Still good coffee, but not as great as before…read more I go to this specific coffee shop quite a bit. They do a good coffee, and they got a reasonable selection of baked goods. I'm removing a star because the standards seem to be slipping a bit. They switched their bakery and although recently they've been experimenting with their in house baking there's a notable difference between what they outsource and what they make in house. The in house stuff is significantly better in terms of quality and freshness, and although priced high they are usually worth the price. The outsourced items don't seem as fresh and it's hard to justify the prices. The coffee is still balanced between the earthy coffee and the house made flavors for their lattes. The experience has been a bit colder as of late, which is fine if you're grabbing a cup to go, but not if you intend to write some reviews while enjoying a cup. That coupled with the multiple times there's been equipment failures which forced me to go someplace else. I honestly cannot state this is worth the trek to try only because there's a chance you can't get coffee at the cafe. I think it's time for myself to trek for another place. For those who want a good cup of coffee, this place is still good for that. Focus on the house-made stuff, order to go, and enjoy.

This time, the desserts didn't really catch my eye. Many of the options appeared to be gluten-free, and visually they looked a little dry to me, so I decided to skip dessert. Going in I was greeted with a deli counter with pastries and the smell of fresh baked bread. The baker was curled up on a little rocking chair, cuddled in a blanket. I brought these home and had a little sampling with the girlfriend and the mom. Price was high, at about 24 for the 3 items. The quality is worth the price point, and it's a great but somewhat limited breakfast spot for the area. The honey provided the perfect natural sweetness, and there were plenty of whole pecans. It was a terrific alternative to your usual syrupy, heavy pecan pastry. Very tasty, and again, not too sweet. I actually did eat it as my breakfast, and i think it works very well as a breakfast item vs a dessert. The space was very bright.
