We had Global install our AC and Heating system 8 years ago. Last week the AC stopped working. I asked another company to come out and check it out and they told me that my primary drain pan needed to be replaced and it was going to cost $1,900, but they recommended replacing the whole coil and pan which roughly came out to $5,300. We almost paid for the service but we decided to have Global check it out first, since they are the original installers. Salam from Global came and told us the drain was just clogged. He fixed the issue in less than half an hour, and even reminded us that we had 2 years to go on our 10 year warranty! Global is honest and their prices are fair. Excellent first time experience with this company! It was very easy to get an appointment, and the company responded super quick over Yelp. They were able to come out to check our AC unit within a day, which is impressive given its summer high season. The tech arrived earlier than the quoted timeframe which was a nice surprise! I called wanting to replace both AC units... previous estimates were around $25,000 They let me know that the downstairs AC unit did not need to be replaced just serviced....then they showed the comparisons for an AC unit vs a AC/Heat pump unit..... the heat pump unit was $2,500 more but qualified me for a $2,000 federal tax credit. For me the elimination of the gas heat was a win win because I have solar. I now have a dramatically more efficient AC unit I will no longer have to pay the high SDGE gas bill! They installed the unit in one day....they were conscientious and knowledgeable. Also I was having an issue with the thermostat the next day and they can out the next day and replaced it. Five Stars for Global Heating and Air We've had fantastic experiences with this company- they are prompt, professional and fairly priced. Last summer out AC went out during a major heat wave. Another large company sent out a tech who gave us a long list of expensive replacements we would need and said it would be 2 weeks before they could even service our unit. We turned to Yelp and were lucky to find Global. They were able to come out 2 days later. Among other things, the original tech had told us our unit needed new refrigerant which would cost us hundreds of dollars. Salam tested our AC and told us the refrigerant level was fine and typically would not need to be refilled unless there was a leak. He quickly diagnosed the issue as a simple fix and resolved it on the spot- for a fraction of the other quote. Just this week our thermostat failed. We called Global and they set an appointment. Once again Salam came out. He is an excellent technician- friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He takes time to explain everything clearly and answer any questions. Gabe and Sal did an amazing job completely redoing our entire HVAC setup. They moved the whole system to the attic, and got rid of an old furnace unit existing in the hallway utility closet. They removed and replaced all the old ducting, added new vents, and even coordinated a third party asbestos removal company to help us with some remediation issues. They also installed a whole house fan with HEPA and a dehumidifier. The team was professional and hard working. What is worse than your AC giving up in the middle of Summer? Well, probably a lot of things, but the AC going out was a definite first world problem for me. I hate being hot. I needed help ASAP when the cool air stopped saving me from the hell that is July. I called Global Heating and Air Conditioning and although they couldn`t get me a same day appointment, they set me up for the following day within a two hour morning window. Adam gave me a call about 45 minutes before he arrived to let me know that he was going to be on his way. He called me again when he arrived and I met him out in the parking lot of the complex. He greeted me with a handshake and a smile and was ready to get started on figuring out what the issue was. He spent time looking at the heating and cooling unit, cleaning it(it had not been serviced in a long time), testing wiring, looking at the thermostat, and making sure cool air was flowing out of all of the vents. He determined that the unit needed cleaning(which he did), the air filter needed replacement(he hooked me up with a washable one that will last longer), and a new thermostat because the one we had stopped communicating with the heating and air system. All I know is that there is now cool air and I don`t have to be cranky and hot(only cranky). Adam is a great technician, efficient and knowledgeable in his field. I also found him to be a pleasant human being and easy to chat with. I asked a lot of questions and wanted to know what he was doing and why and he was more than happy to indulge my curiosity. 5 stars. Would recommend Global Heating and Air Conditioning. Adam is the best! Did I say Adam is the best? This was one of the most pleasant service requests I've had in a long while from ALL industries I've ever had to lean on for help. Adam diagnosed my heater problem Instantly, and was adamant about the dangers looming with a 30 year old heater without trying to sell me on another unit that is housed under the floor. In addition, he was able to get a second and much safer heater cleaned and going in minutes in the same room without demeaning me for user error on how to work the backup heater. A great experience! The technician came out for our split unit AC was dripping. The other company (whose name shall not be mentioned,) who has the service contract had come out and told us there was "nothing wrong with the unit." Global Heat and Air Conditioning ran more comprehensive tests and came to the same conclusion. The other company failed to do such tests. We had a 9+ year old solar inverter stop working. We called our original installer to have it diagnosed. We were told it would be a two week timeframe for them to schedule a consultation with us. We called Global Heating and Air Conditioning and Sal came over the very next day to diagnose the issue. He spent an hour testing our system and confirmed that the issue was the inverter. He provided us with quotes for a new inverter or a Tesla Power Wall 3. Both were very reasonable and competitive. We chose the Power Wall 3. To our surprise, Sal was able to order it and schedule the install within a matter of days. Gabe and his crew came over and completed the entire install in one day. It was a complex process. Gabe and his team were professional and thorough. They did an excellent job. Was offered a reasonable time frame and competitive quote. I reached out to him on a Tuesday, received a quote on wednesday, and I signed that Friday and chose install date the following Tuesday (it would have gotten done sooner but I lagged on signing the paperwork). For the actual install, Gabe and Assa were amazing. They arrived on time as promised. They were clean with their work, cleaned up after the mess, took all the trash and old furnace. Respectful of the home. Gabe went thoroughly through all the details of the new switch, how to turn the gas valve on and off, went through the scenario of once winter rolls around how to reignite the pilot lite. He assured that they checked the new gas valve, made sure the exhaust was clear of debris to assure no build up of CO. I appreciated that once the job was done he said if there is anything that comes up always feel free to reach out to them. They were also professional in making sure payment was secured. After providing the check they went over all their notes, showed that they were confirming they received my check and they sent this confirmation of payment to my email right away to provide assurance there is no further balance due. Gabe also asked for any feedback which I did not have anything else to provide. 5/5 service in my book. Sal knows his details when it comes to HVAC. I live near the coast, have humidity over 60% inside my house during spring and fall, and knew a whole house dehumidifier is the recommended solution. I wanted to pair this with a variable speed system for optimal comfort. I reached out to various companies and Sal was the most knowledgeable and understanding of my desires. He gave me a competitive quote for a Bryant evolution system + a dehumidifier and air filter. Gabe managed the on-site install well. His team organized their tools in my garage and got right to work. You could tell that they were experienced in the way that they operated. Gabe always chatted with me to confirm any decisions that needed to be made and was happy to describe to me all of the work as it progressed. The system works great. The variable speed system is nearly silent and does a good job keeping in temps in range without blasting air. The air purifier keeps AQI nearly perfect. We rarely use the AC and heater in the house but we noticed that the house was not getting cool when the AC was on. We decided to call Global and we are glad we did. Global sent a service technician named Salam. Salam did his maintenance check and found the problem with the AC. He replaced the defective part and our system was back up and running. Global was very responsive, they scheduled the appointment within a couple of days. Salam was excellent. I have been calling global heating and air-conditioning to service my HVAC for years. Today on my annual service call to maintain my HVAC, I found out that I have been spending money for nothing. Years worth of money on HVAC maintenance and all they did was spray it can of cleaner into the coils. I mentioned to the technician that I had an issue earlier in the year and he nonchalantly stated we don't clean the HVAC that is a separate service and cost $250 extra on top of the normal maintenance fee that you have paid($125). Bottom line do not use this company as they nickel and dime you. Above all the they have the audacity to lie straight to your face and steal your money. I cannot emphasize this enough, Do not use global heating and air conditioning . save yourself money and call someone else. read more

As a follow-up to my review below, Sal came over yesterday to troubleshoot how we could get more cold air upstairs. Sal found that the original venting upstairs was pretty inadequate - just a small 4" pipe going to one room, with a 6" pipe going to the other all the way from downstairs. In a perfect world, we'd get new ducts inside our walls. But that would mean a pretty big remodel, which we're not apt to do. Sal looked at different options and reset the fan speed in our furnace to the highest setting. He also tweaked the vent covers and made good use of re-angling them to align with our ceiling fan to bring the cool air down. Sal also mentioned that we could try a diverter if need be. He really is committed to making sure his customers are well cared for and I appreciate his hard work. Sal also mentioned they'd be happy to move the electric box by the condenser if the HOA needs us to move it, which is really helpful! All in all, I'm really happy with Global Heating and Air Conditioning. Sal's customer service is excellent and I appreciate his commitment to his customers happiness. read more
