We have bad experience here today. One of waitress here could not understand mandarin but pretended she understood and took our order. When we informed her that she took wrong order, she said it was our fault and she was right. Had the food delivered not only was it earlier than estimated the food was still hot, the driver also called to verify the address but also gave a 5 minute notification. This restaurant is clearly enigmatic. I went there a week ago and had one of the best Chinese dinners I have ever had. The service was great and the food was great. I couldn't wait to return. A week later I went to the restaurant and had about the worst service I've ever experienced and very mediocre cuisine. I am truly baffled as to how they stay in business. As I look through the previous reviews I see the dramatic differences from experience to experience. This may explain my experience. I will not return. Follow up: as you can see below the manager of the Dumpling House wrote a message indicating he wanted to fix the problem. He didn't give me a way to contact him, so I called and asked to speak with him. The person I spoke with said he was not available and took my name and number and the reason for the call. A coworker suggested this restaurant for lunch and it was wonderful. The restaurant was comfortable and inviting. We had the freshly made dumplings, and hot and sour soup. Ate here tonight, and their dumplings are huge. We got the pan fried pork and cabbage dumplings, the steamed chive dumplings, and the green onion pancake. I've already mentioned that their dumplings are huge, larger than your average dumpling anywhere else (jeng chi, mknc, etc)--which can be a good thing or bad thing. That being said, perhaps they can work on their technique a bit. Our pan fried dumplings were burnt on the outside, slightly pink on the inside (and not in a good way), and very greasy. Instead of a big ball of filling, the filling fell apart as we ate it, very strange. We alerted the manager on duty, who took care of it in a professional manner. One star. We had fried pork and cabbage dumplings with the steamed house signiture buns the first time and it was fantastic. Also had oolong tea which I really enjoyed. Our second visit we ordered fried house signiture buns and my other half ordered hot and sour soup which she said was very good. This time we tried the Jasmine tea which was also very good. On our first visit we ate too much to try a dessert but this time we saved room for steamed creamy custard buns which were very tasty but I feel like it could use some type of dipping sauce or powdered sugar then again that may just be the American in me looking for extra sweetness. Overall we both enjoy the food and the staff is very friendly. My husband and I love ordering takeout from here, it's right down the street from our house. Our go to's are the jalapeño lo mein chicken (just the right kick) and any type of steamed dumplings! Both dishes were delicious, and I really enjoyed the hot and sour soup. The server was very friendly and helpful, and attentive. It is the worst management ever! I got there at 12:35 pm and ordered 2 kinds steamed dumplings. I waited for 50mins until 1:20 pm. I asked more than 2 times how long it would take after 30 mins waiting. I had been told they were making it for me. After 50mins I couldn't wait longer and I asked waitress to check if they forgot my order. She told me they didn't make it for me at all!! Is it a joke?! But the food (sweet and sour chicken) was delivered to the wrong table and sat it there for about 10-15 minutes while the waitress was disappeared!!! The people at the table did not touch the food and told the waitress that they didn't order the dish. The waitress just simply took the dish back to the kitchen and re-served it to our table and lied to us about the food!! She didn't realize we saw and knew what's going on!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
