LJ Kitchen is located inside the food court in Jusgo which is located in the beautiful city of Plano, TX serving up hot and fresh steamed buns, biscuits, crepes and many more tasty treats! We dropped by on a weekend during lunch and browsed the menus of all the food stalls located inside and came across LJ Kitchen. After looking at the pictured menus and viewing the menu we decided to purchase some pan seared steamed pork and scallion buns along with a char su biscuit. Ordering was simple by placing an order on the kisok provided and typing in your phone number and name. The kiosk had pictures along with the food item and price. We found a table and sat down and within 10 minutes our food was ready. We started snapping pictures instantly before we dug in admiring this beautiful creation. The char su biscuit was hot and flaky releasing steam into the air. The char su was tender and flavorful with hints of 5 spice seasoning of cinnamon, star anise, cloves, fennel, and peppercorns bursting into your mouth when sinking your teeth into it. the pan seared buns were the star of the show with the top side being seared and the bottom part steamed filled with moist pork and scallion meatball inside. The dipping sauce was a soy base with vinegar and paired perfectly with the dish. Altogether we enjoyed coming here eating the delicious food and are excited for our next visit! read more

Pretty solid northern Chinese food! They specialize in Tianjin food and one of the few places that does an authentic jianbing. It was good though it was lacking a little flavor and had a little burnt taste. The 'tofu brains', basically a savory silken tofu, was pretty delicious. This is a Tianjin chinese cafe hidden inside the Jusgo plaza's food court. The seating is spacious because it's shared with the food court. We ordered a Savory Tofu Pudding (豆腐脑). It was warm, savory, and delicious. There's chili oil at the counter if you want to add some. This place is actually my go-to when I need a savory tofu pudding comfort food. Ended up here for lunch one Saturday. Definitely a good choice. LJ is located in a medium sized food hall. I was really hungry and they were the counter I spotted when we walked in. I was instantly drawn to their beef noodle soup with the spicy sauce on the side. There was a slight language barrier but the lady who took my order was very nice. Ordering was quick and easy and they give you a buzzer to let know when your order is ready. Meanwhile, I went to order a mango green tea at another storefront. The food hall had several other Asian restaurants inside so there was so much to choose from. Family friendly space, with several tables for plenty to sit and enjoy their meals. LJ kitchen is in the jusgo food court near the edge near the door when you enter. Got the D7 the sesame noodle with meat. Not familiar with this dish but it's a cold noodle dish with a black sesame sauce. Ordered it with pork. Not much of a fan of it. The noodles were a bit dense. Maybe not my kind of dish. I was expecting a softer chew. The pork is not actually much pork at all. The A4 wonton noodle soup is probably the best thing we ordered. Comes with egg drop and and seaweed. Broth has good flavor and very soulful. Reminds me of my childhood. The pan fried buns are good as well but on the greasy side. Has a nice chew just not sure why it's so full of oil around the entire bun. They give you a sauce to dip in too. Don't miss that. That's the best thing we had. It's sweet vinegary and salty for the pan fried buns. The egg crepe B1 is ok. Lacks flavor. It has good texture. There are fried bits in there to provide textural contrast but didn't taste like anything. Overall would get the soup dishes; wonton soup and the pan fried pork and scallion buns. My first time visit to Legacy Food Court back in April of 2021, but I didn't stop at LJ Kitchen, My sister & mom got their food from here and after sharing with me, I was shocked at how tasty the food was. I got my food elsewhere wich I also enjoyed. She got the green leek pie, preserved egg and pork congee, and won ton soup with noodle's special. Since I enjoyed it so much I had to make a stop during my recent which was this past September. It was just my husband and I, We were in the mood for some comfort food so we just got an order of preserved egg and pork congee. Not only is this comfort food but also my favorite entree!! We never ate this for so long and it sure hits the spot! The price is so reasonable for all the items they have. Would you believe only $4.99! and the serving size is more than enough for 2. We really enjoyed this, I like that the preserved egg and pork is cut up tiny so its easier to chew. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is, I wish they could be more friendlier. I think its the language barrier when I asked for "shoyu" and chili sauce, they didn't understand me I have to learn to say soy sauce & also asked for extra utensil and bowl so I could share with my other half. I tried the Tianjin crepe in Dec 2019 in China and fell in love with it. Was surprised to see this offering item B1 and decided to give it a try. Due to pandemic, I had it to go knowing this will probably effect the crispiness of the fried bread wrapped into the crepe. I also ordered savory tofu pudding item A2. I like the original crepe but thought the flavor wasn't as strong as I expected. May have to order the one with beef next time. The tofu pudding was silky but one star off for lack of ingredients. There were usually preserved veggies and pork floss but none were present. Should have asked them what they put inside when ordering... l can't believe this place isn't more popular! Their food is amazing! We called in to pickup and it was ready in 20mins. The owner gave us a free matcha frap because we spent over $30. The portions are huge! Lots of leftovers for us to enjoy tomorrow 1) Lamb Soup with Vermicelli Noodles: I've never had anything like this. The soup has a delicate taste, and somehow they got the lamb just right - no gamey taste! Served with a side of a type of bean paste and white pepper sauce. We just added the sauce in and the flavors got even better. Love the peppery aftertaste. Highly recommend! 2) Green Leek (Chives) Pie (I included a picture of how it looks like inside): don't let the simple name fool you, this pie's texture was in between a good crepe and tortilla. Idk how they get that slight chewy texture in but it's wonderful. The pie is stuffed with green chives, glass noodles, minced pork/chicken, even some scrambled egg! This was the star of the show for us! 3) Teriyaki Chicken Burrito (I included a picture of how it looks like inside): the burrito wrap had green onions infused in it and again, that slight chewy texture The teriyaki chicken was flavored really well. Highly recommend this as well! 4) Pork and Green Onion Buns: someone else in this group described the texture of these buns to be in-between a regular bao and a dumpling, I agree! Around the third time ordering here- Every time as average as the last if not worse. Items tried: Tomato beef noodle soup, egg crepes, potstickers, and pan-fried pork buns. None of these are worth their price tags. ($10+ for an egg crepe?) Everything leaned toward bland. - Buns and dumplings are near hollow, lest for a sad, tough, overcooked meat filling with thick skins - Noodle soups are diluted and beef was dry from being obviously pre-cooked. They have the benefit of being the only restaurant in the food court with Taiwanese comfort food. read more

This place was unclaimed by owner, but it looked like it was authentic Chinese street food. So, I tried it. My impression was ... Great. I love street food rather than expensive fancy food, so this one is genuine. My background ... I was born in Japan and used to live in Taiwan and Japan, have traveled the mainland of China for weeks. The place was not outstanding, so I could find the place since there was no sign of LJ Kitchen. It is located at the east side of the supermarket and it is inside of the food court. You can find this restaurant right after you entered the food court, also you will see several other restaurants such as Asian fusion (Japanese), Korean etc. There are so many options you can choose in the menu, so it made me think for a while, but my order was handmade roll and green leek pie. (I wanted to try sweets though) Green leek pie was awesome and best. It contains the leek/chiense chives (jie cai), egg and glass noodle as well and flavor was so rich and outside crepe part was really soft, but flexible and has good thickness. Price and amount is also great and not as oily as I expected, so healthier choice. For me, this is one of the best street food. Handmade roll was okay, since the crepe part was too thick. If crepe part wasn't this thick, it would be much better, but I don't want much fried breadcrumb in it. (I don't like oily food, so I don't like you tiao which is deep fried bread stick) Anyway, there are many other options I can try, but I would say they are all worth trying. read more

This restaurant is located in the Food court at Legacy and although my boyfriend and I have been here a few times, this is our first time trying the food. Everything was sanitized and protected per the shelter in place for starters so A+. Everything looked delicious and had my Chinese boyfriend feeling nostalgic. We ordered the sesame oven rolls, crispy chicken nuggets, congee, hot soy milk and a chocolate smoothie. Sounds like a lot for two people but everything looked soooo good!! I recently discovered this place, and it quickly became one of my favorite dumpling place. This hidden gem is located in the food court next Jusgo supermarket. Their steamed pork dumpling is excellent. It is made to order with handmade wrap, and the filling of meat is full of flavor. Their secret dipping sauce adds a perfect blend of spice and sweetness to the dumpling. Shrimp and pork potstickers is also great. The wrap is thin and has a bit of crisp to it after pan fried. The filling is tasty with pork and one large piece of shrimp, and again the dipping sauce makes it heavenly. I have also tried their teriyaki chicken Lo Mien (stir fried noddle) in casserole pot. It's flavorful and portion is very generous when dined in. The friendly owner Mr Yang is always there to greet the customers and he takes pride in ensuring the quality of the food they serve. read more

I especially liked the chive bun, which was large and full of filling. The beef burrito was pretty new to us, which we enjoyed. The menu offers a wide variety of food, including dumplings, soups, street food, and rice bowls. It is located in the front of the food court on Legacy, along with its own separate dessert shop in the back of the same food court. At the dessert shop, there are offerings such as rolled ice cream and boba drinks. There are Asian markets closer to Central Dallas than this area at Parker Road and 75, but Jusgo Supermarket has the Beijing Street Food egg treat with a crunchy center. At least it did. "I have bad news," my partner told me soon after entering the grocery store. "That guy isn't here anymore." Since we didn't have that to savor, we headed to the nearby food court after filling the car with groceries. The day wasn't unlucky after-all. My hankering was relieved because a new booth, LJ Kitchen, features Beijing Street Food, including the crunchy, folded egg crepe. It was just as good as before, and maybe even better because now there are other offerings and a decent place to eat. We'll be back soon! read more

I tried the jian bing with beef, the vegetable pancake (chinese chives pocket), and the house-made soy milk. All were incredibly delicious. All three were the best I've had in town. The jian bing was light and crispy, and the marinated beef shank was tender and well seasoned. The vegetable pocket was freshly made for us. The pocket itself was crispy and not too oily.
