I visited this Starbucks on Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield, CT for Mother's Day with my family. While my Grande Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte was delicious--it reminded me of gingerbread cookies--the overall experience left a lot to be desired. We waited 30-35 minutes for just six drinks inside the store. Meanwhile, the drive-thru was slammed and seemed to be the clear priority. There were only three employees working when we arrived, and although a fourth eventually showed up, they strolled in casually as if the long lines inside and out weren't a concern. The shift manager was present, but the operation felt understaffed and unorganized. My brother manages a Starbucks elsewhere in Connecticut and was honestly shocked by the lack of urgency and service. The Starbucks on Silas Deane, in Wethersfield was the most convenient place to get coffee while in the area. While Starbucks has never been my favorite spot for coffee, sometimes beggars can't be choosers. There was a ridiculously long line for the drive through at this Starbucks, I wasn't going to go through that anyway. It wasn't very busy inside at all. I got a cold brew with vanilla cold foam. I noticed it was very filthy inside. There was trash on the floor, the tables were dirty with crumbs on them. It seems like no one cleans the tables after the customers. My coffee was absolutely delicious, it was very smooth, sweet and cold. I took it outside and sat at their one outdoor table, it was also filthy, but it was not as bad as their interior. While my coffee was delicious, I didn't enjoy the ambiance at all. read more

I used to be a regular back in 2024. Worst Starbucks ever. Always have the worst management. There's a new manager with no eyebrows that is terrible. I've seen good employees leaving/getting fired left and right and I do not blame them!!!! This place is dirty, flies and bugs every time I walk in. I came in one day to sit and do work and there was a roach under the table. DISGUSTING. Never coming here again. Poor employees that need to be ran by management that doesn't care about them. The Starbucks in Wethersfield,Ct on the Silas Deane Highway is always busy. Yes the drive through line is long but there is only so many coffee's one or two people can handle. Sometimes it seems like a long time but very few people order a coffee. Their orders are of several drinks and all are far from a coffee with cream. It sounds like a new language but they get them done and correct. Very nice staff. Yes very different staff at times but nice people. Great location. read more

I've swung by the drive-through here a couple of times in the past six months, but I've never wanted to spend my afternoon waiting, so I just leave. Again another top notch Starbucks in the Hartford Area! Although this is a fairly busy location, its employees are efficient and never seem to be ruffled by quantity of customers that come to this location. Sometimes I feel that this location should have a revolving door. However complicated the order, it is rare for me to have seen customers complain about the product. The store is on the small side but it boasts several tables and chairs as well as some more comfortable chairs for those who want to get the full Starbucks experience. There is also some outdoor seating but since it's located in a shopping plaza - there is not much of a view. This store gets an extra star for the fact that they have a drive thru - essential for those days when you are feeling lazy and don't feel like standing in line or (in my case) when you are running behind schedule and NEED that caffeine jolt. read more

Update to my previous review: whatever they did, it's working. I don't wait anymore more than 10 minutes in line in the mornings, and whoever the morning manager is, is super nice. One thing I will say though is Starbucks needs to start having ketchup packets for people who like putting ketchup on breakfast sandwiches/egg bites. Holy drive-thru! Service with a smile. Pure convenience. To be honest, I didn't know Starbucks even had drive-thrus?! I enthusiastically pulled up and was immediately greeted at the ordering station. Why yes of course I could have a grande peppermint mocha. And did I know it was 50% off for the holiday? (Yahtzee!) And of course I can also get you a cake pop - does birthday cake work for you? Given I had ordered what my dad affectionately calls a "frou frou" drink, I was mentally prepared to wait for my order, but I kid you not, the smiling barista had it ready in his hands for me the second I drove up to the window. I paid for and collected my "holy crap I've been holiday shopping for too long - I'd better treat myself" Starbucks treat over genuinely cheerful banter with the friendliest barista. I love this location! Very friendly staff of Barista's ready and happy to make your drinks. This location has a drive through also which makes it convenient to grab a cup of joe on your way to work in the morning. But, if you don't get there before 8:00am you might have to wait a bit in the line of cars.....but it does move just as quickly as the inside line of people. It is a decent size shop 6 or so tables inside to chat with you friends or work on your computer. And I love their new Oprah Chai Tea from Teavana. read more

I went through the drive through on a week day, after the morning rush - probably around 9:30am. The service was very friendly. I've heard things can get a little crazy at this location and wait times can be long or inventory can be short...so I'm sure things don't always go as smoothly as they did the morning of my visit, but I can't complain myself. read more

I love this Starbucks because: 1) it is a Starbucks and any Starbucks is 5 stars in my book! and 2) my fave people from my local Starbucks that closed have gone to work at this location! and 3) No matter how complicated my order may be, they always get it right, and they do it with a smile, and a happy heart! The pros: - This Starbucks is open until 10:00 - which is later than any other Starbucks around. I love that I can hang out here late on the weekends or go out to grab a drink after the Rocky Hill Starbucks is closed. - It has a drive thru! The con: - My drink is never as good here as it is from Rocky Hill. No matter what time of day it is I go here they seem to be out of apple juice to make the Caramel Apple Spice. Who does the ordering for this location? This is one of our go to locations for a morning beverage; usually tea for me and coffee for Anne. This a small location but it does have a drive through which we find that most visitors use. There is a little room for relaxing and enjoying but it may not be the best location for studying. I understand that this location recently renovated but have not had the chance to check it out yet. I am not a big fan of its location, a little difficult and tight to get to but it is visible and convenient and its the only one in Wethersfield. Staff are always friendly here and welcoming to visitors. This location always seems to be a little more active than others since being on the Highway. read more

Typical Starbucks. Plenty of room to sit inside, a few tables outside. Plenty of parking. Free WiFi. There is a drive-through. I typically opt to go inside because I think drive-throughs make me lazy, but once in a blue moon I try the drive-through. I take my coffee with just a splash of cream and unsweetened. As of late, the few times I have gone through the drive-through, my order has been butchered. I've usually just accepted it rather than turn around and drive back to go inside, but it serves as a reminder why I generally go inside and prepare my coffee myself. read more

My complaint is about Starbucks in Silas Deane, Wethersfield. Usually if Starbucks messes up my drink I kindly request for it to be corrected. If I'm paying $6 for a drink I want it done right. I wish I would've taken a picture of what I got as a caramel crunch Frappuccino. The bad thing isn't so much that they mess it up but the attitude when you ask for it to be corrected. This is a great location with a drive thru when you are in a hurry. The staff are genuinely friendly and always greet you with a smile. Just got to have that grandi capachino with a triple shot -gets me thru those days when you just want to stay in bed. Let's face it, it all depends on whether or not you are a fan of coffee or sugar water coffee. There is no comparison to Starbucks vs. Dunkin - Starbucks coffee is rich and definitely has a lot of spices with it, whereas Dunkin is pretty normal run of the mill. All that aside, the location is very prime within Wethersfield. The one issue i will say is if you do go at primetime in the morning, or lunch the poor baristas can definitely get overwhelmed with orders and things slow down. The line for the Drive-Thru can take a while, but if you are smart, you should be all set. The coffee is immaculate and they are always up to speed with their promotions and national based participation (PSL, etc) read more

They also helped me through some rough times while I was in the hospital, my wife would go to this Starbucks even though there was one next to the hospital. Good vibes travel! But every time I go to this location I'm greeted and can place my order right away. There is ample parking and the employees are always pleasant and make sure to get my order right. It's a Starbucks. It's an indulgence for the wallet as well as the gullet. I like it from time to time, but this is NOT an everyday thing for me. The drive thru is a plus though, it's one less time I have to un-pack and re-pack the kids for a small purchase. You've been to one, you've been to (basically) all of them.
