Such amazing food and the friendliest staff ever. Completely authentic, and culturally relevant. This is a buffet so the food keeps coming. Recommend the lamb and the fried rice is a hidden gem.

I came here with my parents and cousin. The food is great! I think everything was cooked well. The eggplant, crispy fried chicken, and tan yuan was amazing.

I've visited this restaurant a few times and enjoyed their food, but some dishes are overpriced. The service is also subpar, with one server being particularly rude. However, the owner was friendly during checkout. Despite this, I'll likely opt for takeout instead of dining in again. Green onion pancakes and beef roll are over priced. Not worth to eat. They didn't taste good either! But other dishes were great! They also serve hot pot as well

A classic sichuan style restaurant. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. And food was very good. We ordered gold medal pork feet, garlic pea sprouts, sichuan style dongpo pork, and shredded pork with dried tofu. Portions were large. You do need to order rice along with the dishes. The dongpo pork was slightly sweet, soft, and saucy. The garlic pea sprouts were flavorful and a nice change from the meat dishes. The shredded pork and dried tofu was also very good (good knife work and flavor).

Every time I go there, it's always packed. You'll expect some delays but I am ok with that. Limited English speaking servers too but they are fine taking orders. Food is delicious :)

Horrible !!!! I come to this restaurant a lot, normally the food and services are exceptional; unfortunately, today not sure what's gotten into them. First, my server served me my glass of ice water with an orange/reddish looking flake in the water. I didn't mind it at first, I just grabbed my water and walked toward the reception area trying to get a new glass of water. Instead of changing the water for me, they got very offended and trying to explain it's just lemon seeds. Three servers, only one actually looked at my glass but the other two didn't, yet all three of them were trying to persuade me it's just lemon seeds. I know what I saw, it's probably chili pepper flake which is understandable as this is a Sichuan restaurant. But the fact that they treat me like I was lying ruined my mood. We also ordered Dongpo pork, when it arrived at the table we were all stunned, normally this would consist of half fatty and half skinny meat, but this dish is I would say 80% fat (look at the picture I attached) when we raised our concern, our server again trying to convince us this is normal, we've been here multiple times, this is not normal ..... she refused to switch dish or do anything about it. We are all very disappointed, we are here celebrating my mom's birthday, we all walked out with frustration and disappointments. Very sad as this restaurant used to be my favorite, will not be returning....

This was recommended by Chinese friends and they were right. Best Chinese is Plano! I love it. Great portions, great taste, and the servers are very attentive. Highly recommend.

    Dandan noodles - YUM!

This place is always packed, and now I know why. Although their menu outside is completely in Chinese, the menu is translated with photos which made it very user friendly. Hubby was hyped about our visit, and we were so happy to enjoy a wonderful meal and great experience at Chen's. The Dandan noodles are subtly spicy and completely addictive. The Sichuan style Dongpo pork was extremely tender and flavorful. I am thrilled that we went and can't wait to return for the whole hotpot experience. If you're not well versed in Szechuan cuisine, do not fear. There is a huge menu, and I find it hard to imagine not being pleased with your meal at Chen's. It's a new favorite!!

The culinary experience was so over the top, I don't even know where to begin. IT.WAS.THAT.GREAT. It all started upon entering this smaller restaurant that has a peaceful ambiance, as we were cheerfully greeted by Jeanne, who knew we were arriving as our friend had called ahead. Snce we arrived a little early, and our friend was en route, we decided to try the scallion pancakes, with the Chengdu spicy dumplings and sesame bread which was enthusiastically recommended by Jeanne. The appetizers arrived and we all enjoyed them. The dumplings arrived in a spicy broth-like elixir that complemented the soft pillowy pockets of seasoned pork. The scallion pancakes were mediocre at best, but the sesame bread was amazing!! It had the perfect texture and savory flavor that was enjoyed by all. For our entrees, we ordered two dishes of the Stir Fried Shrimp with Yibin Chili and asparagus (extremely delicious), a spicy Clay Pot Fish, Beef and Napa Cabbage with spicy chili sauce (incredible spicy flavor!), Hot and Spicy Chicken (chunks of deep fried chicken, yum!!), Combination Fried Rice, and an order of the sauteed snow pea leaves. Everything arrived fresh and freshly prepared. Every entree we chose was exceptional! Our iced teas and ice waters were always refilled, and boy were we stuffed! I highly reccomend this restaurant if you're are looking for a more authentic Chinese dining expereince! Make sure to ask for Jeanne!

We arrived on a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m., and surprisingly, we were the only customers there, considering it was peak dinner time. We also discovered that we needed to pre-order the duck in advance. Luckily, the lady informed us that there was one available for us, but it would take about 30 minutes. We ordered the crispy cucumber salad, xiao long bao, and the dry-fried string beans. The dry-fried string beans were my favorite. The string beans had a delightful crisp texture and a flavorful taste. The cucumber salad was also good, but some parts were a bit soggy. The XLB skin was too thick and chewy, and it didn't taste like the usual soup dumplings, which was disappointing. I was excited for the duck, but I was honestly disappointed when it arrived. The portions were quite small, considering it was a whole duck. It wasn't carved tableside, which was a letdown. Some parts of the duck were dry, and the skin wasn't crispy enough. To add to the disappointment, they charge extra for almost everything. If you want more pancakes or their homemade duck sauce (which tasted like black bean sauce), you'll have to pay an additional $5. Another thing to note is that they are BYOB, so you can bring your own alcohol. However, the menu pictures on Yelp are outdated, and they only offer whole Peking duck, not half orders. Overall, the food was just okay, and I'll probably try a different spot when I'm in the mood for duck again.

We come to this place once a month for take out usually either the medium or small size is our go to (great for home hot pot). Today we ordered a medium pot and the size was clearly smaller than usual. After spending a few minutes talking to the staff who reassured us this was medium so we just left. Then we get home, as we literally ordered a medium pot last week, this was clearly smaller than what we had last week. We even took out a container ordered a while ago for small which is the exact same size as the one we got today which is supposed to be a medium. It even feels lighter.... I'm glad that I finally tried it though. My favorite part about this place was all the side dishes. They were all very high-quality and delicious. It was the first time I tried 1000 year-old egg. The presentation was beautiful and the Szechuan added a nice kick to it. The fried pork belly was crispy outside and still juicy inside. The fried bean curd was perhaps my favorite; a lightly breaded crispy exterior with a delicately soft interior. When you order the fish soup, you get to choose additional ingredients to add inside. We picked little mushrooms, wide noodles, and green leafy veg. The mushrooms were so small that they kind of got lost in the soup so I probably wouldn't recommend those. However, the wide noodles were excellent with a nice chewy texture. The soup itself was sour but not as sour as I was expecting, which was a pleasant surprise. Next time I would like to try the combination, fish and beef soup. The homemade milk mochi was amazing. You cannot skip this dessert. 5-stars. The four of us split the soup for three and it ended up being around $30 per person. This was for lunch and we were very full afterwards.

Meat quality is excellent, service is friendly and now they include a homemade shaved ice dessert which is cool. The only unfortunate thing is that they've bumped up their "basic" menu quite a bit and kinda priced me out of what I would call a quick casual go-to meal. While I am happy they are doing well, it's just not a place that I can frequent anymore especially being that my wife doesn't eat that much anyway.
