While the situation was frustrating, I accepted this as a reasonable compromise given the circumstances. However, when I arrived at the venue and opened the boxes, I discovered that the cannoli's they promised were missing. I immediately called to address the issue, but the staff was rude and unhelpful. The only resolution they offered was a small gift card, which did not make up for the inconvenience or the impact on the event. It's a good bakery, stuff is always fresh and the flavors in each of their cupcakes, muffins, breads, and other misc bakery items is present and forward. They know that they are good, and charge accordingly. Given that there's no direct competition in a 10 mile radius (and I would argue even past that 10 mile radius the pickings are slim) the price is justifiable for the quality you get. As someone who treks a lot around the state, I find that there are many bakeries that do similar if not better items for comparable if not lower prices. But to ask someone to drive 30-60 minutes just to get something a couple bucks cheaper that's tastes about the same? It's a hard sale. I will say that Luanne's is the best in that area of the state, not including the small boutique places that are well off the beaten path. I still come here for the view and ambiance, but I don't order much of their food.
