update 8/12/26 Edy is a refreshing find, honest, friendly, courteous, and a straight shooter. I've used him in the past to hydro jet my drains, and his pricing was the best I could find. He always has a great attitude and goes the extra mile. Today, he came out for a toilet that kept clogging. Rather than immediately jumping to the more expensive hydro jetting option, he took the time to troubleshoot the problem and used a Milwaukee AirSnake. It worked perfectly, the toilet is running like new. He also fixed my garbage disposal and kitchen drains, and now everything is running like clockwork. His price was extremely fair, and the whole experience genuinely made my day. At a time when it feels like we're constantly overpaying for services, Edy is a rare find: skilled, honest, fair, and focused on actually solving the problem. He gets my highest recommendation. Because I lost my old plumbers number when I googled Baird's drain service this number came up... tried to say it would be $600 to fixed a clogged kitchen drain. Then finally said they would "snake" the drain for $125. Which is a total rip off. This company is posing as an other family owned business and it's not right! I called Baird Drain Service from what I thought was their website but E drains showed up. They use a reputable family business name on their website (turns out Baird has no website). The tech told me his boss bought Baird Drain Service. I tracked down the real phone number to Baird and they cleared it up. No one bought their company. Edrains quoted me $150 but charged me $250 which they would refund from the $2500 quote for repairs the next day. When I cancelled the repairs for the next day they still charged me $250. When a company misrepresents itself from the start, how can we trust them to be honest? read more

After owning homes and income properties for nearly 50 years in San Diego, I have had my share of repair bills and unwelcome surprises. What we thought would be a quick toilet unclog turned into a 2.5-week full sewer line replacement. Edy performed a thorough camera inspection and showed us clear photos and videos of our disintegrating cast iron pipes. They seem to be buying Google Adwords for a competitor, Bairds Drain Service and stealing his business. Wow! Male manager became hostile when calling in to discuss the bait and switch and threatening legal action if I continued to call (all I wanted was a receipt). Come on, that's poor service folks. We have used E-Drains on several occasions here in Mt. Helix (91941) and have been very happy with each service. Never felt any pressure and always got to see what was happening. Edy or his team not only honored their warranty on my sewer line, but also showed up at 7am on a Monday morning to deal with a clogged toilet, knowing my senior parents and family would be up and in need of the bathrooms in the morning. The E-Drains team responded same day to a plumbing emergency that started on a Saturday when I was on vacation and my housesitter was in the house. So deceptive!!! Because the owner is personable and pleasant, you ALMOST don't realize he charged 2 1/2 times the going community standard to change out 4 ft of piping and clear away very minimal sewage - so small that an odor was not evident. This was literally THOUSANDS of dollars more than usual and customary practice. He wanted over $600 to snake a line - it was after hours, with a fast response time, but this was just the baseline rate!!!! I subsequently had 20 ft of piping replaced by another reputable plumber for less than E-Drains charged for 4 ft.!! Beware of E- Drains!!! I suppose he has to pay for all that new equipement and Mercedes truck! *** Edited after owner's response : I'm sorry you feel the need to lie. I had two separate, independent, experienced, well- thought of, and LICENSED plumbers both look at the job your company did. They independently both came to the same conclusion and results. I hired one of them for the remainder of the job since you were going to charge me $2000 more than either of them To complete the job. At NO time EVER did anyone encourage me to get three bids. Obviously this is good practice, but when you have no working toilets, you're kind of held hostage timing wise. read more

Main drain clog/clean out. Prompt arrival and drain cleaning. Over priced compared to other services and the 1 year warranty written on my receipt was verbally terminated by a phone call after they returned one month later to clear another clog. I emailed and requested written warranty termination rather than a phone call and never received a response. There are other drain service companies that do the same work for less than a third of the price. read more

The tech came out quick on Monday morning (scheduled on a Saturday evening) for a clogged shower drain. He snaked for approximately 90 minutes, to no avail; he then left for another job. I called the manager and he asked if they can return on Wednesday. I demanded that the job be completed that day. The tech returned later that afternoon with an air snake to unclog the drain. Therefore, I was satisfied. However, the fact the tech left earlier and initially asked to return two days later was troubling. Overall price of $125.00 was very reasonable. read more

We initially had a different company come out to do the plumbing a few years back, and they ended up leaving a hodgepodge of PEX and copper piping in our wall. They couldn't solder to save themselves, so they kept on cutting the supply line out of the slab shorter and shorter, until they eventually had to resort to PEX using Sharkbite connectors. I reached out to see anyone can do a quick replacement with copper tubing, and Edy from E-Drains was the first to respond. He came out same day (Friday) to take a look. Monday late AM, Edy and Rey came out and the pipe was fully upgraded to copper within few hours. The short pipe out of the slab proved challenging, but their ingenuity and craftsmanship proved far superior than my first company! This is the second time we needed to call them. Our main line backed up again (see review from 3/2023). They were able to come out and clear it and also diagnose it. The old cast iron line was compressing from old age. By the next day they were able to replace the entire cast iron portion of the main line. Had a great experience having Edy from E-Drains help me with my clogged kitchen sink. It's very difficult finding a company you can trust. I previously had three other plumbing companies come and try to fix the issue and none were helpful. Each time, each one of them would attempt to up charge me from the original quote and make excuses on why the job would be very difficult. I even had one plumber state the only way to fix the issue would be by making a hole in my drywall to have better access. Stay away from this company! They came to our house last month to solve a simple blocked shower issue. Said it was going to be $125. The guy ran the cable through and wasn't able to unclog it. He was very certain that hydro jetting would work and solve the problem quickly. He guaranteed us this would work for a much greater amount of money. It didn't work. He said that unfortunately he had to tear down our wall and place a clean out in for a few thousand dollars. At that point we told him we will get a second opinion and speak with the office about payment because our shower was still clogged. The next day we had a different plumbing company come in and solve the issue with a cable in about 15 minutes and it cost us less then $200. We called e-drain to tell them about their plumber who tried to scam us into a huge plumbing operation instead of solving a quick and easy problem, but they did not get back to us. Now, a month later they are demanding money for a made up job that they never resolved or completed. Their manager Monica is super rude and unprofessional. Worst service ever! read more
