JPM is the perfect example of "you get what you pay for". We moved from La Mesa to Fletcher Hills in November. With that transfer, we had the standard one-year "Home Guaranty" policy which we have found is useless (as have many others). Anyway - our A/C started failing and we applied for relief through the insurance policy. The insurance company sent out two different "fly-by-nighters" who totally misdiagnosed the issue and fixed nothing. So, after looking at Yelp reviews, I called JPM. They responded immediately and sent out Rick to diagnose the problem. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable and he diagnosed the issues quickly. We paid a reasonable "fix it" fee and we now have our A/C back after two weeks of chaos dealing with insurance and incompetent technicians. JPM and Rick get 10 stars. 1-15-2025 Filter for heat pump heater and a/c rusted out and lost freon. Zero heat. Called at 7am and Jason, the owner, answered. Really impressed me. I had two folks from a certain "White Glove" themed HVAC company come out and tell me to my face that I had two options: $2,300 in new parts & repairs "that might fix the problem" or a complete replacement of my furnace that would cost almost $11,000. Because Jason and his crew did a very good job to install the mini split system for our house last year, we hired him to remove the furnace that we no longer needed. On the job day, Jason called me to let me know that he was on his way to my house. After removing the coil and fau, Jason noticed that the water heater venting was not done correctly. He went to his specialty store to get the parts that he needed to make new customized venting for the water heater on site. The new venting fitted perfectly and looked very neat. Seriously, this is the company you should choose for your HVAC system in San Diego. Jason and his team have everything under control. During my renovation I sought out several bids and theirs was not only competitive, it included the best recommendation for how to set things up. Where to locate the ducts (I got all new ductwork) and how to best run the lines needed for the air conditioning. I will upload some photos to show you how my attic looks - Jason suggested raising the ducts so that I could store more stuff and I love it! The Google Nest thermostat is "learning" my habits as we speak and while I haven't gotten my first energy bill yet, I know it's going to be lower than my previous system. They installed a 3 unit mini split ac/heater system at our condo that we Airbnb in Mission Beach at the beginning of summer. The workmanship was excellent. On the outside it blends right in with the building without the other condo owners even noticing. On the inside the 3 blower units look flawless and work even better, stealth quiet when operating. In the beginning there were a few operating errors that I had to call in to them. They came back at an allotted point of time during a guest turnover and got it all straightened out (operator error on my part). I would highly recommend them. read more

Our air conditioning was not keeping up with the summer heat. To make matters worse our heater was red tagged. We called Jason at JPM Heating an Air. He came out to our house and gave us very competitive estimates on replacing both the heating and air conditioning units. After getting a couple of other estimates it became clear the JPM was the company to go with. The price was right, the equipment was of excellent quality and the time line for installation was very reasonable. When the techs showed up for the demo and installation they were very professional, covering their clothing and feet with booties and coveralls while working in the house, attic and outside. The job took 3-4 days from start to finish. At the end of each day the cleaned up all of their work areas, hauled off old equipment and made sure that all areas looked better than when they arrived. Jason's employees answered all of our questions, addressed any concerns we had and were very courteous and professional. Jason made and effort to visited the site everyday. If he couldn't stop by to check the progress he would be in contact with his employees and/or give us a call to make sure everything was going as planned.
