John responded quickly to my inquiry. He was honest and upfront about service charge for the weekend. Once I had agreed. He and his team came out right away and got to work on my clogged kitchen drain. Customer service was top tier. Friendly and informative. Definitely will be using them again and recommend to anyone looking for an honest plumber. read more

I felt like a sitting duck. They spent less than 30 mins replacing a $20 toilet fluid master fill value. The unlicensed trainee did the install. Bill is $291. $582/hour is more than my doctor charges for an office visit. The invoice was hilarious. No breakdown of parts and labor, just a few lines he made up that sounded good to him. Both of them had been sick for a week. John looked pale still, but they risked my health by coming. read more

So thankful to have found John on Yelp. I called him this morning and got a very quick response and extremely honest service. Will be using again for all my plumbing needs. read more

I was getting quotes for a needed plumbing inspection as part of a real estate transaction and spoke with John Joyce. Where I didn't end up going with him, he was very knowledgeable and even took the time to answer a technical plumbing question I had. Based on this limited interaction highlighting technical competence and customer service/friendliness, I will definitely consider Joyce Plumbing again. read more

John was very quick to respond and was able to come by to check our laundry pipes almost immediately. He was very informative and answered all my questions regarding the service. Mr. Joyce and his son came to our home on a Saturday when we starting having a leaking pipe in our attic. They showed up, were very professional, seemed to work efficiently, and fixed the issue AND another issue we hadn't even seen. Mr. Joyce provided photographs of the issues in the attic so we could see exactly what was wrong and needed to be fixed. He even recommend some other preventative maintenance items, and let us know they were easy and we could do it ourselves - but he would happily do it if we didn't want to. This was a great experience and I'd recommend them for your plumbing needs. read more

Responded quickly, professional, clean work. Family owned business. Would definitely call them again

John Joyce is honest, professional, and knows what he is doing. He came out with his son this week to snake two clogged sinks. Another plumbing company had quoted me thousands of dollars because they failed when they tried to snake it. John snaked it from the roof and the results and price were great. read more

We asked for service from 5 companies and Joyce was far and away the fastest to come out and inspect. They offered great advice and fair pricing explained in an easy to understand way. John Joyce and his son came out on the appointment and it was amazing to see a family team at work like that! read more

John and his son were great. John recognized my leak needed to be repaired quickly and he fit me in the next day. He also came back the day after when I was having shower issues and fixed both showers back to brand new working condition! His price for the project was fair, about what I expected and didn't charge to fix one of the showers that wasn't working right, not as a result of the work he did. Above and beyond and high integrity. Thats who I like to do business with. Thanks guys read more

Mr. Joyce and his son came out and took care of us yet again. Our garbage disposal went out for good this time and we needed our tankless water heater maintained. He asked what kind of garbage disposal we had and said he'd pick up a comparable one on the way the next morning. He'd very polite which I love. He called this morning with a few different options and we figured out the correct one for our needs. He stopped by 1/2 an hour later as he stated and got the job done right. Please treat Mr. Joyce well he's the best. read more

This guy saved my ass for lack of better words... I won't get into my previous toilet installation drama experience But let's just say... This guy is legit... A legit plumber super professional Very precise A little more than I expected to pay for a toilet install but ... To be honest, after some of my previous shady lack luster experiences with "hack plumbers" I was happy to pay to get my FREAKING NEW TOILET INSTALLED!!!! And know this guy takes pride in his work. Thanks Joyce Plumbing for installing my new crapper!!! P.S. did you all know how the slang term "crap and crapper" came about? Well it's the last name of the guy who invented the flushing toilet; THOMAS CRAPPER of course! Lol You can thank me later.... read more

I just returned from vacation, went to water my yard, had a hose on my tree out front slowly watering it and I went to water the backyard.. And there was the worst banging throughout my entire house everywhere so loud, I shut the water off to the entire house. I phoned this person up, a plumbing company open 7 days a week 24 hours a day.. I called John on a Saturday in the middle of the day, and he said are you sure there's nothing running I said there's nothing running. And so he said I'm getting my truck I will be right there 15 minutes. And I realized I had left the hose on a slow drip to the front yard tree. I said oh my goodness I ran shut the hose off the hose bib turn back on my water to the house. . And the entire rattling was gone all was quiet. I had a bad hose bib. I called him back very quickly, I told him everything was good my water was back on - I'm so sorry if he was headed to get his truck since he was at home. He is the owner, his name is John, and he is absolutely amazing. He is now my plumber if anything goes wrong in my house. He told me no worries, he was glad everything was okay he'd be happy to fix my hose bib today if I chose, or Monday if that worked better. And it possibly could have reseated itself and the problem actually might have corrected itself. What a truly professional and honest man and business this is. I recommend them for all your plumbing needs Thank You John !! read more

I Have used this small, family owned business for many years. John and his son are top notch--the service is great, the communication first rate and the pricing is fair. I had my pilot light go out unexpectedly. Joyce plumbing called me back when none of the big corporate plumbers never did. He came out same day and was very friendly. He explained everything he was doing, what had gone wrong and fixed it quickly. I highly recommend them as a local reputable knowledge company. I will definitely use them for any of my plumbing needs. read more

Professional, competent, on time, good (perhaps best) pricing and excellent work. I've had John out three times for three different items and he has handled them all extremely well! Will be using him again! read more

Disappointed. We used Joyce for several years in our la mesa home and were always pleased. Recently we even recommended Joyce to the new owners of that home. We moved to mission hills and had him out to look at a couple of concerns. There was a repair that needed to be done in near future. The quote was never received but we kept getting emails for Sheldon's cafe (receipts and quotes). We never got our estimate-when I messaged to tell him, he asked to call him. I didn't have time that day and I let it go figuring we would eventually get to it when we were ready to do the work (non urgent). I messaged him today for an urgent matter with a bit of background on the problem and to see if he was available. Response was simply "I am not". We have other bathrooms, had he responded "I'm not available today but......" we may have waited for him or at least planned to keep as our main plumber. 5 star work, poor communication. read more

I had a minor gas leak and John was able to fix my problem within the same day. He gave me few options and gave me confidence in choosing the option that was not too pricey. I appreciated his honesty and I definitely will call him for any other plumbing issues. read more

I've used Joyce Plumbing on two jobs now and have been pleased with the quality of his work. I want to point out two positives here that do not apply to most service providers. First, John Joyce uses his own family name for the name of his business. No hiding behind a DBA (Doing Business As) name there. Second, both times I've requested an estimate from plumbers through Yelp, John has replied with an actual dollar amount. Most Yelp replies just say, "Call me." read more

Honest, prompt, and efficient. Called on a Saturday morning about a backed up sink, and John replied promptly, was there in the afternoon, snaked the pipes through the vent stack on the roof to avoid a mess inside. Afterwards, he took the time the answer a bunch of questions I had related to the job and more general questions about plumbing. He was generous with his time and advice. Highly recommend. read more

John is very professional and gives advice that makes sense to me. He was on time and did good work.

After calling a dozen plumbers, and receiving no response, I contacted John with Joyce plumbing and got a same day appointment! He snaked my clogged tub line and replaced the broken flush lever of my toilet and was on his way in good time! Fast, friendly, and affordable. I know who I'm calling next time I have a plumbing concern. Keep up the great work! read more

John is awesome he will help you out as much as he can highly recommend five star for this guy reasonable price

Joyce Plumbing will absolutely be my go-to plumbing company. You'd be crazy not to use them. I needed my garbage disposal replaced and they were one of only two companies that responded via Yelp with a quote without having to come out. Once they came out they stuck to their original quote and replaced my disposal within an hour. What an amazing company - super-friendly people and great price for the work being done (half of what some others quoted me!). No one likes to deal with plumbing issues, but the entire project from initial contact to completion of work was a breeze and an absolute joy. Why can't all businesses work like this? Keep up the great work!! Thank you so much! read more

John asked if he could come early, which really worked out good for me. He explained the problem with my water cutoff valve, and I learned a lot from it. He then gave me a quote (lowest that I got from anyone) and he and his assistant got right to work. They were done in no time, and I feel much safer knowing that if I need to shut off the water in an emergency, I can do just that. Looks nice, too! Friendly, fast, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I DEFINITELY recommend this company. read more

Wonderful service. Called late on a Friday afternoon and also the start of a holiday Labor Day weekend. Mr. Joyce still came to my house, found the leak and made it where my water could at least be turned back on. He will return next week. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and fair with his pricing. I would definitely recommend him to others! Thank you!! read more

We wanted to repair/replace an old, troublesome tub/shower valve. John encouraged us to up-grade to a newer type of valve. The new valve was more expensive, but we like it very much and see that it was good investment. John has been taking care of my old house plumbing issues for years. I trust his judgement. read more

We had a leak under our sink and I assumed we needed a new garbage disposal as that appeared to be the source. I called Joyce Plumbing on Sunday afternoon and got an immediate answer. No problem having someone come Monday to avoid weekend fees. Plumber called in the morning to discuss garbage disposal options and gave me the pros and cons. I chose a middle price option. Plumber showed up on time and looked at the sink for ten minutes. I didn't need a new disposal and he just tightened everything up. He even apologized for having to charge us a service fee since he didnt need to do much. Great service. Will use again. read more
