Fast talking... beware. Very nice, personable but I feel cheated. Fridge stopped working. Igor's diagnosis was the 60 year old electrical outlet should be changed but. For $299 he would try the extension cord in the outlet 3 feet away. Sure enough, the extension cord worked and off he went. He said I wouldn't know how to restart the fridge. The electrician plugged the fridge into the original outlet and off he went. so for a total $400 my fridge works and there's nothing new. read more

While our service tech Cole was very nice and personable all 3 times he came to our house, I can't in good conscience recommend Comfort Bros. After spending 4.8k in replacing parts and repairs we were informed that we had a leak and the recommendation was to replace the outdoor and indoor cooling unit. The furnace was fine. First quote was 12.9k and then the lead, Josh or Jake, knocked off almost 1.6k for previous work so the final quote was 10.4k We decided to shop around and got 2 quotes from local businesses and both of them told us we'd pay more for Comfort Bros because we're paying towards the larger overhead and the cost of their advertising. Both of the quotes came in at least 4k lower with the same equipment. Both companies also told us that the parts that Comfort Bros previously replaced (fan/blower for 3.5k) was under warranty. In the state of California it doesnt matter who installed it, any company could replace on that 10yr warranty. We went with the 3rd company, got a better unit, and added a mini split while still coming in a few thousand under the 10.4k we nearly paid Comfort Bros. Do your research friends, it literally pays to take the time to get a few professional quotes! read more

We had a great experience with Cole at Comfort Bros. We responded to their late summer promo mailer for a $29 A/C Inspection and tune-up. Our initial contact by phone was with Jason who was impressively competent, friendly, and professional. They scheduled us within a day or two for Cole to come out. He texted us ~20 minutes before his arrival and they send you a link that lets you track as he gets closer to your house (nice touch that we hope other contractors adopt!). Cole was the epitome of thorough professionalism and friendliness. He took his time communicating exceptionally well with us both before and after he cleaned and tuned up our AC unit and took many pictures documenting what our unit looked like before and after his efforts. Based on our experiences with Cole we signed up on the spot for their $99/yr. VIP membership program which includes 1 A/C tune up and 1 heater inspection and maintenance visit each year. At those great prices, we thought they might suggest upgrading our HVAC system and Electric panel which they did but we were already considering that. After thorough evaluation of their quote and 4 or 5 others for the Electric Panel replacement and wiring we did find their prices significantly higher than other highly-rated licensed competitors though so we went with a different company. Their initial quote on a new HVAC system also seems high to us, but we have not yet done full due diligence on that as we will need to back burner it until we complete our more urgently needed Electrical work and hopefully save a bit more money. The 5-star rating is for the professionalism of everybody associated with the company, and especially the services we received from Jason and Cole. We will update the rating if we do eventually decide to go with them for our HVAC replacement. read more

They refused to even give me an estimate as they wanted to come out only to give pricing. I would avoid companies like this. My AC was motor was running but cool air wasn't coming out. I mentioned to the tech, Matthew, that I had a panel upgrade recently. It didn't take long for him to go to the panel and to see how much power the unit was receiving. He determined that the electrician did not wire the circuit correctly so the compressor was not turning on. Matthew also did a courtesy assessment of my system and made suggestions. Instead of paying the service call fee, he convinced me to sign up for the membership and the very next day, Cole came and flushed my tankless water heater. I was actually planning to do that myself but it was good to watch a professional do it first. The electrician came by about two weeks later and quickly determined that the circuit was wired wrong so I'm glad Matthew was right. All the HVAC companies my neighbors had recommended all had a handful of bad reviews so I took a chance in doing my own research and am very glad I found these guys as they were very professional and did not try to convince me to replace my current AC system. read more

Cole came out for a complimentary tune-up. He took apart the furnace and said there were cracks, we were leaking carbon monoxide from the cracks and if we used our heater, we were at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. He told us it would be best to purchase an entirely new furnace at $7,000. He told us he would need to shut off the gas to the furnace per the government rules because of the CO leak. We were unable to use our furnace to heat the house that night. It was a very cold night and my six-month-old was freezing through the night. I couldn't sleep I was so worried. A more reputable company came out today to check all the parts. No leaks. He checked the furnace and ALL our vents for carbon monoxide. NO LEAKS. I will be calling SDGE to come and do a complimentary carbon monoxide scan as well. Shame on Cole and this company for their predatory practices to try to make a buck. They came out for a "complimentary" tune-up. Scared me with FALSE claims, turned OFF the gas to our furnace, and told us that fixing it would cost $7000. Unconscionable what some people will do for money. read more

Comfort Bros are the BEST. TOP SHELF. I had a great new HVAC installed by 3 really good guys in record time and excellent competitive cost in June 2025. When the hot weather kicked in this August I wanted to have it ready to go and tested since I did not use it much after it was initially installed and in just one day Brandon came out and in short time had it completely adequate for the hot weather and retested and reset the system. These guys did such a stellar job I am hiring them to do my upcoming plumbing upgrades. Highly Recommend. Will use Services again. read more

We had a 20-year-old furnace decide to go kaput on us (during the coldest week of the year so far, of course), and so we reached out to Comfort Bros to send out help to diagnose the problem. Boy, we're sure glad we did. Beginning with consultants Cole and Scott, and ending with installers Ryan and Jonny, we found ourselves in excellent and knowledgable hands from start to finish. Cole and Scott were able to quickly identify (and explain) what was failing on our old furnace (pretty much everything, as it turns out -- did I tell you it was 20 years old?), and then provide us with a variety of solutions -- from repair to replacement. We chose replacement, and are ecstatic to report that installers Ryan and Jonny arrived the very next day(!) with our new furnace, and had it up and running successfully within a matter of just a few hours of work. Everyone was prompt, polite, and professional throughout the entire process. Look -- nobody likes to spend money on new major appliances for their homes. But it's a fact of life, so why make it more painful than it has to be? If you choose Comfort Bros, you can be certain the amazing customer service you are provided will at least help make an already difficult endeavor so much better than it could be. I was so disappointed in this company. I had high hopes--I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly, they were courteous, called to confirm the appointment and showed up on time. However, their rates were ridiculous. I needed the bathtub drain plug replaced. Instead of fixing it, he gave me a quote of $2k to go through the downstairs ceiling, install a new plug and repair the drywall. I still don't understand exactly what he wanted to do because it didn't make sense, and he never bothered to send me the estimate. I also have two bathrooms with sink handles that are a little difficult to turn. I have the replacement cartridges. But to change them, he quoted $350 a bathroom. My husband ended up going on YouTube and replaced the tub drain for $30 (and no hole in my ceiling). He will do the same for swapping out the cartridges. They either hired an incompetent plumber (unlikely) or are preying on people who don't understand much about plumbing. read more
