I'm going to come out and say it... MSG, lots and lots of MSG... I'm ok with using MSG in food but they use so much of it here that it leaves a weird after taste on my tongue... The side dishes were ok (yes, MSG here too) but the main thing, the fish & beef soup, was not good. The broth doesn't really have any flavor except salty... We ordered the Combo for 2 and they do give you a lot of food. I just can't recommend this restaurant...

Honestly I've never had this dish before and it was really good. Even though the description for the signature spicy and sour flavor soup says spicy and sour, the taste is pretty mild. Not too sour or spicy just in between. It reminds of the Vietnamese mustard green soup. Definitely recommend getting the combo set with two sides and two add ons. The pork belly was crispy and the Chinese doughnut absorbed the delicious broth. Service was super fast and she was super nice. Place was pretty clean. Definitely recommend trying out this place if you are into dishes like these.

B2J is a classic suancai fish soup from Guangzhou , the food capital of Canton. The authentic saurkraut taste from fermented mustard greens with sichuan pepper makes it authentic and chopstick licking good. The other great addition is the soup is paired with fried doughnut. Its a must if you are already seating down. You can add to the soup lotus root, bok choy, a choy and many other vegetable selection. The soup comes in classic sour and spicy taste or you can go extra spicy option if you are from mainland. Their cucumber salad is also amazing, its served with spicy vinegar / soy sauce/ fish sauce. Ample free parking in this mall complex which is predominately surrounded by Korean food, Chinese food and Taiwanese bubble tea joints. Authentic taste, locally sourced, ambiance is cool and casual, service is fantastic. Be early, especially weekends they get busy.

Everything was delicious! The donuts are made fresh and came out crispy yet fluffy. Wings were absolutely on point. We ordered the combo for two and it was massive--great value. The sweet-and-sour broth was so good and really tied everything together.

This one was a bit of a cultural experience for this Small town Indiana-born guy. Admittedly I wasn't sure if I'd like fish soup like this, but based on the strong ratings (and my wife's approval), I figured we could give it a try. It is as you might expect - the menu is mostly variations of giant bowls of fish-flavored soup. Some spicy, some not, some with various inclusions. The soup had a lot of interesting flavors to it, and I enjoyed it. We got the special for two, and the bowl was huge (they offer bigger too). Service was very friendly and helpful. Overall a nice experience, and I think it would be best on a colder day. If you like fish soup, or are willing to give it a shot, this is a solid choice.

Service: Our waitress (presumably manager/owner) was really kind! She came over to show us the menu since it was our first time here and made some recommendations. She checked in on us frequently and gave water refills. Ambiance: The restaurant is clean, but very small. I feel like a group of 6 next to us was cutting it close! They had to put several tables together. I recommend this place to groups no larger than 6, otherwise, you might need to wait for a table if they do not have enough to put together to accommodate. Food: We ordered the 2 person combo and WOW, it was a lot of food! We tried our best to finish it, but I think we would have had one more portion enough for another person. Everything was so good! We chose the signature broth, and it was so flavorful!

The portions here are huge!! I'm pretty much a regular here. The flavor order the soup is amazing. I'm always satisfied when I leave this place. The Chinese fried donuts here and the best I've ever had!! They taste so fresh and YUMMY. Service is always fast. I bring a new friend every time so that I could have enough to share and get dessert. It's perfect for eating with a friend or a date.

Great service and delicious food, the broth is rich and full of flavor. We ordered the combo which gives you a soup, two add-ons and two sides.

The environment in the store is clean and tidy, as if you have returned to China. There is also a set meal for two people, and the two of us can't eat it at all! There are still some left to go! Pickled fish with soup is delicious! Especially mixed with rice, it's very good! I'm satisfied with eating pickled fish in the United States.

Great food, though the service was just okay. They are definitely not stingy with the appetizer portions, and the original flavor soup tasted great (though it could use a little more fish and clear noodles). Our server didn't check on us during the meal, and we had to flag them down just to get the bill. Despite the service, the food is good enough that we will be back for sure.

B2J Fish Soup in Plano completely surprised me! I came in for the soup but ended up loving everything else just as much. FOOD: * Crispy Pork: Absolute must-order! Perfect crunch on the outside, juicy and flavorful inside. Not greasy at all--dangerously addicting. * The Doughnut (You Tiao): Light, airy, and golden. Perfect for dipping in the broth. It soaks up all that savory flavor without getting soggy too fast. * Cucumber Salad: Refreshing, crisp, slightly tangy with the perfect hint of garlic and chili. It balances out the richness of the pork and soup beautifully. * Fish Soup: Clean, comforting broth with great depth. Not overly fishy--very well done. SERVICE: Staff was friendly, attentive, and quick. They explained the menu, checked in often without being annoying, and the food came out fast and fresh. AMBIANCE: Clean, modern, and cozy. Casual enough to feel comfortable, but still feels like a place you could bring friends or family. The vibe is calm and relaxing--not loud like a typical busy restaurant. Overall: Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The crispy pork, doughnut, and cucumber salad alone make it worth the visit--but together with the fish soup? Unbeatable combo. One of the best comfort meals in Plano!

The ordering process was unique (scanning the QR code & ordering for the entire table). We ordered approximately 8 dishes, and not one single food item disappointed us. Every item was unique, full of flavor depth, spice, and ingredients we don't often get to experience in American-Chinese restaurants. I can't wait to go back for the dumplings, twice cooked pork, and lo mein. *I will say that I do have a severe/life threatening allergy to shellfish. My friends did have to speak mandarin to convey the allergy concern and ask about cross-contamination possibility on a few items. I'm not sure that without a fluent speaker I would have been able to confidently eat a few items. 10/10 will be back! Come with an empty tummy & maybe hold off if you have chapped lips! The food does have some kick on it, and it does NOT feel awesome to have that level of spice on chapped lips!

The culinary experience was so over the top, I don't even know where to begin. IT.WAS.THAT.GREAT. It all started upon entering this smaller restaurant that has a peaceful ambiance, as we were cheerfully greeted by Jeanne, who knew we were arriving as our friend had called ahead. Snce we arrived a little early, and our friend was en route, we decided to try the scallion pancakes, with the Chengdu spicy dumplings and sesame bread which was enthusiastically recommended by Jeanne. The appetizers arrived and we all enjoyed them. The dumplings arrived in a spicy broth-like elixir that complemented the soft pillowy pockets of seasoned pork. The scallion pancakes were mediocre at best, but the sesame bread was amazing!! It had the perfect texture and savory flavor that was enjoyed by all. For our entrees, we ordered two dishes of the Stir Fried Shrimp with Yibin Chili and asparagus (extremely delicious), a spicy Clay Pot Fish, Beef and Napa Cabbage with spicy chili sauce (incredible spicy flavor!), Hot and Spicy Chicken (chunks of deep fried chicken, yum!!), Combination Fried Rice, and an order of the sauteed snow pea leaves. Everything arrived fresh and freshly prepared. Every entree we chose was exceptional! Our iced teas and ice waters were always refilled, and boy were we stuffed! I highly reccomend this restaurant if you're are looking for a more authentic Chinese dining expereince! Make sure to ask for Jeanne!

We arrived on a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m., and surprisingly, we were the only customers there, considering it was peak dinner time. We also discovered that we needed to pre-order the duck in advance. Luckily, the lady informed us that there was one available for us, but it would take about 30 minutes. We ordered the crispy cucumber salad, xiao long bao, and the dry-fried string beans. The dry-fried string beans were my favorite. The string beans had a delightful crisp texture and a flavorful taste. The cucumber salad was also good, but some parts were a bit soggy. The XLB skin was too thick and chewy, and it didn't taste like the usual soup dumplings, which was disappointing. I was excited for the duck, but I was honestly disappointed when it arrived. The portions were quite small, considering it was a whole duck. It wasn't carved tableside, which was a letdown. Some parts of the duck were dry, and the skin wasn't crispy enough. To add to the disappointment, they charge extra for almost everything. If you want more pancakes or their homemade duck sauce (which tasted like black bean sauce), you'll have to pay an additional $5. Another thing to note is that they are BYOB, so you can bring your own alcohol. However, the menu pictures on Yelp are outdated, and they only offer whole Peking duck, not half orders. Overall, the food was just okay, and I'll probably try a different spot when I'm in the mood for duck again.

Meat quality is excellent, service is friendly and now they include a homemade shaved ice dessert which is cool. The only unfortunate thing is that they've bumped up their "basic" menu quite a bit and kinda priced me out of what I would call a quick casual go-to meal. While I am happy they are doing well, it's just not a place that I can frequent anymore especially being that my wife doesn't eat that much anyway. Would have been nice to have a slightly lower tier option available as not everyone cares for Wagyu. Definitely still an authentic hot pot experience though!
