Pride plumbing was amazing. Had a busted lateral line to the street. They prepared all the documents and submitted them to the city of El Cajon for approval. Once approved, next day they came to my house and proceeded to fix the problem. Had to first fix connection to the main line in the street. Next day came out and lined the aging clay pipe. Simon and his son were great. Kept us informed on everything that was being done. Simon and Simon team did a fabulous job and very neat and cleaned up everything before leaving. Incredible experience with Pride Plumbing! Called them after 5pm on a Friday. The Dispatcher was pleasant and efficient. They responded within an hour for a leak in my wall. They were prompt, clean and courteous. I asked lots of questions; they were knowledgeable, patient and professional and answered all my questions. They identified a very tricky and not straightforward problem and resolved it. The problem required multiple teams to work through the difficult scenario in order to identify the water leak issue. They were focused and did not give up. They also identified a gas leak and replaced the gas cocks. I am very grateful that they found that! Each and every team member made it a very positive experience in a scary situation and even provided some laughter. I highly recommended them! read more

My HOA hired Pride Plumbing to fix a hose bib PVC piping leak at my condo. Admin rep., Allie, was helpful and friendly in getting the appointment set up. Plumber Joey showed up for the job. He was on time, knowledgeable, friendly, and made the effort to do a great job at the repair. He even took the time to teach me a few things to maintain the piping in good working order. I don't know the cost of the repair as the HOA paid for it, but the work was top quality. Welp. It's uncommon for me to have loyalty to a single vendor... especially when there's sooo many options out there. But honestly, when I took the leap to move my small business into a retail location, and had a literal plumbing NIGHTMARE... Pride was the first name that came to mind. All hell broke loose in the utility closet, which was accompanied by a clogged... everything... So in my panicked overwhelmed state, I yelled to my husband to call them. Chuck knew how important it was for a new small business owner to keep things operational with minimal downtime.. and immediately sent Matt out to my Point Loma Bakery. Matt, was super informative and was straight up with me. After diagnosing the utility faucet leak, he addressed the insane backup. He adamantly told me what I was responsible for as a tenant and made sure I was well informed. He let me know he'd help me out in any way and... honestly... being riddled with anxiety, his demeanor and empathy really put me at ease. The next day (!!!!) he showed up with the replacement faucet.. he coincidentally showed up when the property management's plumbing company showed up. He took the reigns on relaying what he diagnosed and made sure the PM's plumber wasn't taking advantage of the situation or sinking my wallet, so to speak. Matt really stood up for me and... straight up... Ive never encountered a vendor/tradesman who made me truly appreciate their expertise and presence. Overall, his professional support was beyond anything I could pay for. The experience was well worth the price and I think I got above and beyond for what was initially asked for. Going forward, Pride will forever have my business. What a great experince! Damen came out and assessed our situation. We had a leak from the bathroom that showed up initially in another room so we didn't know where it was coming from. After the walls were exposed we determined it was from the shower. We needed a valve replacement. Damen discused it with his supervisor and we felt he had our best interest at heart in looking for a workable / affordable solution. He did a great job replacing it! Next on the list was for the contractor to put the walls back up and retile. This took forever as the contractor couldn't accommodate us for a month and then someone in our house contracted COVID. During this time, Pride did an excellent job of following up with us and checking in on status. Once all was squared away and we got the thumbs up from the contractor, Damen came back out to put in the "trim kit". This was my first experience with all of this so terminology got slightly confused and expectations were a bit off in terms of what shower parts would be installed. We let Damen know that what was installed wasn't what we expected. Next thing that happened was unusual and fantastic, The general manager. Jenna, contacted us and worked through the confusion with us. She wanted to make sure we were happy with what was installed. She took the time to make sure what was expected was received without any additional charge other than the parts. We are over the moon that she worked with us to make sure we were happy. Pride is contracted with our apartment's HOA to be on call for all plumbing needs and they do not disappoint. Once through the proper channels, someone was out essentially same day. Lyle was super pleasant and quick to get to work. He had to coordinate with the units above ours to get our sink empty and snaked, which all went smoothly. Shady business shady practice, avoid st all cost. They told me one price and charged another. They took advance of the system where if the charge is under $500, they dont have to provide an invoice, so they can over charge without any consequences. We were charged $475, right under the limite. They said they will email the invoice, they never did. I called, they still haven't email the invoice. read more

This company was terrible the first time I dealt with them back in October 2024. I was dealing with one of their plumbers again today, and still the same! Terrible and Unreliable as well! Caught plumber sitting in the van just buying time to get paid when he should have been working at 2:35pm. Nobody notified me when the company, and the HOA Manager were both aware that I was in the property since 12:30pm waiting for their plumber to check the toilet out for possible leak. I have used Pride plumbing a couple of times now, first was a blocked kitchen drain on a Friday and the second was to get an estimate on a sticky L valve. I was afraid in an emergency that the valve would break off causing a flood. Rob assessed the problem with the valve and recommended the 1993 toilet had outlived it usefulness too. So off to home depot for a new American standard cadet 3 (recommended by Rob) some new supply lines and its all good now. I like Robs thoughtfulness, of why don't we fix this job right. You would be safer with a Pride of Lions running through your home, than hiring Pride Plumbing. I have used Pride for almost a decade. BUYER BEWARE. Recently, discovered they didn't correctly repair my bathroom. Pride Plumbing has made me uninsurable. If I have any insurance claims in next 4-5 years, I will have to move or pay out of pocket. I have had four "floods" in 6 years. Two repaired by Pride Plumbing reoccurred. My 2021 Christmas present was the upstairs bathroom, "repaired" by Pride Plumbing in 2014, flooding into my downstairs. AGAIN. This is a guest bath, rarely used. Unfortunately, it is out of the Statue of Limitations with the State Contractor's Department. Had that bath been used at ALL after the "repair," it would most likely would have failed well before the 4-year time frame. I recently started using the guest bath, due to a remodel of the Master bath. The Pride "repaired" bathroom failed within a few weeks of starting to use on a regular basis! When this bath flooded my downstairs kitchen, the plumber my insurance sent, checked the source. He showed me the wax seal had a paper towel lodged in it. It was destined to fail. I don't know if it was dropped or if it was intentional. Now, I am having all plumbing work done by Pride, reexamined. It is worth the expense, I can't afford anymore damage to my home. I don't trust any of the work they have done for me. Buyer beware. They are slipping. Those good reviews are deceiving. I would have given them a good review 2 years ago, I didn't know until recently. DON'T hire them and BE SURPRISED IN A COUPLE OF YEARS? They won't help you when their work fails in 3 or 4 years! A Pride Plumbing truck was parked in my private residential parking spot with a Towaway sign clearly in sight. I needed my parking spot to give my elderly, disabled mother the shortest walking distance to her condo. The young plumber in the truck gave me attitude with faces and told me he was leaving in 5 minutes. Hours later, he was still in my spot and made another unnecessary flippant comment. amazing service..I had a weird smell in one of my bathrooms and fernando was able to diagnose from lack of use in the shower ( spare bathroom) that the p trap was creating the smell. we ran the water and the smell went away..he also changed the p trap under the sink all for reasonable price. Called again ( the lady who scheduled the appointment was very nice) as my garbage disposal stopped working. Fernando again came out only to find that it was stuck so wih a cpuple of twists of an allen wrench it was fine and at no charge even though i Insisted on paying him something for his time. We had a different plumbing come originally - I'm not going to throw them under the bus by listing their name but It was NOT THESE GUYS! The man that came had 46 years of experience, I believe his name started with an R... I truly wish I remembered. My pregnancy brain got the best of me. Anyway, he came in and established what the issue was almost immediately, this issue was either ignored or missed by the previous company because there was no resolve with their solution to our issue. My dishwasher was leaking so I called Pride Plumbing. I've used them a number of times, and I've always been happy with their service. They are also the chosen plumber for the building by our HOA. The dispatcher sent out Javier for an after hours call. Javier called me while he was on the way, and asked about the problem. When I explained that the dishwasher was leaking, he told me that they don't repair appliances. He didn't want to come out to the house, and then have to charge me for the call. He said, all you have to do is turn off the hot water under the sink. I was having trouble finding the valve, so Javier used FaceTime to help me find it, and turn it off. He never came the house, and didn't bill me for the call. Now when was the last time you called a plumber and he stopped the leak over the phone, and then didn't charge you for the call? Terrible!!!! Came to my house to unclog a kitchen sink, the plumber ended up breaking my granite counter. I called the company multiple times, they finally got back to me 13 days later. Had a supervisor come out to access the damage. He tells me no problem easy fix. I was excited! Called back 8 days later. Sent out the owner and the original plumber. Told me it would cost like 50$. I said ok I'll take care of it. I was being very nice and let them know I would pay. I Called for a granite repair company. They came out for an estimate. It was near $1000 to repair. I called back pride plumbing and never received a response. I waited for quite sometime to post this. I really didn't want to give a bad review. But.::: oh my!!! Terrible company. Unfortunately, it appears I had a very similar experience to another review. We had a kitchen sink drainage issue last week and called pride plumbing at the recommendation of our property management company. The plumber that came out was nice enough but couldn't resolve the issue telling us it was a bigger job than what he could deal with at the time. He told me and the tenant that he would send us a formal estimate. I heard nothing back the next day and my tenant called the office directly who then told us that we would be hearing back from the plumber by the end of the day. That was three days ago. At this point, unfortunately I wasted 4 days and need to look for services elsewhere. read more

Fernando and Lyle were a complete pleasure to work with. They arrived punctually with smiles and positive demeanors, and were incredibly thoughtful with their work. We had a simple back up in the main shower of our condo, and with how HOA things tend to work, we were expecting to wait all day for plumbing to come. Finding a plumber in SD is hard. These guys came suggested to me by a friend who is a general contractor. He has worked with these guys in the past and suggested them to me. I was able to get a hold of someone pretty easily. We need our house to be re-piped which is a decent sized job. They sent a guy named (I think) Jeremy out. He was nice, easy to talk through, we walked through everything and he said they would send me a quote. They never sent me a quote and I never heard from them. I can't speak as to the quality of their work but they didn't do what they said they were going to do. read more

A funny smell in my yard led to the discovery that a sewage clean-out cap had popped out, leading to all kinds of fun stuff popping out it, especially when a toilet was flushed. At least the incident didn't occur in the house. Pride Plumbing took my plea for help at 2pm, and at 6pm had a plumber, Jeremy, onsite. Jeremy quickly resolved the problem, snaking out a blockage about 30 feet away under the house. He then thoroughly tested the system to make sure flow was OK. Jeremy also pulled up pictures on his phone that he'd taken from scoping similar systems in order to explain what happens inside 40+ year old cast-iron sewer piping. I haven't ever had the opportunity to view a angioscopy video, but I'd imagine this is how an elderly patient's cholesterol-lined arteries would appear, and you're so happy I was able to provide an analogy without referencing a colonoscopy. Jeremy explained that the clean-out cap acts as a relief valve, so that in the event of a blockage, toilet wax seals and bathtubs don't relieve system pressure. Jeremy then voluntarily resolved a slow-flowing sink problem. $187 was definitely a great value for a quick, after-hours fix, especially when the service was so professional and friendly. Rob from Pride plumbing is a straight stone cold OG who knows his stuff!!! He came to replace a kitchen faucet, the faucet purchased was defective and would not pass hot water, cold worked fine. He let me keep the defective faucet temporarily so I at least had a working faucet with some water. Rob then left and got a new faucet, came back and changed out the defective faucet again, even though the defective faucet was obviously not his fault or issue! Absolutely amazing customer service and engineer. His methodical approach while the issue made the process seamless and efficient! I am overdue in writing this review. Pride saved our a**es over a holiday weekend when 3 of our businesses 6 toilets backed up and we got a snake stuck 75 feet down the clean out. We called several places desperate for help as our usually plumbing company was busy with another emergency. Pride was recommended to our business partner and they came out within an hour, unstuck our snake, cleared the drains and saved the weekend! This is a plumbing company you can count on for any job, big or small. I've used them 3 times now. Once to install all the plumbing for a shower and toilet in a new bathroom, another time to figure out a wall leak, and a third time to figure out a toilet leak. I haven't had anything to complain about all 3 times. What impresses me the most is the knowledge their plumbers have. Most plumbers in my area have never installed a wall hung toilet or worked with the very expensive TOTO bidet toilets. I've interviewed at least 7 other plumbing companies beforehand, and they all would charge double for working on these toilets just because it would require a more knowledgeable plumber, and still, that plumber would never have worked on one of these toilets before. There was one hiccup the last time Pride came out, which Pride resolved in a very professional matter. The first plumber that came out wasn't very experienced with my toilet and while moving it, scratched my travertine floors. He owned up to it, and at first, when he told me I needed to pay for the plumbing job and someone at the office would get back to me to resolve this tile problem, I was a bit weary. But sure enough, Pride came through. They worked with a stone company to fix the tile in my bathroom, and now it looks good as new! Jenna and Derek were very friendly and worked with me and the stone company in resolving this without giving me any trouble. I think it says a lot about Pride that they would own up to the mistake and go above and beyond fixing it. I do remember with my second time using them, they offered a customer loyalty discount. They got rid of it now, but that was pretty sweet! Even without it though, I will still use Pride with every plumbing issue I have from now on. They've got me as a customer for life! read more

Our home is almost 50 years old, and we sprung a significant leak under the floor of our shower. Due to the age of our home and plumbing, it was time to have the plumbing replaced throughout the house. We were recommended Pride Plumbing from Advanced Leak Detection, the folks who located the leak. Pride plumbing assigned Jared Teed who was the primary plumber and his assistant, Jacob Pennock. I decided to write this review because of the amazing job both plumbers performed in our home. They were not only courteous and friendly, but very hard workers and did a very meticulous Job leaving no room for error. Can't say enough about the integrity by which they performed the job.
