I had this team install an automatic leak detector in March 2025, and while the system is in, the experience was disappointing. The final invoice came out ~$1895, which was $700 over the original estimate. While I understand the plumber had to cut out and replace some existing parts to make the system work, that's a significant jump in price to not be warned about beforehand. Additionally, the cleanup was a bit lacking as I had to pick up some trash left on my lawn afterward. The work itself seems okay, but the lack of communication regarding the price increase is a dealbreaker. Had I known the final cost would be 35% higher than quoted, I would have gone with another company. I would advise to consider other companies before choosing this one. My home insurance company forced me to hire a licenced plumber, otherwise I would've done this myself as its a simple job if you do some research before hand. read more

Called them for a bathroom pipe leak, Rich came right away to assess the problem. After diagnosing, he told me what exactly needs to be done and the cost which I agreed, he said a technician would come to fix the problem. After 1.5 hours. Brandon came and started working on the repair - cut out the drywall and replaced 3 copper pipes and fitting. He needed to remove the toilet bowl which he returned after the job's done, cleaned everything - was happy with the service and the leak was gone. After a week, Israel the drywall guy, finished the project and it was back to the way it was before, he placed caulking at the bottom of the toilet. First, I want to say that I made an extra effort to log into YELP to write this review via my computer, and not my phone. I wanted to put in the effort, just like Touchdown Plumbing did for me. We had a main sewer pipe backup this last Saturday. The toilet began to bubble and then filthy dirty water started to rise up and wouldn't go down. I was so worried on who to call, since it was the weekend. I am so glad we Yelped Touchdown Pluming. Honestly, I looked at other companies but the reviews were just mediocre. Some companies were closed and others gave us an only evening availability and that was way to long to sit around without water and smelly sewer in the downstairs bathroom. Richard responded right away to the call and gave us a smaller window to work with. Brandon was the tech who came out and he was fantastic and very straightforward and honest. Turns out there was a tree root growing into our pipe underneath the ground. We would have never known this, without paying the extra for the camera service that looks inside the pipes. If you have never done this before, and want to get to the problem of what is really happening, I highly recommend this! Brandon came back a few days later to dig up the root and replace the damaged pipe. Brandon followed through with his word and did exactly what he promised, even coming back later that evening to give us a cap replacement. It was a full on touchdown with touchdown plumbing. These guys are legit. I called them because I was having an issue with my water pressure. Had a previous company come in and install a pressure regulator and it worked for a little bit but then it came out of adjustment. I contacted the company that installed it and they came to look at it. They said they needed to come back to replace the part and that they would be back the next day. They came back the next day and they had the wrong part. Not happy with that answer we contacted the owner and he showed up to adjust the pressure regulator but what he ended up doing is relieving all the Pressure And turned it all the way down so I could barely get any water pressure. They said they'll be back in three days to fix it and that was not acceptable answer for me. Today I contacted touchdown plumbing and explain the situation to them and they were on it. They were at my location within a few hours and they assess the situation really quick. They realize that the owner of the previous company adjusted the pressure incorrectly. He came in adjusted everything and it works absolutely perfect now. Amazing customer service and very knowledgeable. Rich Sr replied quickly and gave me a modest quote. His son (also named Rich) came out and was professional, quick and fixed the offending pipe in our kitchen. He also noticed that while turning back on the water main that our water pressure was high (which can cause further damage in the pipes). So he offered to change the water valve and also the main valve to the shutoff (our house in 53 years old so most of the valves/connectors are old). They also gave us credit towards to the valve change out against what we would pay for the pipe repair. They're a great local, small business. I had sewer issues in the past due to roots, but always just had somebody come hydro jet. Figured it was time to address it, so ended up digging up and exposing my sewer main so I could have a plumber come fix it. I had Touchdown come out and they told me it would be $300 for a scope to see if more would need to be dug up and fixed. I said "will that be deducted from the job?" They said yes, so I said let's do it. They replaced what I had exposed and scoped AFTER and told me they would need to dig several more linear feet and replace it another day. (even though they could of scoped before and told me the extra work that needed to be done as there was a gaping hole put in the main from a previous plumber, who had no issue scoping all the way down). In the end I was still charged for scoping on top of the job. I expressed my distaste, but he tried to gaslight me saying he didn't say that. Guess he didn't care because that's money in his pocket. They also put the 45 degree clean out sitting RIGHT on top of the gas line running to my house when there was another 3 feet in both directions they could of put it. Seems like nothing good can come out of that in the future. I don't know if that's code but maybe the owner can respond? I'm giving an extra star because they have decent prices and from previous experience the owner seems like a good dude, but get a written quote from them in the beginning to avoid this nonsense. read more

We called Touchdown Plumbing because we had two dripping showers and a toilet handle that was pointing up. They gave us an arrival window for our appointment. An hour after the arrival window closed, we called the office and they said the plumber told them he was running late. They said that he should have called us too which he did after we spoke to the office. It took him took 4 hours to do the repairs and cost $895. He told us there was no warranty on the work, but if there was a problem to call him directly and not the company because he guaranteed his own work. The next day we realized that he had reversed the hot and cold water in one of the showers and it was still dripping. We texted him to report the problems. He came back out in his personal car with a woman sitting in the front seat. He worked for a couple of hours and took at least one trip to the hardware store. He seemed so over his head that my dad asked him if he'd ever worked on a Moen before and he said he hadn't. That was worrying since they are a leading faucet brand. He eventually told us he was going to have his cousin come out to help. His cousin replaced the knob in one of the showers and stopped the dripping, but before he left I tested it and the hot/cold were still reversed. He said that was just how it was built which was untrue. Clearly this person had no idea either. We had to explain that he needed to take off the handle and rotate the cartridge 180. He did that and finally it was fixed. The next day, we saw that handle in the other shower handle had been put on upside-down, and the toilet handle was back to its weird position. We texted the original person again who said he was sending his cousin again, but after waiting an hour or so, we told him not to bother and that we were calling the office. The office was apologetic. They sent someone out that day and we haven't had any issues since. They told us that some of their "young guys" exaggerate their abilities. That may be true, but it is the company's responsibility to vet them. Had they shadowed this person on a few jobs, they would have quickly found that he was not a competent plumber. While the company made it right in the end, I believe they are irresponsible by not verifying the abilities of the people they hire. I would not trust them with future plumbing work. read more

We've had an issue with our cast iron plumbing for years. Every time we unclogged it, it'd been a temporary fix. It finally got to the point where we could not unclog it ourselves. Rich came over the next morning and had a plan of action within 30 minutes. He suggested digging holes in areas that were going to create less restoration. Thank goodness because we had just installed new flooring. Our other issue was that we had a planned vacation a few days later so we couldn't oversee any of the work. He was ok with it and assured us his employees have worked in similar situations before by letting themselves in, closing up and making sure the dogs were taken care of. We trusted Rich right away due to his personality and his knowledge; we didn't feel the need to get other quotes or 2nd opinions. Unfortunately, once they broke into the foundation they found that other services would be needed. Rich texted with details, pictures and suggestions. We didn't feel pressure to proceed but understood it was best to get everything fixed since the plumbing was already exposed. By the time we got back from our week vacation, we had new plumbing. They spent the next couple days restoring and we got to meet his crew. They were all very professional and consistently working. They greeted us when they arrived and updated us when they left. Once the job was fully complete, it's like they weren't even here. My 72 year old mother in law dog/house sitted while we were gone. Her review: they helped with the dogs (4) and helped take out the trash on trash day. They updated her daily and showed her the new plumbing being ran underground. She said it was really cool to see. OMG! I am so so glad I found this company though a neighbor. We had a scary clog in our home and called a few different vendors. Some weren't available immediately and some seemed unfriendly on the phone. I got in touch with Rich and he was super helpful in sending someone over within the hour! Well our old house decided that the plumbing needed to be fixed, so we tore out the kitchen and front yard to replace a sagging pipe due to defective grade. It was backing up and cause damage inside the house. Our insurance covered it thank god and after searching for the right company we found TDP. Not only were they 1/3 cheaper then the big name(Rooter Hero-rooter rip off) they are local and family owner and awesome. Rich came to the house did the inspection and moved on to the work. Him and his team kicked ass in 5 days and had the kitchen ripped out and pipe replaced and working great. He was communicative, professional and made the whole thing so much less stressful then it could have been. We recommend this company 1000% percent!
