I come here everytime I'm in the area because it is the only dunkins around. Normally, I don't have an issue, but the last two times have put me off. The majority of the counter help are polite, but there are a few whom are rude to the other workers and customers. I came here during the power outage when they were extremely busy. Ordered food, coffee etc. The sandwiches were ice cold, but the croissant toasted, as though they didnt throw the egg etc in the micro long enough. No big deal, I understood that they were busy and stressed, so we ate them without complaints etc. During this, one of the kids behind the counter was raising his voice to the other workers..telling them how to do things etc. He also had done this the last time I was in. So, I think its pretty common. I started drinking one of my coffees and it tasted so watery that you could tell that someone had brewed it with used grounds. Once again, no big deal, someone forgot to change the grounds during the rush. Mistakes happen, but it was literally undrinkable. I went up to the counter explained that the coffee didn't taste right, that it was extremely watery and asked for a replacement. I wasn't nasty, (cause truly I understood how busy they were)I showed them my totally filled coffee ( I wasn't trying to get something for free). She calls the guy over who says , pretty nastily "do you even know what its suppossed to taste like? You did get 10 milk in it" I replied, " I'm from New England, so ya, I know what is supposed to taste like". The girl next to him says that they can rebrew me one , which I then explained thats all I wanted in the first place. Honestly what was the coffee? 50 cents? I had just spent over $30 on coffee, food and ground coffee, would I make something up for $3? If my Boston accent didn't give it away that "I know what it should taste like". Maybe my very specfic it tastes watery ( not milky) would give a clue. Or possibly the fact that most of the adults in the world know what coffee "is suppossed to taste like", for crying out loud its not a rare, gourmet food. I'm done with this place. Your donuts are not good and you only hire rude teenagers to run your store. Today I went in here and you have installed a touch screen kiosk so you can only hire one teenager instead of two to run your franchise. I don't want to order from a robot, where I have swipe thorough 20 screens to find what I want. Today I came in here and instead of being greeted I was told I could go ahead and order on the touch screen by a rude teenager sweeping the floor. I declined to order on touch screen and rude teenager came over and started grabbing my order without washing her hands and clearly mad. Seems like a food sanitation violation to go from cleaning floors to grabbing orders. Then she gave uneven number of munchkins 6 chocolate and 4 glazed because she is mad, not what asked for. Hire some friendly folks and you will do a lot more business. Compared to other Dunkin's your donuts are poor taste, so plus the rude employees that's it. read more

Ok. I love a good doughnut and Durkin's has some decent ones there. However, I have never been so disappointed and annoyed at a place like Dunkin's than I was today. I arrived at the store and found there were 2 other people ahead of us. While we waited in line, it literally took 14 minutes for the person at the register to take the order of the two other people. As we stood in line, 12 other people came to the store and were now in line behind us. I was able to place my order for three doughnuts and two drinks. A Mocha and a Carmel Macchioto. While this was all going on, the two other employees at the store were literally just standing there talking about a bunch of non work related stuff and laughing and giggling. One even talked about how, presumably, her boss wanted to try to fire her the day before. A store full of people, standing around talking crap and not even pretending to care that this is a place of business full of paying customers. As we waited for our drinks, which ultimately took another 10 minutes to make, a man walked in and asked the person who was making our drinks a question. The worker literally stopped what she was doing and started helping this man that obviously came in after the large crowd. I looked and saw that both of my drinks were just sitting there, waiting for a top to be put on them and handed to me. Nope. Took roughly 6 minutes before she came back and simply handed them over to me. We got in the car and started to drive away. As I took a sip of my mocha, it literally tasted like a heated up cup of water. Absolutely no flavor or taste to it, whatsoever. I was utterly pissed off, to be honest. The staff, with the exception of the gal at the register, was completely unprofessional and completely oblivious to customer service. How this place manages to stay in business is beyond me. Almost 30 minutes to order and get our items despite only having two people in front of us. Not ok. I could not ever recommend this place to anyone at this point. As for DD, I would say it is not as good as the old winchels and even some of safeway donuts are better, but they have a real nice selection if you are in the mood for kid donuts. I'd probably give them 3 stars but the east coasters make me wanna puke, so I toss an extra star in there. Glad they are here, a way better place to coffee up then big bucks. My mother-in-law had the RUDEST interaction with an employee by the name MELISSA. Not only was my mother-in-law talked down to by another customer, but MELISSA joined in and told my mother-in-law "don't be rude to my customers" (last I checked, my mother-in-law was a customer). As someone in the service industry, that is totally unprofessional and disrespectful. And yes, we understand that around the holidays wait times are longer and people are on edge, especially during the times we are in. But rudeness is not an excuse. Especially from an employee. Like the piece of trash I am, I somehow felt the need to grab a doughnut after eating a burger and chocolate shake at The Habit Grill. So I lumbered over to Dunkin' and purchased a Bavarian creme. It was good. I mean... it was a doughnut... what do you want me to say? It was a good doughnut. The most interesting part of the transaction was that there was no transaction. I said I purchased the doughnut but I guess that was not true. The kid behind the register was real nice, and as I handed him my card said: "it's fine". I made sure to clarify and have him re-iterate his stance. He gave us our doughnuts for free. He said "we have to throw all these doughnuts out at the end of the night anyways". I thought "yes. And I was going to pay you for one..." Of course it was nice getting a free doughnut. But I do question whether it was his decision to make to not charge for the doughnuts. At a certain point a customer actually bears some moral responsibility for ensuring they are paying for a good they receive. So I made sure to clarify, but I could think of no reasonable way to change the nature of the transaction. Please don't ask me what employee gave the doughnuts away for free. Not greasy donuts like most donut shops. I have had the Bavarian cream, sugared raised, lemon filled and jelly filled. Sooo good! The decor reminds me of Winchell's back in they day. Typical donut shop. Love it. Oh. The coffee is good, albeit strange that they put sugar and cream in for you...making it overly sweet. It's good, and the coffee stands up to the cream...but I would rather add that myself. Why oh why did I have to notice Dunkin' Donuts is now in Northern California??? I love Dunkin' Donuts as I am an East Coast transplant and definitely go every time I'm back in Philadelphia. I was driving in Petaluma last week and suddenly I saw the familiar orange sign. I screeched so I can make a right-hand turn into the parking lot. I walked in and was like a kid in a candy store because Dunkin' Donuts is my place! Now that I know it's only 15 minutes away, I'm very concerned. I can see myself sneaking up here to get their delectable chocolate chip muffin with the hard crunchy sugar on top! I have to admit, I was a glutton and ordered two chocolate chip muffins. I ate one of them in the parking lot and the other one I brought home for later. Later turned out to be 20 minutes later when I was on my way home. The worker at the counter was so kind! It's very clean and I would not hesitate to go back and try the strawberry frosted doughnut I used to love so much. Kind of wishing I never saw this place, but am kind of glad that I did! There's one employee here that is a nightmare. He/she (I'm not sure what their pronoun is) was slamming things around and dropped probably 30 f-bombs in a 10 minute window, in an establishment with kids and elderly, sitting there being subjected to this for a donut. They go "into the back" and think we can't hear every complaint and curse, but it's blasting to everyone. I don't go here a lot, but they've been there for at least a month, and every time I'm there they're loud and unruly, and short with customers. We stopped in on Valentine's evening with the family to try it out. There was one person ahead of us, but there was no clerk. Then once the clerk asked for her order, she said she needed to make a call. The clerk waited for 5 minutes while she took the call. He wouldn't serve us while waiting for this person. The medium-sized iced coffee is really good for only 1.50. We also like the little breakfast egg & cheese "tacos" which are two for $2. Tasty! Wish the harsh fluorescent lighting was not quite so bright. Also, the donut flavor signs could be in bigger print, they are hard to read. They just want to ring you up for your coffee and donuts as fast as they can. Three days ago I went I'm with my wife and order an ice coffee with vanilla and some cream. They gave me decaf i coffee with hazelnut... I ask the guy is this mine and showed him the receipt with the number on it and he said "yes." RECEIVED A FROZEN BREAKFAST SANDWICH! Ordered online picked up in store first they forget the breakfast sandwich, I then come back to grab the sandwich. I take a bite and it's FROZEN inside frozen egg, frozen cheese, croissant bread very lukewarm heated up. I then complain to them and they blame it on their oven and because they are so busy when there was 1 CUSTOMER in the store. It is not the first time my breakfast from THIS Dunkin is not HOT! I really want to like Dunkin. They have different types of coffee some cheaper then Starbucks and donuts. Every time I go there the staff is unfriendly. They all look like they hate their job. They greet you with a frown I'm not sure why but maybe the management is not doing a good job to support the team? The last time I went, I ordered a hot mocha and two crullers. What I received after a really long wait, was a huge iced mocha that was almost too large for one person. I told the gal that I ordered a hot mocha drink and she said you did? Yesterday from this posting, we stopped by for coffee around 10:30 PM. All the lights were on but the open sign was not illuminated. We didn't if they were open. We went in. It turns out that they were closed and the employee was in the process of locking up. Instead of turning us away the gentleman turned on one of the machines. He made us one of the best cups of coffee we have had in recent memories. This high rating is not only based on the flavor and quality of the coffee, but also the customer service. This is the worst location of Dunkin I have ever experienced. Awful staff. Incredibly rude to customers and were speaking poorly to EACH OTHER in front of everyone. They are terrible at making coffee. Every single time they make it wrong. Our hot food was out in not even a minute (sausage egg and cheese on a bagel) and my coffee and the customer's before mine was taken by the people in front of us because they didn't tell them what the actual coffee was and just plopped them on the counter. I'm giving them 3 stars only because I've had great service, especially from David, every time I've come here. The donuts are really not as great as the NY DD, which is really disappointing. I have no idea why, but they pale in comparison. They have a raw dough like consistency and taste as if they're undercooked. The insides are way too chewy for me. The coffee is OK but I might just feel so disappointed about the donuts that I cant enjoy it as much. I do keep coming back. Sometimes I just do the donut holes. Those are much better. But I haven't enjoyed the Boston creme, chocolate glazed, old fashion, and sugar donuts like I used to. I was just in NY and had DD there so the difference was even more apparent. read more

I come here nearly every day to buy coffee, because i work at Friedmans. I went today at about 11:30 confused on why the app wasn't working so that i could get my free medium iced coffee on Wednesday. Well it turns out they were switching the day to Monday and still hadn't taken down the signs within the store that show the change. Anyways i was granted the free coffee but after drinking it i realized it was not decaf.. i asked her about 3 times to make it decaf but she seemed to irritated with me about the situation to begin with that she just didn't bother. My wife and I were so excited to hear Dunkin Donuts finally opened in Petaluma. We stopped by there on a Saturday and there was a long line. At first we thought it would take quite a while to be served, but the line moved rather quickly. We noticed they still had a very good selection even though it was late morning. We decided to try the ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an English muffin, with coffee and of course, a donut! My wife chose the sugared raised donut, and I being a chocoholic, chose the double chocolate donut. The sandwich was very tasty. The coffee was nice and hot and delicious. Both of us really enjoyed our donuts. They were light and delicious. So far it was a very good experience. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back.......a lot! read more

I just stopped by the new Dunkin' in Petaluma and I was not impressed. We had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant with hash browns. It was ok, not great or even delicious. It was on par with McDonalds. I had the French donut which lacked the rich custard flavor of better donut shops. I also had a glazed donut which was heavy and the glaze was wet with the humidity. The old fashion was not crispy and was glazed (??). We have much better donut shops in Petaluma. I think I will stay with them. I will say the people are very nice and the place is clean. read more
