He went to college for this, believe he grew up off grid on Maui and you can tell right away he's knowledgeable and a straight shooter. Not to mention he had the best pricing and deal out of every other company! Gabe made us feel comfortable with our decision, gave us all the information we wanted, and actually drove out to our house multiple times to chat when we had additional questions and concerns. Is Aloha a smaller company, yes, but will Gabe answer your call when needed, yes! Fast forward install happened within a couple weeks of signing the deal. Minas was the head installer it seemed (all people are internal employees with Aloha and work is NOT contracted out, that was a big seller for us), and two other guys Rigo and Matt. All were super nice and very professional. Minas walked me through everything at the end, and major bonus points once he installed the piping going from battery to roof, he asked if I had paint that matched the exterior of my house. I did, and he then painted all of the piping! I know he did not have to do that, so that was a fantastic touch. It was seamless and "almost" right on the projected time frames. Through the process they kept me up to date and were available for a few questions I had along the way. The installation crew came out and they were EVEN better than the customer service and sales rep. Eduardo Naranjo needs a promotion and a raise. The man was so humble, genuine and all around a great guy. He dealt with my kids and many dogs with no fear lol. He was professional and kept me apprised of everything the crew was doing. At then end of the installation I was sad to see the man and his team go because they were so personable and efficient. The install of my panels and batteries looks way way better than I could have imagined. I already had existing solar that I liked. But this new system blows it out the water. Anyway. Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

As someone who relies on word-of-mouth reputation and customer service for my own personal business, this company fails across the board. 1) We had an issue with our solar panels so we called Solar Tech first thing in the morning. The phone operator told us we would get a call back from one of the techs later on that day. FIVE days went by before we even got a response back, and it was in the form of a text message asking us what problems we were having. If a customer is calling you for help, the last thing you should do is make them wait almost a week to get a response, and then have them explain to you what is wrong over text. Very poor professionalism. STRIKE 1. 2) The tech told us the next available appointment was 1 full week away, so not only did we wait FIVE full days for a text response, but we had to wait another full week for any resolution of service. STRIKE 2 3) The day of our appointment, thankfully, we had the first appointment of the day scheduled as we had a very busy day with other obligations so we were hoping to have everything completed by mid morning. After about 4 hours of the company no-show/no-call/no-text, we decided to call the company to find out the status of our appointment. We got a voicemail instead of someone live, so we left a message. A few hours later we finally got a call back saying someone will show up later that day. And they did finally show up at the very end of the workday. STRIKE 3 This was a very VERY disappointing experience. From poor follow up, poor customer service, and just a poor company all around. For someone like me, my sales/service business relies heavy on customer service. I've provided 1000s of recommendations and referrals of vendors for roofing, plumbing, solar, electrical work and more over the last 20 years, and i can say that I will never recommend this company as their lack of customer service would reflect very poorly on me and my business. The last thing I would ever want to do is upset a client or customer as they are the backbone of any business.

Background: The credit for green energy was ending in 2025, and I had always wanted to reinsulate my home because it was so cold in winter and super hot in summer. I went through many different companies and seeing how people felt about them, and I saw a lot of horror stories. I called up a few companies and found out that insulation is kind of like roofing, where a sales person and a tech comes, where the tech looks around and the sales person tries to scare you into using their company right then. They might say something like "your attic is super hot" (that's normal, well, up to a point), or "we'll give you a special deal if you say yes right now". Just kind of shady stuff overall. One big thing that people mention is that while insulation is good, you need to airseal your attic as well - this was another thing I was looking to get done. Initial Meeting: So I was kind of expecting that when I called Attic Professional. Fortunately, that was not the case at all! From other reviews you might have figured that the owner, Bryan, is incredibly respectful and treats customers well. I got to experience that as well. One thing I was surprised at is he had inside shoes (the kind you see in Japan) and put them on and off when walking around the house. He went up into my attic and really dug around to look for issues like pests or mold (besides the poor insulation layers). We went around the home together to look for clogged vents. He didn't try to sell me on anything - I remember reading one review that said he didn't try to sell them things they didn't need, and that was my experience too. He said they could put more insulation in on my existing one, or take out the old one and put new one in; but neither would have a substantial difference. I went ahead and asked him to remove the old insulation and put new insulation in just for cleanliness. I even later changed my mind and asked for a custom insulation scheme - some fiberglass batting and mostly blown-in, and he had no problem accommodating that. Oh, and they would include airsealing gaps in the attic with fire resistant foam! Reinsulation: A few weeks later, he and his team brought his truck up to my house. They covered many surfaces with plastic drop cloth to prevent insulation from flying around - they taped doorways so I could come through, and they taped cardboard to corners in the house so their insulation blower tube wouldn't cause damage. They put canvas drop cloths on the floors to protect them. There was a bit of fiberglass and debris around after, but it was very, very minor. I understand how difficult it is to be flawless with cleanup, but these guys were very good. The work was smooth and quick - only a few hours. I didn't have to add much input and the team was in and out. Bryan left for another site for an hour or so, but everyone was just as respectful as Bryan, and they told me he was a very good person to work for. Always nice to see that the employees have a good opinion of the company as well. One thing that I thought was interesting is after they removed all the previous insulation, they let me look at the attic and see how they stapled their measuring tapes. Apparently, some insulation companies will scam their customers and fold up their measuring tapes so it shows more insulation than what's actually in there. I was able to verify myself that all the measuring tapes were correct. Bryan and I did a final check on the attic together and I was very happy. Above and beyond: A month or so later, I was very curious about the insulation and really wanted to optimize the house, so I got one of those FLIR guns (temperature sensor guns) to see if the attic was perfectly insulated. As expected there were a few spots that had a bit of uneven insulation (after all, nobody's perfect), but for the most part everything was good. I sent Bryan a text about these spots, and he immediately he and his crew to come add some more insulation and pack it in. Now everything on the camera looks great. I think it's pretty rare to find such attention to quality, and I was very impressed. Results: In the San Diego weather by home would average 63 degrees when outside it was around 48. Now, the house never drops below 68, and it averages around 72 year round. When it's 85 degrees outside, it might be 76-78 inside. I've seen the temperature inside crack 80 maybe twice in the last year, and never seen it below 65. This is with no heater, no AC running EVER. So TLDR: I would completely recommend using Attic Professional for your insulation. Take a look at their price, but I find their quality far outshines anything I've seen, and I think I got a steal of a deal (with the now-removed credit sadly).

L Global Heating Review I cannot say enough good things about Sal and his team at Global Heating and Air Conditioning. They came highly recommended by two of my good friends, and I am happy to give them my best recommendation as well. Sal first came to check out my place in 2020. He was both professional and considerate in masking and taking COVID precautions, and I immediately knew that I wanted to work with him. This is the kind of work where you get what you pay for - I found a couple different A/C companies at price points, but I knew that Sal's team would do the best job. Due to unforeseen circumstances as a result of the pandemic, two years passed before I was finally ready to move forward with the A/C installation. I reached out to Sal again, and he remembered me and we scheduled the work. His team was professional, efficient, and friendly, and their attention to detail was impeccable. They're great! It was quite a lot of work, and they clearly wanted to do an expert job. They did the installation during the hottest three days of the year - during the infamous heat dome of 2022. The A/C turned out better than I even imagined, and the ceiling cassettes that I chose are very sleek. After they finished the job, I woke up that first morning chilly and so happy. read more

Our original furnace finally quit after nearly 50 years. The goal was simply to replace the heater before winter started. We had 4 companies visit - Global, AirMaxx, Anderson, and West Coast. Anderson was too expensive. AirMaxx seemed to want to add zoned heating for no real reason. West Coast and Global were more competitively priced than the other two as well. Global was able to schedule us sooner. The price was affordable enough that we chose to replace our existing ducts (also around 50 yrs old now), add an additional duct, and also add A/C, something we have wanted for around 10 years now because the summers are getting warmer and lasting longer. From Adam, to Sal, to the techs who knocked out the entire job in under two days (including asbestos removal), we were very impressed with how positive, efficient, and professional the Global team was. I believe this is the first review that I have left on Yelp and hopefully, that tells you something. If you're looking for a knowledgeable team that is focused on doing a quality HVAC job for you, you should at least consider contacting Global and having them come out to your home to give you and estimate. read more

Second review of Tarpy Heating, this one is in regard to a service call for our 33yo heating unit. The unit wasn't functioning correctly and since we had such an excellent experience with Tarpy installing our Euro-Splits earlier in the Fall we called them for help. Again, Jessica the Scheduling Diva, was able to send a technician out very quickly, the next day. The Tech was Cody Miller who we'd worked with before. After hearing the symptoms he performed a complete diagnostic, especially checking the system for any cracks or damage due to its age, using a water testing technique that was very clever and revealed that the unit was still sound despite its age. So he cleaned and tested the other moving parts and the system began to work properly again, apparently just needed a once over cleaning and check-up. Cody was on time, fast & efficient and was finished under an hour. He also explained the specific service elements as they were performed and is a good teacher too. So we'd highly recommend this company not only for Euro-Split installation but also for traditional heating service and maintenance! I want to echo the MANY positive reviews about Global Heating and Air. My wife and I had a GREAT experience working with Global. We chose Global (after 5 bids) to replace our broken heating and air system with a heat pump. Global's bid was the most appropriate (best designed) for our situation and priced reasonably. The team of installers was the best I have ever seen - for ANY home improvement project. Gabe, the team-lead, was the consummate professional: a great communicator who was always responsive to our questions and requests. Gabe's team - David, Emad and Nawras - were efficient in their work and sensitive to coming in and out of our house throughout the 2-day install. My wife and I also enjoyed working with Salam - who came to our house, explained his proposed solution and gave us a reasonable bid - and Alvandra, the admin, followed up efficiently with all requests, including managing the city inspection required afterward. All-in-all, we had a GREAT experience with Global Heating and Air. I recommend them without reservation! Five stars plus! read more

I couldn't recommend them highly enough. We had old gas furnaces and needed to upgrade to new heat pump systems. Based on Yelp reviews I had assessments done by the top rated 3 companies. From the beginning Salam set the difference. His warmth, kindness, thoroughness and attention to detail, and competence shone through. I felt I could trust him completely. I never felt pressed or felt it was a "sell mode". And then their quote was also the lowest. So it was an easy choice. And we were not disappointed. It was an older house so we needed to replace most of the ducts in the system. Awni, Emad and Amer were at the house for 5 days. And it felt like they were family. Hard working, thorough, highly competent, they left the house fully clean every evening. The owner of the business, Sal, is also an exceptional individual. There's a culture at Global that is unique. Competence, honesty, hard work and customer focus. Again, I could not recommend them highly enough. The hottest afternoon, Thursday May 15th @ 104 degrees, 3 PM, our A/C was all of a sudden blowing very hot air and the outside unit was just humming not working.. The company that we have been using was too busy to come until a week later. So Jim went online, we called 4 places, too busy, not answering or not able to come until the following week....would have melted by then for sure. The minute we called Sal @ Global, he picked up in 2 rings; even tho it was by then 5pm, he came to fix our A/C in 3 hours! A very professional, intelligent, kind young man. Even tho he had been working since very early that morning, he was calm, patient, answering our questions doing an excellent job. I recently had Global Heating and Air Conditioning install a new HVAC system in my home. The job was done flawlessly by Awni, the lead technician. He and his team were very professional and took great care to prep and clean up to ensure my home was clean when the project was completed. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail of all their work. They made sure that everything was installed correctly and that the system was working perfectly. The Global team is simply amazing! We hired them to repair our poorly functioning central AC, and it has been working unbelievably efficiently ever since. Not only were Jibby, Mike, and Awni skilled workers (and considerate enough to make sure our house remained clean despite the extensive work being done!), but when it became clear that they were not going to be able to complete the lengthy project by the end of the day, additional Global employees arrived and the whole team stayed until after 7pm (for no extra charge!) to make sure that they completed everything in a single day so that I didn't have to miss an additional day of work--even though we'd been warned the project might take two days. Our blower fan motor went out during this most recent heatwave. In an old house with not much insulation, the temperatures in my house were miserable. I called many companies, but none could come out as quickly as Global did. Adam immediately diagnosed the problem, got the new part the next day, and installed it promptly, and we have a cool house once again. Also, while diagnosing our ac unit, he detected a natural gas smell coming from our newly installed water heater. I highly recommend this company to install minisplits AND solar! Sal came over to speak with me about my old craftsman house and answered all my questions. He was kind and his estimates were very reasonable. Then Gabe and Rivan came over to install the minisplits and solar. They were both very nice and professional. Gabe explained the process very well and Sal stopped in on the first day to see how things were going. The guys finished the minisplits in 1.5 days, the solar in 2 days and it looks great! The final cost was exactly the same as the estimate. In addition, Gabe told me that he smelled gas and recommended that I call SDG&E- who came out the next day and fixed my leak. Had a 5ton Carrier unit installed. these guys are more than professional. The crew: Gabe, Amer & Issa showed up on time as scheduled, were friendly, curtious, clean and explained the unit operation fully before leaving. They tested the AC and made sure it was blowing ice cold air, hauled the old unit away and cleaned inside and out thoroughly. Wall AC was flaking out so I called these guys for an appt. They gave me one the next day. They were actually earlier than their 2 hour window. Diagnosed my wall AC as faulty for a very reasonable price and told me they could hook me up with a new unit in 2 days. MUCH to my surprise, they called back in an hour with an installed estimate of $900 and they would be back THE SAME DAY to install it. I couldn't believe it!. I had a problem with my central air system at my home in South Park and called a few companies to arrange a service call. Global was one of the few that would schedule for Saturday without an additional charge. They were very professional and efficient in the way they got things lined up. Another bidder did not bring any diagnostic equipment, but was very ready to come back to repair or replace the ac and would at that time inspect the furnace. His bid for replacing the ac did not even mention the need for permits. And then, there's Straight Shooter. They were already my service company and at check up time, Rich was concerned about the refrigerant level. He asked to come back on a warmer day to be sure the cold had not given a false reading. Rich also suggested it was time to find out if the aging system needed replacement due to some others signs. I asked him to arrange that, so Scott came the same day Rich returned. At that time, a crack was found in the furnace heat exchanger. Also, it was determined the ac refrigerant loss was so significant, repair would be too costly, especially for the ac's age.
