Used to be decent but not anymore. It's an expensive service so I expect more than a 3 minute stop by a service technician every other month. Additionally, getting a hold of anyone on the phone is impossible these days. No one calls you back when you request it. Instead 2 days later you get an email claiming they couldn't get ahold of you or leave a message (cell shows no missed calls, voicemail is not full). I'm so disappointed I ever paid this company. Total rip off and want to make sure my neighbors don't get taken advantage of either. Best of luck to you with your pest problems! But this place is no solution. read more

Was a Customer for over 13 years - I made error in recent May 2025 payment of 10 cents short - yes 10 cents. They sent my account to a collections agency. No notification until I received email from agency. I reported business to BBB for poor business practices & also filed complaint against collections agency with State of WA and Federal Agency based on required notification steps. No apology from United Pest - I even referred them to next door neighbor and will encourage them to cancel service. Avoid this business. read more

The technicians that came out were very nice and did a pretty good job of spraying for bed bugs and setting out rat traps,but they did not kill or catch any rats. I killed several myself. The bed bugs are still here after months with only 2 treatments they gave us. Their head honchos came to the house and declared there are no bed bugs after they placed six ridiculous paper glue traps which weren't even where they were likely to travel. Yet I still am getting bites. They tried to convince me I was getting bitten by something else (which their treatment should have killed) or that I was imagining it. Disappointing. I paid for both inspection (very skimpy, did not inspect the entire house) and Exclusion - rodents in basement. I couldn't be more disappointed. A week after the exclusion work was done, I spotted new droppings in the focus area, and installed a security camera. It didn't take long before it spotted a big fat rat entering the space unhindered, making its way into the house - exactly in the area where the "exclusion" was supposed to take place. I don't know what they did, or didn't do, but a thousand bucks later, no rat feels excluded in this house... They are probably in the process of creating a nest somewhere. We are also bound to a "service schedule" which, based on the exclusion work, is as useless as it sounds. I don't know what their "warranty" stands for, but so far, I am very disappointed. read more

Contacted them to assist with uninvited ant guests in the kitchen. Pros: - quick service- they came the next day and injected dust bait, gel repellant and spray. Also dusted/ sprayed exterior of the house, doors/windows and checked the crawl space. - Informative. I'm the type who wants to know all the things- he explained the step by step process when I asked and was friendly. - haven't seen ant activity since Cons: - I'm a repeat customer. He asked if they gave me a coupon code when I called. Nope, but I'll take it! No such luck. - while he was very nice, I felt like he wasn't proactive in assessing my need and offering to check all the places. Example: I asked if he was going to check the crawl space to find the source, he said he could. And he did. But I felt like that wouldn't have happened if I didn't ask. Same thing happened while spraying the exterior doors/windows. - expensive- I paid into the service plan, which I never do, $270 for the first visit, then $50 /month for an exterior check/spray that occurs every other month. If you don't pay into the plan, it's $370 for a one time visit. Seems pricy but I figure I can cancel anytime. (Btw- this is the price for insects only. The rodent plan is another $100.) - he said he or someone else will come back in 2 months to spray. (IMO it will be winter by then so likely everything will have died. ) Not sure I will need them but oh well. I'm satisfied but not wow'd, hence the 3 stars. We'll see how beneficial this plan is. I can't believe how fast the response time was from this company. During a party on Saturday, a guest commented about a wasp nest in a rotted tree trunk near my patio. YIKES! I called United on Monday late morning, and within a couple of hours there was a technician at my home. I showed him the location of the yellow jackets and he got to work ... suited up to protect himself, and he delivered a powder-based chemical to the tree trunk. He told me that the yellow jackets would be quite angry for a while, but that within 24 hours they should be eliminated, and he was right. Late on Tuesday I lobbed a rock into the tree trunk and nary a bug came out. Reasonably priced and effective extermination ... I'm quite a happy customer! read more

I have been dealing with Ernest for at least a year, now, and he's been efficient, thorough, and patient. He understands and takes into account the complexities of home maintenance and works to integrate pest control solutions into the overall program. He made it clear that rodents are a fact of life outside the home and clearly explains the strategy of establishing a barrier at the home perimeter. He follows each visit with a detailed report. United Pest came out twice to do an inspection - once to check if there were rats, the second time after I knew there was a rodent (likely a rat) living in the walls of my house. The second time around, the technician said he couldn't find any entry/exit points. He told me I didn't have a rat problem and that any noise I heard were my downspouts. Not finding the entry/exit points is one thing, gaslighting me is another. Post-inspection, when I sent a picture of food that had been eaten by the rat, United Pest refused to come out again and cancelled any subsequent service. Disappointing at best. read more

Ron in particular went ten rounds against a rat king for us and won, and also took the time to answer pest related questions I had about getting a new roof. United Pest was prompt about our initial visit but after that the service went downhill. I was charged every month for a half a service call but was only scheduled for a visit every other month. Every time a service visit came up, I had to call them and ask them when they were coming. Three times they said they would be here and they did not show up or call although I was continuing to be charged every month. When I canceled my service, I was still charged for the month after that. The only thing consistent about this company was the monthly billing. They never missed one of those. read more

Not only do they keep the sugar ants out of my house but they have the best customer service. If you still see pests after they spray they will come back out in a matter of days to take care of it. I recently called when I started seeing ants again to check when I was scheduled for service and when they heard I was seeing ants they moved my appointment up a week. I could have easily waited and offered to, but that's the kind of caring company they are. I don't have any issues with their service but it is the change of season and thats just how nature works. I called United Pest Solutions the moment that I saw spiders re-appearing in my back yard. We live near green lake and apparently that just causes spiders to manifest everywhere! I'm not dealing with that for another summer!!!!! The price for the service was very reasonable - and they even gave me a discount since I mentioned that I found them on yelp! The service tech arrived exactly when he said he would, he looked for rodents in the attic and crawl space, sprayed all the outside of the house, and installed some rodent poison feeders. We initially call the friendly folks at United Pest Solutions because my wife is terrified of spiders. I don't like them either, but I have to put on my brave face for my wife and my daughters. United Pest Solutions came out, evaluated both the exterior AND interior and educated us on steps we could take to prevent spiders getting inside in the future (like installing some missing mouldings and caulking some windows). They also found a carpenter ant problem under the house and included that in our spider treatment for a great deal. We called them back today after finding not one but TWO hideous gigantic wolf spiders inside yesterday. They offered to extend our original treatment as though we had signed up for the year-long service contract saving us hundreds of buck. Totally impressed. We had a huge carpenter ant problem and we were unsuccessful in trying to deal with it by ourselves. The technician came and inspected/treated. He was very friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. We signed up for the all seasons plan that included a 1 month follow up and every 2 months after that. We were told that there is a temporary increase in activity after the first treatment, but after 2 weeks, I couldn't put up with for another 2 more weeks (until the 1 month follow up). They came and treated an extra time at no additional cost. We just had the follow up. So far, so good - seems to have taken care of the problem. I've been a customer for over 5 years at multiple homes and last week was essentially "fired" by the customer service manager because "policy change" prevented me from receiving the rodent prevention (bait station) services I had been receiving at my previous residence, and requested at my new residence. They wanted to do $750 worth of "exclusion work" on my crawl space which included "securing" with my flood vents before allowing me to continue with the services. I explained to this individual that I was not about to compromise the flood engineering of my (new) home so that I could keep their bait stations and service, and couldn't understand why simply leaving the bait stations and continuing the bi-monthly service required any work from them at all... suffice it to say, we could not agree and thus I am now my own pest control service. As I mentioned to her on the phone, it appalls me to think that any small, local company is not willing to work with a long time customer to address their needs. I asked for the owner's name and email address as part of my cancellation so that I might pass along the feedback, but to date - haven't received that info. To be fair, I had many years of good service with no complaints... and many of the techs were good to work with. Something changed recently, and it seems service has declined as prices increased. Considering the available competition out there, I don't expect to be without services for too long. read more

DO NOT use this company. At least not for rodent services. We had United Pest Solutions come out to look at a mouse problem we've had. They came out were here for about 1 hour or so and did a full inspection, and laid down 4 mousetraps. Then they handed me a bill for $355 for the service. I asked if they fixed the areas where the mice were getting in (a broken vent to our crawl space) and he said, no, that's an extra cost. He then handed me an estimate for $475 to fix a vent and lay down some river rock. $475!! So a total fee of $830. I called them the next day to explain why their $355 cost didn't include anything more than a 1 hour inspection. They explained it also included a checkup 2 weeks later, where they would check 4 mousetraps they laid, but all "construction work" was extra. I argued that a check up on mousetraps 2 weeks later is completely meaningless if they didn't fix where the mice were getting in. I already knew we had a mouse problem! They said they clearly explained the program over the phone before coming out and there is nothing they can do. I immediately called a few other companies in the area and asked them what their service included. EVERY SINGLE one of them said they don't charge for inspections and only charge for fixing the problems. I had a different company come out. For $325, they did a full inspection, cleaned out a few things in our crawl space, fixed the vent and another access point and even laid bait traps around our house to prevent mice from coming in. No extra charges. $325 total. United Pest Solutions wanted $830 for less work since that didn't include bait traps. I talked to the owner today, who did discount the $355 service fee since I wasn't having them come out a 2nd time, but repeatedly told me that they clearly explained their service over the phone and it is what it is. On their web site, as part of their service it says, "This normally means incorporating environmental controls such as excluding access to harborage and food sources which make it less desirable for pests to inhabit your home." Apparently Not. Unless you want to pay an extra $500. Very disappointed. Do not use them for any rodent issues. read more
