Had a great experience having Edy from E-Drains help me with my clogged kitchen sink. It's very difficult finding a company you can trust. I previously had three other plumbing companies come and try to fix the issue and none were helpful. Each time, each one of them would attempt to up charge me from the original quote and make excuses on why the job would be very difficult. I even had one plumber state the only way to fix the issue would be by making a hole in my drywall to have better access. Edy and his team quickly came in and got to work and were able to fix the issue under 20 minutes. They also stand behind their work and gave me one year warranty. I can't thank them enough and would only book them for any future issues or projects. read more

Stay away from this company! They came to our house last month to solve a simple blocked shower issue. Said it was going to be $125. The guy ran the cable through and wasn't able to unclog it. He was very certain that hydro jetting would work and solve the problem quickly. He guaranteed us this would work for a much greater amount of money. It didn't work. He said that unfortunately he had to tear down our wall and place a clean out in for a few thousand dollars. At that point we told him we will get a second opinion and speak with the office about payment because our shower was still clogged. The next day we had a different plumbing company come in and solve the issue with a cable in about 15 minutes and it cost us less then $200. We called e-drain to tell them about their plumber who tried to scam us into a huge plumbing operation instead of solving a quick and easy problem, but they did not get back to us. Now, a month later they are demanding money for a made up job that they never resolved or completed. Their manager Monica is super rude and unprofessional. Worst service ever! read more

Very responsive, curteous and quick to solve the problem. Edy got right to work and found the problem. He offered a couple of options for repair and did a great work. I will definitely call them again. read more

Got a message right away. They had Eddy come and see the situation and gave me a quote, he gave me a discount for that quote. He and another worker came back in a couple of hours and fixed the needed repairs. Great job. read more

Had a clogged bathroom sink and toilet. Eddy showed up same day, cleaned out the drains and even cleaned the toilets (better than my teens!). :) read more

Fantastic response time. Joel was courteous and professional. Drain cleaned at the price quoted in the time frame promised. Very satisfied customer here! We will use E-DRAINS again and again! THANK YOU! read more

It is hard to get good customer service and quality work these days but not with E-Drains. Found them on Yelp and between the companies who responded to my request for main drain issues, they were more communicative and up front with pricing which was fair. One they arrived, Eddie & Joel were very professional and communicated well during the entire process. Hopefully won't have any issues again but if i do, will def reach out to them. Thank you! read more

SCAM!! This is not BAIRDS - they say they're in La Mesa and they charged us $485 when Bairds, who we've used for years charges less than $100. I'm going to find out how to report these people. read more

Bait and switch! I called them with very clear concise instructions on the service I needed - snaking a main line from exactly here to here. They quoted me a decent price, $129, but then when the technician shows up in an e-drains truck he says he will only hydrojet it for three times as much! Furious, I call back to the company and then the manager for the company speaks with the technician and magically they can now snake it for the original price but the technician is very dismissive and says that he's not even sure if it will work or not. Do not use this company - I am totally regretting that I didn't check yelp before calling them! read more

PART 1: Because I've seen other reviews on here, I know that by leaving a negative review I am going to get a response back from them on here that turns this whole situation into E-drains being the victim somehow... BUT I feel like I need to share my experience of how this company tried to scam me to warn any future potential customers and maybe save someone from giving them their business. I don't like to leave bad reviews but sometimes they are necessary to make sure companies get held accountable. On Nov 10th 2022, I sent out a request through Yelp for estimates for plumbing services and got a response from E-drains. They quoted me $485 for hydrojetting services with a camera inspection and was able to send Edy out to me within the next hour. I was very happy with the price, speed of their response and availability so booked this appointment slot. They also seemed to have good reviews when I glanced at their Yelp page. (Now that I have dug a little deeper I have seen the bad ones and suggest you all read those ones too!) Edy was at my house for a total of 26 minutes. In those short 26 minutes, he ran his camera down my drain and said he discovered a collapsed pipe. I'll be the first to admit, I know nothing about plumbing, so I took his word for it as he is a hired plumber working for a licensed plumbing company. He showed me on his monitor and he explained what he was showing me. He then marked two spots in my driveway with flags and said it was a 15 foot collapsed pipe that needed to be replaced so he would have to tear up my driveway to get to the damaged pipe, replace the pipe then fix the driveway. He quoted me $3200 for the job. Since he was unable to complete the hydro jetting job, he said my total for the day would be 10% of the quoted $3200 total. I explained I wasn't the homeowner and couldn't get ahold of her at the moment and he said it was fine and to just pay that $320 now and I could just call him later. At this point, I should have just asked to pay for the camera services he provided... but I was so overwhelmed by how quickly everything was being thrown at me considering I thought I just had a clogged drain. And my plumbing issue that was going to cost $485 instantly increased to $3200. I gave him a check for the $320 and took my quote to give to the homeowner and he was on his way. Part 2 and 3 are in my pictures... word limit is up! read more

E-DRAINS - Part 3 of my experience - Plumbing Near Me - La Mesa, California

Very unscrupulous business - BUYER BEWARE! Eddie, the tech, charged me $550 for a simple drain snaking and video of my main line. He quoted almost $12K to replace my main line and claimed that he would work with the City because they had to dig up the alley. He then called me several times that day to pressure me into making up my mind. I contacted 2 other reputable licensed businesses, both of whom did the camera work for free and their quotes were under $6K. Further, both companies and my licensed general contractor said the work did not require digging in the alley and that E-Drains was trying to take advantage of me. I'm out almost $600 and disgusted by Eddie and E-Drains attempt to con an older female. I'm filing a complaint with the BBB and CA State Contractors Board and strongly encourage others to NOT use this company. read more

Alejandro has been taking care of our home's drain systems since we recently bought it. Alejandro never delays and stays on the task site until it is completed. If you need to remodel your bathroom or have plumbing issues, I highly suggest E Drains. read more

We were very satisfied with E-Drains service. Our main line was recently snaked by a different plumber. After viewing the drain later during a pipe inspection, we realized we would need further work done or it would most likely clog again. We therefore scheduled a free hydrojetting quote from E-Drains We are so glad we did! When the technician Edy was starting to open the trap to insert the camera it started leaking. Turns out the main line already clogged again after a little over a month! We can't tell you how relieved we were that Edy was here to help us fix the problem immediately. His calm, friendly demeanor made a stressful situation so much better. He was very accommodating, rearranging his schedule to make sure he addressed our issue right away. He even took an extra step to disinfect the areas where some sewage leaked a bit into our yard and under our house. Overall, they provided really good service at a reasonable price. read more

Terrible! SCAM!! Had a clogged drain in the kitchen. The plumbers ran the water for 20 seconds and quoted me $690 to hydro jet. They would not even consider unclogging with a snake. What a rip off! They did a great job on my house. I had a leaking pipe and they suggested opening the outer part of my home. I was initially anxious but was quickly put at ease. The finished product was as if nothing had happened. Hilario and Rey did an amazing job!! But if I do, E-Drains will be my first and only company to fix the problem! read more

First I want to address the poor reviews. None of them had anything to do with work quality. By the way it reads, I think one of them is from a competitor. And The other is about Insurance issues AND we all know how dealing with insurance just plain SUCKS. My plumbing issues began like this. I had dirty water rising in both the tub and shower. And our toilets started to clog. I contacted 3 other plumbers before E-Drains. It was late in the day and no one was able to come until the following morning. When I contacted E-Drains they said 15 min and WHAM, in 15 min they arrived. I was greeted by a very pleasant young man named Edy. He quickly diagnosed the problem and started fixing it right away. I recorded a video of his camera traveling from house to street. This house was built in the 70's and it has very old, corroded pipes. and he recommended that we replace the line that leads to the street. While working, I had a very revealing conversation with Edy. While I found out that this 24 year old man OWNED this company. He told me how he and his wife mortgaged everything and opened this business just before COVID began. During the past 3 years they have worked very hard to provide excellent service, and create a reputable name and following in this industry. I applaud their efforts and I Recommend E-Drains whole-heartedly. I wish I could give them 100 stars. He gave me a 1 year guarantee on the old drain pipe cleanout. And also a quote on replacing that pipe, which he will be doing for us very soon. WELL DONE!!! read more

This company is ripping off the good name of George Baird Drain Service. Absolutely despicable.

Eddie diagnosed our plumbing issue within seconds. He and his team used hydro jets to break up a huge block in our pipes and hydro jetted all the other pipes in our house as well. Price was mid to low end of the going rate for hydro jetting. The blockage was tougher to remove than expected, but Eddie did it all with patience and a smile on his face. Highly recommend E-Drains! read more

We had a toilet that got blocked every few weeks and finally had a few people come take a look. Ahmad from E-Drains was one of the few available on a Saturday at no extra cost which was a plus but his knowledge of what was going on put E-Drains above the other companies that came out. After fixing the initial problem, he noticed a couple other things that could cause future problems and we ended up fixing those as well. I honestly feel he has helped us avoid a ton of issues down the line. Highly recommended!!! read more
