We have used Airmaxx in the past to service our AC and furnace, and they were great to work with. This time we decided to replace a nearly 40 year-old 4 ton air conditioner and gas furnace, getting rid of a noisy and inefficient system. The old Lennox was built like a tank, but the R 22 refrigerant was nearly impossible to get in the old girl was just flat out wearing out. I contacted Airmaxx because of our great experience with them in the past, and Gene was able to come out within a couple of days and discuss our needs. In the meantime I did a ton of research using AI around my specific situation, and I had a pretty good idea that a heat pump was going to be our answer. Gene and I had a nice talk and walked around and looked at the existing equipment, he inspected the ductwork, and agreed that a nice Carrier mid range variable speed heat pump would be a great solution for us. It would be dramatically more efficient and quiet, especially since it was variable speed. Within a day he had provided a couple of quotes, and through very timely back-and-forth we narrowed in on a communicating heat pump system. The quote was very good, but I didn't know how good until I ran the proposal through my beloved AI and then compared proposals from four additional companies. Strike that. One of the companies that came out said they couldn't get anywhere close to Airmaxx's price so they didn't even bother to provide a proposal. There were some clarifications needed to the proposal and Gene was very quick to make updates until it had everything covered. A big differentiator was that not only did they provide a 10 year warranty, but that warranty did not require a service contract like some others do. Two weeks later the system was installed and we could not be happier. Igor and Max, the installers, showed up on time in the morning and completed the job in about six hours. This heat pump is so different than the typical on/off AC from 39 years ago that it's hard to compare. It is extremely quiet, adjusting its speed to the cooling needs to maximize efficiency, and even a full blast it was nowhere near as loud as what was removed. It took some finagling to get the thermostat connected to the phone app, but now I can control my heating and cooling system from anywhere. The installers hauled away all of the old equipment, inspected and repaired my ductwork, and cleaned up after themselves with no issues. They didn't even mind me watching them for a little bit (I tried to stay out of their way, but I'm always curious about technology) I can't say enough about Airmaxx whether you are getting service or a large equipment install. Not only are they responsive and professional, but I found them to be significantly less expensive than other proposals, even those with lesser solutions. Two part review, for both install and long term support/fixes. I went with Airmaxx originally because I wanted specific minisplits that would work with my home automation. Every other AC installer I talked to just wanted to dump whatever brand they knew and got good deals while Airmaxx were the only ones willing to learn a new system and install what I actually wanted. Props to them for that. Today's update is 4-5 years later. They've always been great, coming out for inspections and minor tune ups under warranty but I eventually needed a deep clean. Alex got my units properly cleaned out, which turns out to be a big job on minisplits. He was also kind enough to show me what he was doing so I'd understand better and could ask for the right help in the future. And that's what I love about Airmaxx. Whether initial install or long term support, they're great guys who are interested in explaining things to me, installing what I want not what they want to sell, and showing me the details for how to maintain. Great experience with this company! Our AC crapped out in the middle of the night. Next day I contacted 3 HVAC companies in my area via Yelp. Only AirMaxx was able to come out same day. The Inspection was smooth and problem troubleshot and identified quickly. No extra upsells on products or services I didnt need. However, he didn't have the specific part (fan motor) for my unit on hand. But the tech was able to locate and scheduled me for installation just a few days later. I probably could have got it sooner with one of the bigger companies that you see obnoxious commercials for but they have the ratings they have for a reason (usually $$$) and they have to pay for all that overhead. I decided to stick with AirMaxx instead because the estimate was fair and the timing was acceptable. The tech (Jeff) was communicative, professional and got my part/repair completed on the scheduled day without issues. Lets just say they saved me. My HVAC stopped working due to a failed capacitor. Everyone else in the HVAC industry pretty much is a rip off and straight up greed. We communicated with Airmaxx on Yelp a Sunday evening regarding our air conditioning unit wasn't working. They responded immediately and we set up an appointment for Monday morning between 8:00-9:00am. Alex arrived at 7:58am. He asked us a few questions and then set out to figure out what our problem was. Within 10 minutes he had located the problem, discussed it with us and went to his van and got the required part. Tested the air conditioning unit to see that it was working as it should, which it was he said he wanted to check on the heater. My mother-in-law had a broken air conditioner this summer and she very clearly didn't mind the 100 degree heat inside her townhouse.
