feel relaxed and welcoming. If you're looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot, I'd definitely recommend checking out Early Bird!

The Lomo Solatdo with its jut beef, avocado and fries. The turkey sandwich came with Gus's cheese and it's delicious. Our sever Cassidy is so kind and patient. She recommended the Mexican Coffee and it'd delicious. It reminds me of summer in Mexico with my grandma. The ambience is energetic and a great for a big group or two people. Just make sure to make a recommendation on line. read more

Im not sure what term they use to describe their cuisine but I would classify it as gourmet comfort home cooking. All of it is 100% delicious. If you want to try an amazing breakfast that will absolutely have you wondering what creative chef put this menu together and leave completely satisfied, this is the place! read more

I have noticed the line outside of this place when going to the grocery store and I have been curious of trying it. We are not morning people so we don't eat breakfast often but happened to be up early and decided to give it a try on a week day. There is limited parking right in front, but there is enough parking with a little more of a walk. This location is very popular and family friendly. It is a casual ambiance and it feels welcoming. The staff was friendly when we walked in. Thankfully there was no wait and got seated right away towards the back close to the restrooms. We took a bit of time deciding what to get since everything looked good. I ended up opting for the chilaquiles and my bf for the Benedict sampler. My chilaquiles were good, one of my poached eggs was perfect and the other just a little overdone but not a big deal. O don't think the chips are made at the restaurant, they gave me the impression of being store bought which is fine. I would've liked to have been asked the temperature for the steak as I like it medium rare vs medium well. The presentation for the Benny sampler was on point. The pork belly Benedict looked the best so my bf saved it for last. Sadly it was not as good as it looked. The pork was on the tougher side. The traditional Benedict was ok, the ham was also tough as if it was cooked before and cooked again for serving. The best one was the ranch Benedict. If we were to redo the order, that would be the one! The pulled pork had good flavour and everything just went well together. Although they were extremely busy, it did take a while for the check. The waitress brought the POS that only showed the total, tax and tip %. It felt weird to me to pay with without visibility to the breakdown but felt pressured to just complete the transaction. I opted for the text receipt as I wanted to check the breakdown since it wasn't given upfront. When I did that, I noticed the egg surcharge on there that I did not see anywhere in the menu. On our small table, the sign with the surcharge was against the wall and not visible. Although they had it on the sign, it is required in California to be stated on the menus. We talked to the hostess and she dismissed it as "oh I don't know, that's just how it is". My bf was a bit upset because of the sketchiness of the whole paying experience and hidden fee not shown on the menu. The manager came over and he was more understanding. It is baffling that they were not aware of this change that had been in effect for about 2-3 weeks at that point. I would think that being in the restaurant business you would be on top of regulations that impact you. They did end up refunding the fee. Overall we felt like it was a bit overpriced for the whole experience and food quality. Within that price range there are other places that we feel that have better food. Came here on a friend's recommendation, and it was such a charming spot! The atmosphere is cozy and the home-style food is delicious. The highlight was definitely the coffee with the cinnamon stick--at first glance, it looks like there's a cigar in the cup! It was a fun and unique experience. While the coffee taste wasn't necessarily mind-blowing, the friendly service and overall vibe made it a great visit. read more

This place has been one of my top favorite brunch spots to come to. I've been coming here for a good 8 years now, I just now noticed I never put a review for it! Crazy that I haven't post before. I want to start off by saying the food always has good flavor. The carnitas chilaquiles are my favorite, this time I couldn't choose between that one or the chef Vic green chilaquiles so my server asked if I could get half and half and so I did thanks! It was amazing! I told my server we liked the brioche and the churro waffle but were undecided on which to get, she informed me they were able to do the brioche French toast churro style and omg! It did not disappoint! The fluffyness of the bread and the sweet churro sauce made the perfect combo. ( we ended up getting two!) As for the ambiance, the place is bright has background music that can be pretty enjoyable not too loud, just enough to hear but you're able to hear everyone else as well. The place keeps pretty clean and the art on the walls is nice. This place will keep being on my books, and definitely returning once again read more
Came here on a Sunday morning around 11am and it was packed. My group of two was 11 in the waitlist and we had to wait almost an hour outside. The waitlist can be joined on Yelp so I suggest joining before even parking at the restaurant. We were sat in the very back right next to the bathrooms which was very unfortunate. It took a while to take our orders and give us food. The food was really good, the churro waffle was delicious and the chilaquiles were very filling. Our server didn't come around much and we had to wait a long time to flag the server for our bill which we had to pay at the host stand. I don't think the hour wait was worth sitting in a hard chair next to the bathrooms with poor service even though the food was good. read more

As a first timer and very excited to try this place i was so disappointed. The server was so rude i would ask questions and she would respond with 'no we dont' not trying to advise on substations. Also, our table was full of ants we asked to be moved and the server said "well we dont have any other table available" OMG I LITERALLY FEEL LIKE WALKING OUT! FIRST AND LAST TIME FORSURE! read more

I went with a few of my girlfriends and normally when we go to places they rush us out. Because there is a time limit. But they served us took good care of us and didn't push us out. This place was great. They have a lot of classic breakfast foods and some unique entrees. I got the duck confit. It was pretty good with the raisins balancing out the bitterness of the arugula. The croutons were a bit too oily though since they had soaked up all the fat from the duck. Their kids menu is great as well since they let the kids put together a plate of their choice. Our waitress Cassidy was excellent. Super attentive and made sure our coffees were always filled and we had everything we needed. The inside was a bit cold and pretty loud. You had to speak louder to hear each other over the music but it wasn't super inconvenient. read more

Bad customer service over the phone! Julissa Casillas has no manners and lack of respect to the client. After placing my order, she asked me for a name, of course I gave her my name. I have no problem with that. Then I ask her for her name just for reference on my end and she didn't wanna give her name. After asking her twice and telling her why I wanted a name or order number, she mentioned "I have to go we don't do that here" Normally when you place an order over the phone, you get a reference number or a name so there's a reference and order goes to the right person. When I'd picked up my order I'd tried to explain her why I needed a name or reference number and she seemed careless about my opinion and she kept ignoring me. It's sad that nowadays there's a huge lack of customer service and attention to the client. She definitely needs to find another job that better suits her. Came here for a girls day brunch. Saw on Yelp that they offer Yelp waitlist so I hopped on as soon as I got in the car in the drive over! Kind of got there a few minutes after my table was ready but the turnover was pretty quick so we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Honestly not a big selection of coffee to choose from. It's regular coffee, Mexican coffee (kind of like cafe de olla with a cinnamon stick but no sugar), and iced coffee. We got the brioche French toast and the Eastwood omelette. Both were good, but my friend thought the French toast was too hard at the edges. They put peanuts on top of the French toast - fyi for those allergic to peanuts. I like that they offer Infiniti hot sauce on the table along with Tabasco. Service was friendly and attentive. They are very dog friendly, I saw the hostess bring out a take out container and fill it with water for one of the dogs outside. So kind! read more

Good food, great service, and quick seating for a Sunday. First time here and ordered coffee and egg white omelette with fruit/toast. Their Mexican coffee is delicious and would highly recommend! Surprise $2.00 egg charge not shown on the menu or at our table. Owner knows it's sneaky. Kitchen is good. Tasty hash browns/potatoes. Value is questionable, prices are at LA levels without similar experience/ambiance. Service was weird. Host dude at the front waved us to the back and told us to seat ourselves. Our first server came to give us water and just didn't come back, while serving other tables the whole time. Had to wave down another server (runner?) to take our order. A third server helped us out with the check despite being busy with her own tables, she seemed more organized read more
Not our first time but the food is always delicious. Love the "Mexican coffee" (cafe de olla), love how they give it to you with a stick of cinnamon. Chilaquiles verdes are so delicious. The sauce is has a great flavor/taste. Everything was delicious. The service was great, fast and efficient. We came after 12 pm it was less busy than coming in the morning. Coworker recommended this place to me. He told me it was some of the best eggs Benedict he's had. Checked this place out on fourth of July and was surprised that the wait wasn't bad. All of the tables were occupied and they found us a table towards the back. I ordered the Benny Sampler. My favorite was rancho benedict, followed by the pork belly benedict. The traditional eggs benedict fell short in comparison to the others. Definitely would go again. read more

Mrs. and I had breakfast at this restaurant a while ago. Decent seating, abundant parking, adequately staffed for a weekday, variety of menu, etc. are few of the selling points for this popular restaurant. I had Chilaquiles for the first time. I loved the hot flavors they offered. Ribeye with the dish was A-OK. Mrs.'s omelette was OK as well. Nothing to brag about. Mrs. opined that the price point was a tad bit high for the portion offered. So, we might not return. read more

Been coming here for years now, but seems like the weekend crowd died down lately? Better for us, though! They also have Yelp Waitlist, which is a PLUS if you have kiddos. My go-to - Grand Moff Tarkin's Breakfast Sandwich. Flavorful and delicious. Got scrambled eggs instead of the over easy and was nice and fluffy! Eastwood Omelet - Great. Kids meal - Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs. He loved the pancakes! We'll be back! read more
Their eggs are perfectly runny so I would recommend trying their benedicts. The hashbrown has onions and cheese which was yummy as well. The breakfast burrito was good but nothing special. Their green sauce was delicious. Service was slow as it took us 20 min to place an order when there were only 4 other tables. read more

We had a wonderful brunch here. The ambiance here feels so cozy and warm. I ordered and omelet with potatoes and bacon. Everything was super flavorful and delicious. They even had their logo on all the mugs which I thought was cute. Cool place! read more

Do you guys take reservations?
Sorry we dont but you can always use Yelp to add your name to the waitlist and then that way you can wait at home until your table is almost next. If you add your name on yelp, you’ll be able to see at all times how many parties are ahead of you
Is there bottomless Mimosa's? If so, how much and what days/hours?
I didn't see that on the menu, but they do have a mimosa flight of 3 different flavors.

Yes on their website but the last 6 times I've gone here, they say their online ordering system isn't working (even though it will let you place an order). So I would advise against it and call to place an order instead.
Why would nobody be answering the phone when it's already your business hours? I called 10x from 7:33 thru 7:48, and it just goes to vm!
Probably because they are busy serving customers that are already there... and they don't have a secretary or receptionist.... ??
Are they open? I see reviews from a few weeks ago but when I call in for order pick up no one ever answers the phone? I've tried checking elsewhere to see if there is any information about their operating hours due to COVID-19.
Yes we are 7:30-2pm and Saturday and Sunday until 2:30pm. We are open for “to-go” orders only and we are also partnered with UberEats as well. Sorry for the late reply.
Are there non-dairy options?
Yes. As far as almond milk and soy milk. I want to say I remember there being food options but I didn't specifically order any food with that option we just asked for the butter on the side.

No, they closed their waitlist

No we don’t, but we have a mimosa flight that comes w 3 different flavored mimosas!
Do they take reservations on the weekends?
I have never tried, but on the weekends I will put my name on a waitlist through yelp it is so helpful! It tells you how many people are in front of you and if you live close you can check in from home and get there and be seated very quickly
