I suggest you not use this company for bird control/removal. I've been checking around for quotes on bird control service - including removal of existing nests and birds in the attic. Eagle Pest Eliminators, from what I can tell, does not really do any sort of remediation for this type of pest. First of all, they do not remove existing birds or nests, nor do they do any sort of cleanup. They offer to spray Pyrethrum through the attic vents. Pyrethrum is essentially an insecticide, but it also has a negative effect on birds' circulatory system. Harming the birds isn't the answer (despite a strong desire to do so, mind), and claiming that getting nests out of the attic is "difficult" is a bit concerning. You can't control a bird infestation without dealing with the nest that caused the infestation; therefore, don't claim you do bird control. Second, their quote for this "service" was the same as another company that offered the full monty: vent covers, nest removal, humane bird removal, cleanup, etc. Led me to question exactly what they were charging for since clearly, they're not really doing much work yet charging a mint for essentially stapling some mesh over some holes. I could do that part myself for $50. Birdbusters was awesome, and got the work done without complaining about the attic or having to harm birds. Avoid Eagle Pest. read more

We called Eagle Pest for a Yellow Jacket Problem at our apartments in the Greenlake Area. They came out at the scheduled time and took care of both hives fast and efficiently! The technician was very friendly and answered my questions- Cost was what we expected to pay for two hives, one which he was able to destroy and remove the other was in the wall of a storage unit. These folks know critters - in fact, they get together on the weekend just to tell stories and learn more about them. Matt is one of those guys and was fantastic in helping us chase down a rat that breached an interior wall. Matt was patient and methodical: he found the entrance point, sealed it, trapped for the rat, and got it. But Matt's extra value was when he spotted a bug he hadn't seen before. He took a picture, sent it to his boss, and followed up the next day. Turns out it was a damp wood termite that had gotten into some boards in our crawlspace. Without his curiosity, we could have had an infestation. This is the reason you want people who geek out on critters - and it's why you want this company because they clearly hire people who fit that profile and support them in that work. read more

I called Eagle after very slow response from a couple of other large national exterminators regarding getting someone in to deal with a recurrent bed bug problem. Eagle arranged to get someone out the next day. After calling several pest companies I decided to have them come out to give me a quote. I had carpet beetles in the hall way and they sprayed the basebaords. They also fogged the attic and crawl space too which was a good idea because they can live in attics etc... The technician Todd was friendly and identified the problem quickly. There price was very fair around $100. Other companies I called gave me prices of $300 to do the whole house (even tho the whole house wasnt needed). We discovered that we had a rat problem so contacted Eagle. Derek was assigned and explained their 30 day program which we signed up for. Several rats were caught in the traps in our crawl space and the bait stations outside showed quite a bit of activity. By the last visit, we think our problem is solved. Derek patched a hole in our crawl space where we believe they were getting in. No more sightings or sounds from them. I am so impressed with Eagle . . . I am a customer for life . . . and they didn't perform any services for me . . . instead they were just honest in saying that I didn't need them. Discovered a swarm of ants. Spencer from Eagle said they were moisture ants and that when the rotted wood siding on the house is removed, the ants will go away. No need to spend $150+, no need to spray pesticide, just remove the wet wood and they'll go away. How many companies would tell a customer that their service isn't needed?! He explained everything to the homeowners, showed them where he thought the ants might be coming in, and how to help. The homeowners I was working with also told me he has followed up with them twice after the appointment to see if they were having any continued issues. Property manager hired them to take care of a bird issue in our vents. Guy showed up, showed them where the bird was (In the vent over the oven) and he says "We don't do that. You have to hire a handyman to take the vent off and get the bird." We then saw how another of the birds was trapped in the attic. His reply to that was "The heat will kill it. It is small so it shouldn't rot to much and smell very much." What the heck?!? That was it. That was ALL the work the guy did...which was NOTHING. read more

I hired this company in August 2018, to remove a squirrel in the roof void space at my rental house. The first company I hired took my money and never provided services. Todd O. was the tech. who met with me and proposed a one-week program to trap (Hav-a-Hart) the squirrel. Unfortunately, during his 2nd visit to the rental to retrieve a squirrel in the trap, he discovered the trap had been opened and the squirrel was gone. We figured out that my renter's 17 year old thought it would be "amusing" to open the trap. My sister and I received Todd's call. He was angry, almost hysterical, and threatened to "quit the job." We had to beg him to come back and reset the trap. After almost 2 hours of trying to convince him, he did come back. When he got there, he was angry all over again. I handed him $50 cash for his extra gasoline usage, to appease him. I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to calm him. His time was, apparently, more important than mine. He had a "chat" with my renter's son, and the son told his mother that Todd "harassed" him. I subsequently, had to go to court with my renter, and I wanted to be able to prove nobody harassed the son, and I asked for a short statement, from Todd, explaining the $50 I gave him, over and above the money I paid for their services. His hysteria was unprofessional and childish. For 4 months, he promised me he'd provide a statement for me to take to court. I was to call him back after Christmas to remind him. I called him 4 more times, and my sister called him also. He would not return our calls. My sister finally "cornered" him on the phone. He refused to write the statement I had been waiting for, and he was rude to both of us. I called the office mgr., "Lisa"? She was less than empathetic. I explained they should "work with" the customer. She disagreed. I asked her to have the "boss" call me, after he returned from an out of town trip. He never did. While they are competent in squirrel removal, they are not nice to their customers. With so many choices in companies, why would anyone want to be treated like this. It's all about money to them, not customer happiness. I would never recommend them or use them again. I forgot to add . . . Todd was too busy to come back and take the squirrel with him, for release. My sister and I took the squirrel ourselves, and released it several miles from home, in a park. They should have paid us to do their job. read more

I'd give them ten stars if it was an option! Eagle Pest Eliminators was recommended to me by several people on my NextDoor forum, and I'm so glad we hired them. We had been dealing with a clicking/tapping noise happening intermittently at all hours coming from our bedroom wall, and could not figure out what it was on our own. Luckily Nathan from Eagle was able to come out and help us find the culprit, which turned out to be a yellow jacket nest that had set up shop inside the wall and was trying to eat their way through the drywall- yikes! Nothing like squirrels nesting in the rafters, 2+ stories in the air. Eagle has been incredibly responsive. (And came recommended by both a friend and another pest company that was uncomfortable with the height involved.) My technician was super professional and consulted with me on every aspect of the project. He was also good enough to come back, free of charge, to help fine-tune the solution when it turns out we'd accidentally trapped a squirrel inside. (One thing that would be incredibly helpful, looking forward -- some sort of camera/scope to know exactly what's inside a space that's otherwise inaccessible before sealing it up.) read more

We have them came to our house to solve some issues with spiders in Early September 2010. After the job was done, we still see some spiders. Since we have their service done through Homeowners Club of Seattle, we called the Club shortly after, about this problem so Eagle can address this. Eagle never contacted us so I called Homeowners Club a few more times, this lingers until late October and finally we heard back from Eagle. You know what, they said follow up visit is only valid within 30 days of 1st visit. They should have responded earlier, as soon as I called them in early September. But they didn't, so we're left holding the bag for their fault and here we are expected to pay them again!!! They definitely can use better customer service. Use someone else. read more

He gave some more advice and even lent us some traps just to try because we had already hired a company with no results after so long. This Company was hired by our property manager at our townhouses to address wasps, moles, and rats. The wasps were killed off after multiple visits. They could not find the nest after several visits. A painter found the nest while painting the trim. They showed up on a cloudy day even though the wasps aren't active unless its sunny and hot. The moles were never eradicated. The rat problem eventually ceased as well as carpenter ants but the issue is they come back multiple times and charge $100+ for each visit. read more

The person they assigned did not show up on the right hour or even on the right day. I saw him multiple times flirting with a neighbor of mine, which is why I believe he rushed everything while he was working. After he said that there were no more rodents in my attic, the sprinklers went off and the fire department arrived. One of their public servants said that this was due to rodents bitting on the sprinkler and its cords. The roof is a mess now and the cost of repair is unimaginable. All of this is due to this company and their employee who cannot complete the necessary tasks. Terrible service. read more

I used this company Eagle Pest Eliminators in 2006 for a TERRIBLE infestation of hornets in my attic. They came out, did their thing and the wasps have NEVER -- returned to my attic. Now this week the hornets were back. This time in my crawl space. Eagle came out, did their thing and now the hornets are all gone. So this tells me they continue to be very good at hornet removal. However, I had an interesting "Near Miss." Before they came out, I spoke to their office manager about my "plan" to seal them in under my house by going out in the middle of the night when they were asleep and nailing shut their entry door. She said that would a MOST TERRIBLE IDEA. She said the hornets would begin to get very hungry, then turn wild and would probably find a way into the house through the drywall. Then the would be in the house where there was still no food -- and sting everyone. She also said that hornets, unlike bees and wasps, can sting you multiple multiple times. So I dropped that plan and just asked them to come out. I thought the cost was reasonable. The man was here a little over an hour and used up various cans of hornet killer spray. These guys will always be my go-to-guys for hornet removal. . read more

I received a phone quote for $165 to remove a yellowjacket nest under my house. When the young man came out he was not prepared to go under the house. He gave me two more prices - he said I should have been quoted $185 but that I was actually quoted $135 and that was for sprinkling powder through the vent - not going under the house. But he called the owner and the owner said he had to go under the house. But he couldn't do it that day, he had to come back with a second person to go under the house. the 4th price he now quoted me was $265. I had taken 1/2 day vacation to be there and nothing got done that day. They were supposed to call me back to make a second appointment which they never did. [I wasn't at all sure I would make a 2nd appt.] I sprinkled diatamaceous earth around the vent myself. On Friday when I got home I realized someone had come through my latched back gate and had sprinkled some more powder on the crawl space vent. I saw a few more wasps in my house so am not sure if the problem will come back in the spring. I later received a bill for $165 with never a call of explanation. read more

Beware of their price quotes! Over the phone they quoted $125 to $285 to eliminate bees entering through the roof soffit. Second treatment would be free if needed. Had them come to the house to apply pesticide. It worked well, but bill was $185 +tax. I questioned them why cost wasn't $125 of the quoted range. Answer: costs go up if technician has to go up and stairs (six steps) and if ladder was needed. Felt like they withheld pricing info. Later called for 2nd free treatment. Response was defensive and sharp. Their response was that they would have to charge another $185+tax because there might be another nest. Clearly they were reluctant to honor their claim of free second treatment. read more
