Let me tell you, the reason why I said it was like going to my mother's house was this place is culture at its finest for the Polish heritage I absolutely loved the Kielbasa and sauerkraut, and the pierogi were out of this world and you could tell they were homemade with love. The Golobki was good. If I said it was better than my mother's, there would be hell to pay! Serving containers of spicy mustard for the kielbasa, sour cream for the pierogi, and a beautiful horseradish sauce was for whatever your pleasure. This had a kick and it was amazing. The restaurant is super clean, and decorated with lots of thought. I loved the menu. The greeting we received when we walked in; even though it was 30 minutes before closing, was less than enthusiastic to see us... it was clear right off the bat that everybody behind the counter was far more concerned about having their key in the front door at 7:59 then they were delivering great food and service. The grinder was OK. The fried chicken was pliable, but a couple of the pieces we ordered were dried out and shriveled up from sitting too long. The slices of pizza that we ordered, the guy didn't even bother, warming them up. Just pulled them out of the pizza slice case and threw them into a box... either that or if he did attempt to warm them up, they must've already turned the ovens off, and they threw it into a cold oven. A word of advice for the management of this restaurant, if you want to be out the door by 8 PM, close your restaurant at 7 PM so nobody comes in and bothers you all while you're trying to clean. To be fair, if you're thinking about this restaurant as a great stop for lunch, I would still recommend it as the food is ordinarily pretty good (and fresh at that time ) I've eaten here several times and I've never been disappointed.
