While they don't have many vegan items, and no vegan entrees, they have helpfully labeled vegan items on the menu, which makes ordering easy. The vegan apps they have are very good. The cocktails are amazing. While I wouldn't recommend this place for vegans for dinner, I would definitely recommend happy hour here or drinks and apps. The service has always been great and the staff have been knowledgable about vegan items and have been able to help create a dinner meal for my wife and I when we've met folks here for dinner. Great food and great atmosphere! This wasn't our original restaurant of choice but I'm so happy we ended up there. When we arrived, there were empty tables but almost all of them were reserved, which is the only downside; I wish there were limited number of reservations for walk-ins. Thankfully we were able to get seats at the bar. I ordered a kenzi, which was delicious and full of passionfruit flavor. For starters, I had the golden beet and fennel salad and my husband had the grilled peach salad. Both were great starters. For dinner, I had the pork tamale and he had the lamp lollipops. Again, both were great. The portions were well portioned. A starter and an entree left us perfectly full. If you're expecting chain restaurant-like portions, you'll be sorely disappointed. I have to say that I'm biased because my husband works here but this place is pretty great! I have been for dinner, lunch, and just drinks. I am glad they expanded their wine selection and added bubbles on tap. Very cool. Make sure you try the fried chicken with black sesame seeds. It's awesome. I do wish it came with a small side. The jazz club downstairs is pretty cool. You can order from a limited menu and the atmosphere is great. I like that they also have free shows so you don't always have to pay to go. the meal was fine, but be aware that not all seating will allow you to hear the live jazz music. On a busy dinner night, you will only hear them if you sit outside- all indoor seating is too loud so you cannot hear the music. The mussel appetizer was by far the best part of the meal- great flavors! We ordered two drinks: purple rain and the pink cosmos. Purple rain tastes like a fresh dish soap- I would not get this drink again. We got fish and chips and the flat iron steak. The steak was good and a good portion of meat. The fish and chips tasted more like chicken strips... not sure if it was the type of fish or if they were overcooked. Either way the texture was not the signature flakiness of a fried fish. We came here to have a nice birthday dinner and were very disappointed. I gave 2 starts instead of 1 because the atmosphere was cool and the service was great but the food was really really bad. I got the duck and duchess potatoes. The fat wasn't rendered out of the duck at all and it just tasted like I was chewing on pure fat. My boyfriend got the salmon and forbidden noodles. The noodles should stay forbidden because they were disgusting. They were served cold and didn't go with the salmon at all. The noddles had the texture of snot. Unfortunately, you do not get to listen to jazz music while you are eating but our waitress was very attentive and nice and the food and drinks were great! We ordered an appetizer of deep fried brie with honey and blueberries drizzled on it and I cannot recommend this appetizer enough. The cheese and honey was a great combination of sweet and savoy. We also ordered the Cod and Clams in Bayou Broth, Herb Crusted Lab Lollipops, and Green Chile Mac and Cheese for our appetizers. Everything was AMAZING. The Mac and Cheese was so creamy and delicious, however, we didn't taste the green chiles but that didn't stop us from devouring the whole thing! The Herb Crusted Lamb Lollipops were tender and flavorful, served on a bed of caramelized fennel and cucumber quinoa which was refreshing and delicious. The Cod and Clams in Bayou Broth was so flavor packed the only negative was that the broth was a little over salted for my taste but the sea food was cooked perfectly. We ended our meal with some peach cobbler and we really wished that we didn't order dessert. All of the food leading up to dessert was fantastic. Unfortunately, the peach cobbler just tasted like warm/uncooked peaches with raw oats thrown on them. So skip dessert and instead have a dessert cocktail to end your meal because their savory food is wonderful! read more

I'm a repeat diner at Duet and I love this menu. Last night I had dinner at 7pm with my husband and a friend. We ordered the deep fried Brie appetizer and found it delicious with a nice crusty exterior and melty cheese in the middle. I specifically came back for the Viet Cajun Mussels. Mussels are always a little work but they were steamed perfectly, not chewy or overcooked. The broth was beautifully flavored and spiced with a side of dense French bread to soak up all the delicious. Seriously I have dreams about this dish. My friend also ordered the mussels for the first time and she agreed that it was fantastic. My husband ordered the green chile burger and ate it with a fork and knife. He said it was very good but avoided the bun because it was "too tall." Service was good and the wine was tasty and priced well. We all split a $40 bottle of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. I have a personal preference for short tables but to be seated when we arrived only a bar top was available. The seats were comfortable enough but a foot rail on the table itself would have been solid. I will be back! (Note: Avoid the hummus. We'd only been here for lunch before which was good but this is a great dinner place because it has a totally different atmosphere. We had the fried brie, filet, and salmon. All were delicious and the service was good too. If you want a fancy dinner but don't want to spend a ton you should definitely check it out. Food is great and price is too. The only weird thing was that the bathrooms had stacks of folded paper towels instead of a dispenser just sitting on the counter next to the sinks. Wow! As a foodie from Wichita, it was nice to venture to new surroundings and see a true gem. Our friends recommended this place and our guide Sterling was spot on. AMAZING is all I can say. My mom and I got a bottle of the Duet Chardonnay (highly recommend). We then started the night with the lentil wraps as well as the poke tostados.
