We had a total plumbing nightmare. I was about to go into labor with our third son at any moment when a sewage pipe burst in our garage at 8pm, leaving stinky, dirty toilet water all over our garage floor. Our handyman was able to patch the leak for the evening and then referred us to Edy from E-drains. Edy was at our house by 730 am the next morning. Edy worked hard to diagnose the issue and found that all of our sewage drains were clogged and would need to be replaced. Our water and toilets were all turned off at this point and it was going to be a big job. Edy said he could come back out in 1 day to do the job. I was panicked as I had a feeling our baby would arrive soon and I didn't want to leave my mother at home with our 3 and 5 yo, with no running water or toilets if I did go into labor. I told him our situation and Edy worked hard with his crew to re-arrange things was able to ge the job started right away. His crew worked tirelessly from sun up til sun down. They were able to get our water and sewage pipes replaces and back on in full functioning order by the evening as promised. Our third son was born later that night, so we were so grateful to him for getting things done so quickly. Also noted, this occurred over a holiday weekend and Edy offered competitive pricing and did not raise prices or charge extra despite the circumstances Edy was so kind and just an all around good guy you would want to work with. My husband gave this company an updated shining 5 start review. Unfortunately, it is not worth those 5 stars. Besides the price being completely outrageous, the plumber cut 2 holes in my garage, one in my laundry room and a huge hole in my cabinet. After my husband stated in his review that he was disappointed in the holes left, the plumber called my husband and said the company wanted him to fix the holes. He scheduled for Friday 12/16 at 8am, and he didn't show up until 1030am after my husband had to call him. First of all, his attempt to repair the holes is laughable at best. He put the drywall back in place, fine. However, he sprayed wall texture over it and left it. He only partially repaired 2 holes and dropped one drywall piece behind the wall. The cabinet hole is not fixable at all, and I will have to replace the entire cabinet. He said he didn't have the supplies to fix the other hole where he dropped the drywall, but he said he would come back Saturday or Monday. Well, here we are on Thursday 12/22 with one hole still open and zero communication. At this point, we don't even want him to come back because of the crappy job he did on the two other holes. I have resigned to fixing them myself. I'm not a contractor, but have patched drywall holes on my own throughout my life and if I had known that he was going to half ass the job, I would have just repaired them on my own instead of having to fix someone else's crappy work. He also made a gigantic mess in my garage, laundry room and kitchen and didn't clean up after himself. I have never had someone come and repair something in my house, make a mess, and not clean up after themselves. Completely unprofessional. 1 out of 10 do not recommend. I agree with Mary E. Dated 11/20/2024 100%. I called a company named Baird plumbing . They were posing as this company and when they arrived they introduced themselves as Baird Plumbing only to find out when they asked for payment It was not Baird Plumbing at all it was E-Drains. They were called to just snake a clogged drain, which the drain outlet was on the same wall as cleanout drain, about six inches below clogged drain. They did not even make any kind of effort to try and unclog the drain. They just started to tell me that they needed to pull up my hardwood floors and jack hammer my foundation. When they told me that the work for that day was $125.00 I was shocked because in the past it only cost $40.00. That is when I found out that they were E-Drains who specializing in ripping apart your house for a simple fix. I had the Baird plumbing that I thought I was calling and they came out the next day, snaked my drain for $40.00 and I have not had a problem since 10/3/2024. I strongly encourage other to NOT use this company. I will also file a complaint to the BBB and CA state Contractors Board. read more

Had a pipe clogged in our guest bathroom right before the holiday a couple weeks ago and we had family coming into town the next day. After having sewage drains replaced, we did not want to go through the trouble of having pipe issues ever again. Our plumbing pipes were likely over 40-50 years old and we asked E-drains to evaluate . Ahmad came over and did a thorough consultation. He used a camera to show us what we were working with. Our pipes were a ticking time bomb, rusted, with corroded joints and could likely spring a leak at any time. Ahmad was able to start with the prep work to get the job done right away. He estimated it would be a 2 day job. He showed up bright and early, and worked all day long under the very small crawlspace of our house. I needed two turn valves replaced and my garbage disposal replaced as well. I looked for quotes on yelp and most plumbing places charge you a 50$ service fee to come out and give an estimate. I had the parts already bought and just needed the labor done . This is the only company that gave me actual estimate in dollars through yelp. Most others were 350$ or so plus service fee. They did all the work in 40 minutes and it ran me 225$ . Quick and easy and I would use them again. Our shower drain was clogged/slow for a few weeks, used draino several times and only would get half a good shower in before it started flooding again. Got in touch with E Drains and right away with a description of the problem they were able to give me a high and low estimate, also responded very quickly. The plumber was out here in the time frame they gave me. He did his job efficiently and professionally, informed me draino isn't the best solution (maybe I trust commercials too much) which I appreciated. After he finished he gave me the lower end of the estimate and let us know if there's anymore problems he'll be back out. Trust the other reviews here. I don't often write scorched earth reviews, but these scammers warrant it. Like others here have noted, I thought I was call George Baird Drain Service, not realizing that these folks had "coincidentally" named themselves the exact same thing. Website says drains unclogged starting at $77 which is totally fair. When the technician got to the house, I was at work and juggling multiple things or I would have realized the con earlier. Five minutes after getting there he calls me to say there's a problem that will require more time and the charge is $185. This is more than I've ever paid for a drain unclog, but I'm slammed at work and need the problem to go away. "Fine" I say. He says I need to pay the invoice before he can begin...which is super weird, but again, I'm preoccupied...literally in a Zoom meeting while this is happening. So I pay the invoice. Ten minutes later he calls back and says they need to hydrowash the drain for $585. Five. Hundred. Eighty. Five. Dollars. I thought I misheard...remember, drain unclogs are usually less than $100. I told the guy he was crazy. He said it was because of this special thing. I told him he was a scammer and shouldn't have pushed his luck with this ridiculous charge. He said he'd call me the next morning and would see about a refund...anyone want to guess whether he actually called the next day? So I hired a different plumber I've used before...still more expensive than George Baird Drain Service, but it was $140 AND he replaced a section of pipe that he said had a lot of calcium buildup (which it did...I've taken those pipes apart in the past). So...if you want a bait-and-switch and to be charged a wildly exorbitant rate to unclog a drain...call these scammers. Otherwise...go elsewhere. read more

Although we knew it was coming when we bought the house, it still wasn't great news to find out that we had to get our entire cast iron main line replaced.
