Morefan is located inside the Jusgo's food court in the lovely city of plano, TX offering a variety of noodle dishes and Chinese classic favorites at an affordable price! We came by on a weekend during the lunch rush and looked at the menu pictures with prices and name and decided to go with the braised pork belly noodles. As for the noodles we went with the thin noodles over the wide noodles. We simply placed our order on the kiosk and were given a buzzer that beeps and lights up when the food is ready. Inside the food hall there are about 7 restaurants that offer a variety of Korean, Chinese, Malaysian and sushi along with boba tea. Inside was a bit dim with tables and chairs to sit at. Soon our food was ready, and we couldn't wait to dive in since the dish was looking prestige! The dish came with a hefty serving of freshly pulled noodles and a hot broth with simmered slabs of pork belly beautifully garnished on top along with blanched baby Bok choy cabbage. The broth was light and amazing packing a punch of flavor from the braised pork belly that was simmered in a variety of 5 spice seasonings. I could definitely smell the aroma of cinnamon, star anise, cloves, and fennel and it helped with my allergies and sinuses. The pork belly melted in my mouth while the noodles were cooked perfectly al dente and a bit chewy. Altogether we enjoyed this noodle dish, and we would come back in a heartbeat again to try more dishes and of course reorder the braised pork belly maybe with wide noodles next time since it tasted amazing! read more

I have recently been paying more attention to regional Chinese cuisine. More fan dishes originated from Shaanxi Province of China. Located in the food court of Jusgo Market, it's a small stall with very helpful people if you are new to this cuisine. Although, their menu is very clear, the person who will be taking your order is open for any question you might have. I ordered their Jingdong Pork Patty and Biangbiang Noodles. Both of which are flavorful and enjoyable. I had plenty of leftover but I was told that Biangbiang isn't good for next day and I can see why. It's not as chewy anymore due to the noodle absorbing the sauce. It has still a good flavor though. Morefan is one of many restaurants inside the food court next to the Asian supermarket. I had to try their spicy beef tendon noodle soup which I have not seen on the menu anywhere else in town. On a Friday at noon, there was no line so I was able to order immediately. About 5 mins later, my buzzer went off and I was able to pick up my soup. My first impression was that the tendon and beef looked different (the tendon looked drier and the beef was in slices vs. chunks) than other photos I had seen on Yelp. The soup had a *very* healthy portion of noodles - probably a little more than one person should eat for lunch but I finish them all. The noodles had a nice toothsome texture. There was also plenty of tender pieces of delicious tendon. I wish there had been more beef though. My only criticism was that the broth itself was somewhat lacking in depth of flavor. LOVE this place for fresh hand-pulled noodles. I've been going here for about 2 years, and it has never disappointed me. Every time I go I get the Biang Biang noodles which have the most delicious broth that is super rich but not too heavy at all. It also comes with the most tender pork belly that just melts in your mouth...and some veggies too of course. This time I also tried the Splashing Chili Oil Noodles and I think I like the sauce on this one even better than the Biang Biang broth which is crazy because both are so good. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at Morefan! The location is in a kind of random food court but the food was better than many restaurant locations I've been to. I have heard of this place for a little while now, but rarely go up this way, so it took us forever to finally give them a try. We have been looking for thick, hand-pulled noodle ever since we had a taste of X'ian Famous Food in NYC. Morefan's noodle is definitely the most similar to XFF. The noodle is wide, with a nice mix of soft and chewy texture. Their portion could easily feed 2 people. Especially if you plan on getting couple dishes from other vendors as well. The flavor however, could use a bit enhancement with added black vinegar and spicier/better flavor chili oil. This is an a place that I would think of to go to because it is located in a grocery store food hall, but this place was so much better than expected. Me and three friends came here and we tried: Biang Biang Noodles, rougamo, spicy beef noodle soup, and vegetables and pork over rice. My favorite dish was definitely the biang biang noodles. The flavor was really good, and the hand pulled noodles were a great consistency. The spicy beef noodle soup had a really good flavor also but the Szechuan numbing spice was a little powerful for my taste. The meat also was just purely tendon, I would have thought it would have some real meat to it. The dish also usually comes with a pickled cabbage that really elevates the dish, but they didn't have the right one here. The vegetable and pork over rice was the same topping from the biang biang noodles, but my vote was for the noodles, and the rougamo was ok to me, but the boys loved it. I'm a huge fan of liang pi which is a type of Shanxi in China. It's actually a simple dish made with wheat noodles, shredded cucumbers, chili oil, sesame oil and soy sauce. It's eaten at room temperature and so it's not hot or cold. The noodles are chewy and the sauce was ok. It also came with gluten which isn't my favorite but some folks might like to soak them in the sauce. Overall good experience. One star off as the chef puts out the bowl of noodles but his mask was on his chin. So his saliva might have accidentally gone into the bowl when he was calling out the number. Honestly, the noodle texture might be my favorite thing about this dish. I should've mixed it together before taking the pic lol so it looks like it's just a bunch of those peas and carrots, but they really do give you quite a bit of meat. I have bookmarked this place for a long time and has high hopes for this place. Their signature Biang biang noodle is great! It has a good amount of tang and spice on very audente fresh noodle! I could slurp that all day! It's very refreshing. The hot and sour noodle is a bit too strong for me- the soup itself is very spicy and has a very strong spices to it that is overwhelming (and numbing). I typically love spicy food but the combination of their special spice mix with the acidity was too much for me - but I could see how others may enjoy this! I would give it higher but I hesitate because of price - I would assume most food court prices would be a bit lower but the price for most of the food here is comparable to a sit down restaurant. That said, despite being named Morefan, they have excellent noodle dishes. The oil splashed noodles are a good take on a Xi'an classic though not all that spicy and could use a bit more spice if you're expecting heat. The beef tendon noodle soup is good if you like tendon - they give a lot of it with good chewy noodles. Broth doesn't soak much but it is flavor packed. Again it's not all that spicy so you can get through it without breaking a sweat. Lastly is the jingsong pork patty which is more or less a flat eggroll in some senses - very crispy, fried spiced pork that is delicious.
