Overall, we really enjoyed our date night at Duet. The live music was swanky and not too loud. Our cocktails were delicious. We weren't very impressed by the food, but we figured this would be more of an experience restaurant anyway! We did enjoy our Fried Brie appetizer - it was our favorite food we had all night! We will definitely be back for drinks and appetizers.
Went here with friends. We were seated immediately and the server was very attentive all night. The food is okay, but not crazy special. Cocktails are on point and tasty. The best part of the meal was the desserts, they were Devine. The only thing I didn't like was a large bachelorette party was there at the same time and they were loud, rude, and entitled. Enough with the screaming, we notice you. Lots of the girls thought they were influencers and were doing live social media crap while they were there. Really a buzz kill. The staff let them drive everyone away instead of asking them to tone it down.
I've been here many times with phenomenal food, service and ambiance. This wine dinner was no different. Each wine was amazing, in general, in addition to the food, and portions. The staff was on pint with ensuring drinks were full and had everything we needed. We left with a set of the wine! I highly recommend this place for date night and or celebration!
Food was great, service was amazing, and we loved the live jazz music playing in the background! We went for a date night, would definitely recommend! Prices on the menu were reasonable for a budget couple like us
This was our first time experiencing a set menu wine event at Duet. We enjoyed the pace of the evening as well as the menu being preselected - this allowed us to just enjoy our time together. We received this invite in an email directly from Duet. The menu and cost was laid out so you'd know just what you were signing up for. This New York Wine Dinner was modestly priced at $50/person. Reservations were required and the event did sell out. Duet is known for their live music (jazz) so our only disappointment in the evening was that there was not music at this particular event. Also note that the "2-tops" at Duet are small tables and they have uncomfortably shaped chairs for anyone above a small build. Everything else was great! We really enjoyed this experience and will look forward to another event of this nature with Duet!
Food was excellent. Although it was questionable whether one of the shrimps was cooked thoroughly. I had reservations and when we arrived there were some empty tables on the patio. We asked if we could sit outside. We were told that the table was taken. Ok, fine. No problem. But then no one was seated at it the entire time we were there. So next time I'll just be like Nathan on Ted Lasso, "no. I want the f'ing window seat!" But all in all it was a good experience. I'll definitely go back.
I have been to duet for a dinner while listening to jazz and for a friend's birthday, but more recently I went to a Bastille Day dinner pairing. It was well- thought out and everything seemed to mesh well. The food is great and there is a great selection of beverages. The restaurant is clean and industrial chic.
Duet is a great place for groups, adult birthday dinners, girls nights, or a date you've known for a while. Keep in mind the place is very small, and when live music is playing you have to raise your voice and read lips if on the patio, so it's not the best place if you're just getting to know someone. Great entertainment otherwise! The jazz band and singer were so good. We were here on a Saturday night seated at the patio. We had no wait because I called the morning of and made a reservation. Highly recommend doing that because it was a full house. The food: this is where I struggled with taking off a star or not so I'm going to put it all out there. -Burger: fabulous. Green chilis and cheese had the best flavor and the roasted garlic spread was sooo flavorful. The bun was a bit dry so we had to peel some of that off but overall I was very satisfied with it. -Fish and Chips: 3/5 stars. The fries were absolutely delicious and carried the whole dish. The fish was underwhelming and I was somewhat disappointed in the price compared to what we received. Three TINY pieces (smaller than a chicken strip). They had great flavor, mostly because of the remoulade they came with. There was no crunch from the batter at all. It was very gummy so the dish overall I would not recommend. -Drinks: we ordered a Negroni first, and they're was so much bitters it was impossible to to drink. The waitress gladly switched it for the aged rum mojito which still really missed the mark. The bartender overall we were not impressed with so we decided drinks elsewhere would be better. -Dessert: Bruleed Key Lime Pie. Now, it's fair to say that any time KLP is on the menu I will order it whether or not my stomach has any room. I am a KLP fanatic. This, once again, missed the mark. The Oreo crust totally clashed with the flavor of the main filling and it was simply just not a good combination. There was no tart note coming from the limes at all. A hint of flavor was there but in a sweet, artificial way. The texture was extremely over cooked and tasted old. The portion was perfect for two people, as it came with two small slices. I did expect more from this dish given the hype on the reviews and from the wait staff. -Appetizer: fried green tomatoes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. These were crunchy, delicious, and absolutely wonderful. I wish we'd gotten two of these instead of dessert. I will be coming back specifically for these and trying brunch next time. The rest: Staff was friendly and as attentive as they could be for a packed Saturday night. All in all we were there about an hour and forty five minutes from sit down to check. Order an appetizer and drinks right away because it's more the kitchen hold up than it is the wait staff. The place was clean, inviting, and had a beautiful PRIDE flag waving out front. I would bring someone back here and keep in mind the above food experience when ordering again (wine only, extra fried tomatoes)
It's been a few years since we've visited Duet. This is a really cool restaurant and jazz club. The jazz club is located in the basement while the main restaurant/bar is street level. I like the lighting inside and there are lots of windows. Unfortunately this visit had several issues. Before discussing the issues, I did want to say how great our server Josie was. She did her best to remedy the food preparation problems which emanated in the kitchen. We ordered a couple drinks while perusing the menu. For appetizers we chose the PORK & GINGER Pot stickers and a small cheese & charcuterie board. The charcuterie board was quite nice with several different cheeses, sliced, sausage, some grapes, served with a small basket of toasted thin-sliced bread. The Pot stickers were cold and undercooked inside. We sent them back and the item was removed from our final bill. Before we were really ready for the entree, it was brought to our table. For the entree my wife and I decided we'd split an order of LOCAL BEER BATTERED FISH & CHIPS (Alaskan cod, herb remoulade, fries.) It was nice that the kitchen split the entree for us onto two separate plates. The fish was served in a bowl on top of a generous pile of fries. However the fries were not hot and were basically as limp as could be. We brought that to the attention of our server and she took the fries away and brought us another bowl of fries. They were also limp and just not very palatable. The fish sticks, of which there were three (so each of us got 1 1/2 fish sticks since we split the entree,) were good and they had a nice crunchy breading on it. We stuck around for dessert and ordered the BRULEED KEY LIME PIE. To me it looked like a tart rather than a pie, seemed to have a oreo-like cookie crust and the lime was barely present. If I hadn't ordered it myself, I would not have even though it was Key Lime while eating it. Not my favorite. Our server made it a pleasant experience in spite of the kitchen disappointments. . I did ask to speak to a manager about the issues. I was told there was no manager on duty. The bill for the meal was accompanied by a card to leave feedback. I filled out the card and requested to be contacted by a manager to discuss my visit. So far I've not had a callback from the Restaurant.
We attended the birthday party wine tasting dinner for Taylor Swift. The food was seriously one of the best meals I have ever had at a restaurant in Tulsa. Every course was better than the last. The ambiance was warm and sultry and the service was excellent. I can't wait to go to another event here.
My new found spot! My wife surprised me with a night out and we landed here! If you're looking to have a great meal in a great atmosphere this is the place! The appetizers are nothing but delicious! Get the potstickers, they are to die for!!! The grilled southwestern shrimp was seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of 'kick'!
Zoe Curren invited the wine maker from Maysara wine in Willamette Valley to discuss the biodynamic viniculture in the beauty of Willamette Valley wines. We started off with a Thai style crabcake with a spicy chili sauce paired with a Willamette Valley Pinot Gris. The second course was a lasagna Bianca with mushroom and Barada paired with a Pinot Noir. A deliciously decadent pasta course. read more
Went for a wine pairing dinner and had a great time! The pairings were delicious. Was a little nervous about the portion size but we felt pleasantly full after the 4 courses. Great atmosphere, love that it's a family owned restaurant and his granddaughter is a sommelier and does the pairings. Took my husband for his birthday dinner and can't wait to come back for another one! Check their instagram for future pairings which are normally $50 on wednesdays, sometimes they'll add a second night on Thursdays and they also do paired brunches on Sundays. Called and made reservations easy enough and pretty last minute. We arrived early so we chose to sit at the bar even though our table was already ready. The space is beautiful; especially for the holidays. They have a unique cocktail menu so we decided to try those. I got the Carrie Bradshaw. It was well crafted and had a nice fresh citrus flavor. Hubs got an old fashioned that had all-spice. He liked it okay. Once our other two arrived in our group, we were seated immediately. We ordered the artichoke Cesar salad, chili Mac and cheese, and filet to share. The salad was delicious; fried artichokes on top. The chili Mac and cheese was the star of the show; creamy with mild slice. The steak was cooked perfectly but liked salt to bring out the flavors. Currently, this might be my favorite happy hour location! Who can beat a $5 miniature cheese tray with $4/$5 Prosecco and wine selections. Also, the happy hour tacos are excellent! Off happy hour, the fried Brie bites are to die for! The cocktail menu is always changing a bit, but it's not hard to find something I like. If I strike out, the servers are happy to take it back! We've also been to a wine dinner downstairs in the jazz club area, and it was fantastic! It was the only one I've seen offered, but I'll continue to be on the lookout for more! We've also been to several shows in the jazz bar downstairs, and the venue is small and intimate with interesting acoustics. The servers try to be very prompt, but when it gets busy, the bar is sometimes easier. We'll definitely be back, and their happy hour, patio, and jazz club are all DEFINITELY worth checking out! read more
Wow. What a treat from a local restauranter. This a menu for foodies. It different seasonings, flavors and layers. When you read the menu you find new presentations but-- do no fear, jump in and you will be rewarded. A starter of crispy crab cakes definitely had a surprise presentation accompanied by a stellar green curry remoulade( yes, that is correct) and a slaw you couldn't stop eating. How do you make a slaw special? All entrees were just as special. Prices are reasonable and a fun environment. Don't miss out on a special experience. read more

We've been told before...avoid Prix Fixe meals on Valentine's Day. But, we were anxious to try out Duet and to hear Annie Ellicott. It seemed like a win-win. Making the reservation was a fantastic experience. In fact, Jennie set the stage for a marvelous evening. Great customer service. We arrived and were told to pick out one of the two tops and we were early enough to be fairly close to the stage. Service was OK but a bit discombobulated. It was like they weren't prepared for the onslaught of hungry and thirsty Valentine revelers. Cocktail menus and wine lists had to be run down. Then, our drinks took a while to both order and be delivered. The appetizers (Lover Lane Oysters with Ponzu sauce) were nice, though a little small (and a bit grainy). :( The salad was maybe the best part of the meal, Grilled Asparagus and Arugula Salad with Pomegranate and Golden Fig Vinaigrette. We had three choices for the entree, duck, steak or gnocchi. One of us chose the duck (with a pomegranate and cherry glaze). I chose the grilled steak roulade. Both dishes came to the table less than hot. For dessert, there was a delicious and rich chocolate tart. We chose the accompanying wines and they were some mighty big pours. While the food was cold, the jazz was HOT. Annie came out in a red dress that I can't even begin to describe. It was marvelous. I could have listened to her all night. All in all, we did have a great time. We will be back to the basement. We might try the food upstairs next time. read more

I've had some disappointing experiences here due to service and food quality but my last experience was a dinner with a large group and it was pleasing. We shared a handful of apps and got an array of appetizers. Everyone was happy with their food and the service was also good. The live music always makes for a nice ambiance as well. I will go back for a 5th time in hopes of having another good experience. read more
Still liking it. Celebratory dinner. Food, again, enjoyable. We ordered the lentil lettuce wraps at our waitress' suggestion. It was the only thing we didn't care for Further disappointment came when she announced that the Korean short rib tacos (we love) and the flatiron steak were not available. Of course that's what we came for. We ordered the Dirty Uncle and the Last Waltz & cared for neither. The dirty uncle is suppose to be peppery. It simply isn't. And we laughed at the tiniest blue cheese olive we'd ever seen. The Last Waltz is rye/blackberry. We were warned it was smoky. A sip or two is great. But the smokiness got to my companion who ordered it. We tasted the Russian River Valley Chardonnay & were disappointed, asking for something oakier. The bartender informed the waitress they don't have an oaky, buttery Chardonnay. Thus, our order of cocktails. DO start w/ the amazing Brie appetizer. Pickled blueberries are the bomb! Ditto on the Love Supreme charcuterie app'. Plenty for 3 or 4. And because someone leaked that it was a celebration, they gifted us with a huge piece of delicious chocolate cake. Chocolatey and RICH. Service on point and above. Think we have personally found a new fav'. Keep exploring the menu. read more
Beautifully decorated newly established restaurant that often has evening live music with a jazz focus. It was not very busy at all when we arrived around 4pm on a weekday, and we had an attentive server who explained the more popular options on the menu. We ended up deciding on the cod and clams dish and the mussels dish since we were craving some good old seafood. We definitely did not regret our picks because the sauce that they used to cook each dish complimented the seafood very well. I appreciated the fact that there was enough bread to dip into the sauce while we ate our seafood. As an appetizer, our meal came with cornbread on the house that we also enjoyed with its sweet flavor and smooth texture, The butter that came with it was also a great addition that further satisfied our palate. Will definitely return to see some of their live shows and have their cocktails on the menu which look very fancy read more
Not a ton of options for dairy and gluten free people on the menu but the huevos rancheros was great for brunch. The mimosa carafes are a must ($22) and if you want juice options let your server know and they'll bring them separately. Everyone in our party loved their food. The patio is nice when it's not super hot and the music was loud (our table was right next to the band) but surprisingly we were still able to talk with each other. read more
This probably won't be a very popular review. It appears that most people love this place. It was just ok for me. The food has very good flavor. I don't have too many critiques of the food itself. We went with a group of 5 on a Saturday night. We got there at 6, they said the dining room was reservations only that night. We ended up at the bar (which is great & our preference). The whole time we were there over 1/2 of the tables were empty. So not sure where all the reservations were from 6-8. The restaurant is classified as a tapas place and the portions are tapas like (small) but the prices are a bit too much for tapas. Servings are too small to get only 1 plate but if you get 2, the prices are a bit much. We got the burrata (very good), sweet potato casserole (I called it sweet potato lasagna) also very goo and that was a decent serving, the Korean pork tacos (again very good), and the ginger chicken. That was the worst dish. Luckily there wasn't a major ginger flavor, I asked because I don't like ginger, the flavor was mornin the breading and not a heavy sauce which I again enjoyed. But the quality of the chicken wasn't great. There were 4 small tenders and about 1/4 of it, I couldn't eat. Glad people enjoy it, and I hope this place the best and glad Tulsa continues to have more options but I probably wouldn't go back. read more

We enjoyed brunch at Duet (downtown near Detroit & Archer) before our show at the PAC. We had reservations, so no wait, but was getting pretty busy when we left. Started with cocktails and the fried Brie appetizer. I had the chicken & waffles (delicious and unique with pineapple salsa). My cousin had the huevos rancheros and my mom had the biscuits and gravy. We went to Duet on the weekend of their grand opening week, excited about this new addition downtown and had a good time! The service is good despite the restaurant being pretty busy on a Friday night. We had several cocktails which were all good but our favorite is the Kenzo (can't resist that cachaca and passion fruit!) For our appetizer we shared the fried oysters tostadas and they were delicious! It comes with three fried oysters on a corn tostada and radish. We had the Korean BBQ short rib tacos and the Cod & Clams un Bayou Broth for our meal. The Korean BBQ short rib tacos tasted very good. Only down side is that the portion is fairly small so even my wife who doesn't eat much didn't feel completely full. The Cod and Clams were delicious and that broth is great for dipping your baguette slice! The ambiance is very appealing and cozy, dim lights and good music. Perfect place for hanging out with friends or for a date! We didn't get to enjoy live music but would love to return to experience this! read more

They have quite an interesting menu from fried chicken to filet mignon to short rib Korean tacos. Everybody was able to order something a little bit different and the consensus was that the food was great. Our server was amazing. read more

Such a fun brunch spot! I'm a sucker for brunch and live music, especially live jazz, so Duet is a treat as it combines both things. The benedict was amazing and the music was so, so lovely. Our server was very attentive, and the check was much lower than I thought it would be. Always a good thing to pay a lot less than expected! I'll be back! read more
I'm going with five full stars for Duet!! First of all when I'm in this restaurant with its open air windows and outdoor seating and fancy delicious beautifully plated cuisine and purple drinks and great wine and the buzz in the chatter of a lively urban restaurant, I really forget that I'm in Tulsa Oklahoma! The quality and ambiance they have created, I could be anywhere - California, Denver, Chicago. The food I have experienced has been delicious : Seabass, fried green tomatoes, even a delicious soup made with the freshest chicken and mushrooms was delightful. There is a great cocktail list and lots of yummy wines. Then the coolest part is for about 5 to 10 bucks you can go downstairs and listen to jazz, have more great beverages and even dessert! This place is a winner no matter where you are! read more

Duet was a great first experience from visiting out of town! The food so good. Had the brie bites and cajun muscles for my main! Oh and lots of wine! The 3 man band upstairs was a great start before heading to the Low Down. I plan on going back!!! Server Josie was pretty awesome too! read more

Does anyone know if Duet allows or takes reservations for private parties, for example rehearsal dinners? If so, who to contact and how best to contact?
