Excellent!! ! They sent a video walk through of what was serviced on my car and when I dropped it off they had a free Lyft arranged to bring me home and a text link for a direct ride back to the dealership when the service was done. Easy, smooth, & timely. Even with a kid. read more

Dublin Mazda - Car Dealers Near Me - Dublin, California

Brought my Mazda in for service yesterday and experienced more excellent customer service from Dublin Mazda. David R. was my service advisor and he was thorough and efficient and courteous. Car was done on time and I received a mid-week service discount! The video they sent showing me the underside of the car, suspension, brake condition, etc. was excellent. And the car was washed and vacuumed to boot! I'm a loyal customer for life! read more

Dublin Mazda - The guy in middle is Mr Suman Acharya who help us through the deal.. appreciate This nice guy.. - Car Dealers Near Me - Dublin, California

My husband and I were looking to buy a 3-row SUV and must've visited every dealership in Dublin (and met a number of rather off-putting characters along the way). When we walked into Mazda though, we had the great fortune of meeting KEITH MORITA, who was easily the most professional, personable, and knowledgeable dealer we've ever worked with. From beginning to end, no pushy/sleazy tactics -just a consummate professional treating us like actual people. He took us on the BEST test drive, patiently showing us the car's features and how they best worked with our driving style and needs. We bought a car from him that very day and drove home all smiles. Thank you, Keith! read more

Maintenance costs a lot more than other Mazda service centers. Also, didn't bother to fix my windshield wiper.

So first, if you're looking for a sales guy who won't make you feel like you're covered in slime, ask for Elvis. I mean, his name says it all. I live in Fremont, which also has a large Mazda dealership that I bought my last Mazda from. Unfortunately, that car was totaled, so I was in the market for a new car. Fremont and Dublin both had the same exact certified preowned model I was looking at. I had already gone over to the Fremont Mazda dealership a few times that week since it was so close. I had a young gentleman there I was talking to each time I was there, but he was young and couldn't really handle the numbers I was throwing at him. I don't fault him for that, but each time he had to pull someone else in to really talk numbers with me. I just wasn't getting the right vibe and figured I'd check out some other online inventory of the nearby Mazda dealerships and that's when I saw the same car I was starting to settle on in Dublin. So we drove on over. Elvis helped me find the car I was checking out, immediately took us for a test ride and was very pleasant. He mentioned some of the deals on new cars but when I said I wasn't interested, he never brought it up again. There was some haggling with the management, but he worked as our mediator rather than the enemy. It was fun negotiations and I walked away mostly happy and they got to sell a car. The price was slightly higher than Fremont, but the mileage on the vehicle was better - but really, the experience at their dealership was was just all around better. I wanted Elvis to get the commission, he was very enjoyable to work with. Now the unsung hero of Dublin Mazda is Rosie the Finance Manager! After all is said and done, you always get taken back somewhere to sign your life away. Rosie is who you get to do that with and she's awesome. Through the miles of paperwork, she breaks it down into simple terms for you to understand and is no-nonsense. I mean, besides getting to drive away in my lovely new car, my favorite part of the day with chatting with Rosie while we got everything squared away. They better give her a bonus or something.... But all in all, buy a Mazda, they're great cars - and when you do it, go ask for Elvis at Dublin Mazda. read more

Come here if you are ready for a bait and switch. I came a few days earlier to sell our car and was offered a certain price. Came back a few days later with title after calling them and saying I'll come down the same day. When I got there, they said the current manager on duty won't offer that price and could only offer a lower amount. And if I wanted to talk to the manager who offered the original price, I could come back another day. Wouldn't be surprised if they do this with new car sales too. Depending on which manager is on duty, you may not get the price you negotiate read more

In 2018.... After hours of research online for pricing and performance/ packages, we drove from SF to Dublin to buy my CX5. Corresponding by email with the salesperson, they offered me the VERY best price deal in northern California. When I got there the sales person had the car waiting and explained all of the features clearly to us (this guy knew this car in and out). This was especially helpful as the car had radar cruise control, heads up display and other features that weren't the norm in 2018. He and the finance team worked quickly to go through the paperwork with us and offered us a deal on an extended warrantee that we couldn't refuse. I would usually buy one, but again they offered it to us at a really good price and Mazda's come with only a three year bumper to bumper one (the powertrain warranty is longer). ...which brings me to today, I am selling my car today to a private party and had a few questions over the last week about the transfer of the car and cancelation (and getting a refund) of the GAP insurance and unused portion of the warranty.I reached out to their contracts department to get some answers. Each email was responded to by Michelle Rodriguez in minutes and was helpful in a way I won't go into here, just know that she saved me time and money. I will be purchasing a new car this summer when things get back to normal and I will be driving more. My go to place will be Dublin Mazda, as I know I will be treated well not just when purchasing the car but for years to follow. I will however have to find out the name of the original sales person. Thank you, Michelle and Mr. original sales guy! read more

I had a great experience for maintenance service today!!! everyone was kind patient, accommodating, even got my remote taken care of that I thought I would have to go to a shop for and it turned out to be a simple fix! also wiper blades replaced cheaper than going to O'REILLY'S and included a inspection video of everything they were doing and checking, that was very helpful. I drive from east San Jose to go here and it is worth the drive! Thanks again to the team. read more

Frankie in your service department! KUDOS for your awesome service. I explained to Frankie, I wanted my Mazda CX5 serviced before the extended warranty ended. Frankie was courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. He kept me updated on the progress of my car. He provided me with a lyft ride home and back to pick up my car. He went over the service inspection that was performed, all good. I just got new tires, so he advised me to make sure we rotated them next service. Their car wash down, being serviced; he offered a free wash when I had time to come back WOW! What great customer service. I bought my car from Michael Barrilleaux (pronounced Barlow) Dublin Mazda and I couldn't ask for a better salesperson or customer service. I was planning on buying a new car but when he showed me a pre-owned SUV CX30 that just arrived, I decided on that one, a 2021. Fast forward to a few days ago when my car wouldn't start. I called Michael and he actually drove to our house and jump started it at no charge!! Amazing customer service. The battery worked fine for 2 days, wasn't driven yesterday and this morning it wouldn't start again so I called Michael again and even though it was his day off, he came over again and jump started it!! Wow!! So amazing! I seriously doubt you could get better customer service elsewhere! I highly recommend Michael when shopping for a new car!! read more

A big thank you to my product specialist, Keith Morita, for making my first car buying experience a pleasant one. Keith was someone I trusted early on when I test drove the car I was interested in. He quickly made me feel comfortable about the car buying process, asking if I had any questions along the way. He was genuine, kind-hearted, very accommodating in scheduling, and not "sales-y." He's the opposite of what I thought a product specialist would be. The entire team also worked hard late in the evening to ensure I was taken care of. Rosie, on the finance team, was also very helpful in explaining everything clearly and concisely. I wasn't in the finance office for long to sign all the disclosures/forms. Overall, I would highly recommend checking out Dublin Mazda; I'm happy with my car purchase! I would 100% ask for Ken Morita! read more

It's unfortunate that the sales departments at many auto dealerships have such a bad reputation. Sometimes it's well deserved. Many sales departments use hard-sell techniques, lie and pretty much will say anything to make the sale right then! They know that once a customer walks out the door, it's very hard to get them back to make the sale. So, I can understand why so many people have a distrust for dealerships and dread the whole car buying process. I'm happy to report that not all dealerships have slimy sales people and use hard-sell techniques. Some have genuinely nice people who know the product and actually seem to care about selling me the right car for my needs! My wife and I were shopping for a small sized SUV and had narrowed it down to a Honda CR-V (we had owned an '09 CR-V in the past) and the Mazda CX-5. We stopped in at Ken Harvey Mazda in Dublin to take a look at both of them (Ken Harvey also owns the Honda dealership just across the parking lot). We used Ken Harvey Honda for car service in the past and couldn't have been happier with the whole experience with their service department. I worked with Vasek who was wonderful. Knowledgeable about both the Honda and the Mazda vehicles and was able to talk authoritatively about both. Vasek was able to clearly explain the differences and how they would translate to our specific needs. In the end we choose the Mazda CX-5 and have been thrilled with it. The whole decision process was smoother than buttered silk! And then came the most dreaded part of buying a car... negotiating the price. Usually there's the whole drama of the sales person saying they would have to get approval from their manager for that price and he walks out and you can see (but not hear) him as he dramatically talks to the manager wildly gesticulating giving, what appears to the customer, as a really convincing argument to the manager to accept the price. You know they are actually talking about something totally different like where to go for beer after work. There was none of this nonsense with Vasek. We went in knowing the retail and invoice prices for the car so we knew a fair price when we hit it. I should add that I actually want the dealership to make money on the deal. But I also want to get a good price. There's always a sweet spot in the middle where the dealership still makes a profit and I still get a good deal. This is a total win-win and it's what I always aim for when negotiating prices. We were able to quickly come to an agreement on a fair price for the car and a fair price for my trade-in vehicle. Again, smooth as a summer lake at dawn! No hassles, conflicts, dramatics or any nonsense! The only minor delay was that they didn't have the exact color and model that we wanted. They were able to find the perfect car at another local dealership and get it transferred in just a few days. Even the Finance & Insurance department (F&I) where the final contract is signed and where they actually take your money was a smooth process. Harry Soenardi, the finance manager, was wonderful. Mazda was running a promotion with 0% financing (like putting money in my pocket!) and the whole process from applying for the loan through the final signature was quick and painless. I can't praise Ken Harvey Mazda enough! From walking in the door to driving off in our new car this was one of the easiest, fairest and smoothest processes I've ever had when buying a new car. They have restored my faith in dealerships. All I can say is if you're in the market for a new car, go to Ken Harvey Mazda in Dublin (or Ken Harvey Honda right next door). You'll be as thrilled as I was that you did! read more

We had a really excellent service experience with David Reyes! We recently purchased a 2018 Mazda3 (from somewhere other than Dublin Mazda) that was eligible for Mazda's CarPlay stereo upgrade. When I called Dublin Mazda to schedule an appointment, I was offered a time the very next day. When we took the car in, David was very friendly and got us all checked in. While the vehicle was there, they performed several inspections, which were reassuring, since we purchased the vehicle used and it will primarily be for our son to drive. When the car was returned to us, it had been washed and vacuumed, which was a nice bonus. read more

After having a bad experience at Tracy Mazda I went to Dublin Mazda and I can't express enough how wonderful Paul Mahjorirad was . He really listened to me and took car of my needs. The whole dealership was absolutely fantastic . They worked with me on getting the right price of a car . The financier who I can't remember his name but will say looked like a younger Tom Chaplin the lead singer of Keane really had patience and got me the right price.. I got the CX 30 and I LOVE IT. So if you're looking for a new Mazda please go to the dealership in Dublin and ask for Paul you will have a great personable experience. read more

TLDR: Worst sales experience in a while. Internet manager tried to sell me a car then got called out when I found out they didn't have the car on the lot after I agreed to come down and sign paperwork on that specific car. Tried the bait and switch to get me on the lot. Wouldnt send a written quote. Shady as hell salespeople. Reposting review as YELP deleted it for including the phone numbers of the dealerships and email addresses. Or someone at Dublin Mazda complained. THE LONG STORY: This was sent to Taz Harvey, owner, of Dublin and Tracy Mazda I got outright lies followed by bait and switch tactics from the Dublin Mazda internet sales guy, Nicholas Luzey, about a very specific car (we discussed VIN numbers) only to find out that the dealership didn't have that specific car in stock. Had I not checked I would have driven an hour to get told some BS. March 21st I sent a request through Mazda's online inventory tool looking for a red 2019 CX9 Grand Touring AWD SUV. This included the actual VIN numbers for in-stock vehicles to multiple local dealers. I received a few responses with lease worksheets that met my requirements and were within the range that I expected to pay. Dublin Mazda was the only dealership that would NOT under any circumstance send a lease worksheet. This should have been the first red flag. Most dealers hate to send something in writing, but they all do it before I walk onto a lot. The first rule of leasing/buying is to never walk onto a lot without a deal already done. At least its worked for me over the years, and I buy or lease a new car every 2 years. I received a message from Nicholas Luzey thanking me for the inquiry through the Marza online inventory tool and specifically asking what he could do to earn my business on the specific car that I inquired about. Nicholas wrote, "Would you mind sharing with me what your local dealers are offering? Perhaps our incentives are a bit better and I could sharpen the price for you a bit." A brief exchange followed, still within the norm that one would expect from a dealer selling a car that is popular, but in no way exclusive in the segment. I have 6 local Mazda dealers with Dublin being the furthest away at an hours drive. I wrote Nicholas an email with VERY SPECIFIC numbers that all the other dealers were willing to work with as the starting point for negotiations. All these numbers were well within the range of what would be a great, but reasonable, lease deal on these cars. Nicholas wrote back almost immediately, "Lucas, Those prices seem pretty accurate. If I could accomplish less than $350 would you be willing to come down here this week to pick up your exact car? This was followed up with Nicholas writing, "Alright Lucas, you twisted my arm. I will promise something below $350/month WITH TAX INCLUDED if you schedule an appointment to deliver this offer in person." At this point, Nicholas fell into the time-proven and despised car salesman role. He stopped responding to emails when I called out specifics about the car. He changed his tone and story that he could deliver the offer only if I came into the store to see the car and only then would I get an offer in person. I hesitantly agreed and scheduled a time for the upcoming weekend. At this point, I wasnt feeling good about the dealership so I decided to check the inventory for the dealership and not the Mazda corporate site. Lucky for me that's when I realized that the car was not in Dublin Mazda inventory. I called out Nichoal on this white lie. Nicolas' responses were typical bait and switch. "The car can be here 24 hours after finalization of paperwork. I can show you and/or your wife a clone of that vehicle in a different color if you need to verify options and accessories." Please don't ever sign or buy a car without it being on the lot to drive away in! Big NO NO! He then started down the path that he'd only honor his offer if I brought in every other offer I've received and then he'd price match. Sorry to have to tell you, but that's not how this works. Try asking any dealer to show you every other contract for the same car they sold earlier. Not going to happen. At this point, Nicholas realized that he couldn't bait and switch me and it ended on the following exchange. "You made me an offer and asked for my business. I said that I will be at your dealership only because you would provide a written offer. I'm not making the drive to Dublin to negotiate a price. I'm driving to Dublin to review the offer you want to make me so as to earn my business. I only negotiate car deals over email. I make purchases in person. if you dot have the car nor are willing to make the offer, we have no reason to drive an hour. I have local Mazda dealers for that. His response: "Sounds great. Take care." Bait and switch don't work anymore. A 20s millennial wouldn't know about integrity. I feel sorry for the boy. STAY away from Dublin Mazda! read more

Awful, awful, awful. I am beyond disappointed with this dealership. I bought a car about a month ago and within 2 weeks, the check engine light turned on, the dealership refuses to do anything about it, and their communication and customer service skills are terrible. First of all, the buying experience was draining and awful. Suman (I might be spelling that wrong) was the salesman who sold me my car, he was very cynical and rude. He severely talked down to me, I'm assuming because I wasn't buying a $60k car. It was very clear that my business was a nuisance and he couldn't wait for me to leave. There was no negotiation and it took them hours just to tell me they wouldn't budge on the price. Overall, the entire buying experience was stressful and I couldn't wait to leave. The entire reason I dealt with all of it was solely because I really wanted that specific car. The thorough cleaning their suppose to do when you buy it is a joke. There was still old hair from other people (or a dog) and what was clearly something sticky, like soda, that had gotten spilt on the drivers side door. Second of all, it has barely been over a month and the car already had to be taken into a shop. I called the dealership several times, left voice-mails, and I hadn't gotten a single call back until I called multiple times daily and tried each department of the dealership until someone finally answered the phone. It should not take you weeks to answer a dang phone! The check engine light is on and I've already had to fork over a couple hundred dollars to get it fixed at a different dealership since I couldn't get a call back from this one. I hadn't even made the first payment on this car and already had to pay to have someone fix it. Lastly, the salesman reassured and was extremely adamant that there was a warranty still on my car. When I took it to another dealership they informed me that it was expired and I was lied to. My check engine light is once again on and there is definitely something wrong with it still. It does not drive properly and barely wants to drive when I put on any gas, there is a distinct burning rubber smell anytime I start the engine. The last place I took it to did not fix the problem and the Dublin Mazda dealership won't do anything about it either. After talking to a manager, I was basically told im shit out of luck and they can't do anything about it. The manager told me that since the car I bought is not a Mazda car, their mechanics "don't know how" to work on it. What mechanic can't work on any other car besides one specific brand? Even if thats the case, work with me to find another solution and I would understand perfectly fine, instead I'm told to figure it out myself. HORRIBLE customer service. They can not own up to their own mistakes and have terrible communication skills. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed in a company in my life. I will NEVER buy from them again and highly suggest anyone else doesn't either unless you like being talked to in a condescending way and felt like your business does not matter to them at all. read more

this is 2nd time back only for an oil change and will be my last one. was told 1.5 to 2 hours wait just for oil change with the special offers. 2.5 hours later, it finally got done. this time they did the car wash unlike last time. only next day to find a small scratch on the front passenger bumper and highly doubt this is from anywhere else since oil change. of course will not able to prove, and will not bother to prove. will bite the bullet. scratch can be from the free car wash included in the oil change special, or whoever drove the car within that busy Saturday morning. or anywhere else that I only park in parking lot but I doubt it. should have checked before leaving the lot. enough said. now my shiny mazda no longer in premium shiny condition. read more

Nothing beats getting consistently let down by an establishment. That satisfaction of knowing you were right then, and you are right now is indescribable. While I am sad with the service level of Dublin Mazda, but hey, at least they are consistent at what they do. So here's a summary of what happened a few days back with me at Dublin Mazda. I reached their place to get an audio part checked. As the car is under warranty, I wanted to check if they will be able to help me. The Service Advisor promptly helped by looking at the audio unit. He came to the conclusion that there was a problem and that the part will have to be replaced. He told me he will check with the company if they cover this part (my warranty is good) and let me know the next day (as the insurance company is on the East Coast). The next day the Dublin Mazda person did not call, or leave a message. I called him on his cell phone, no response. Left a text (no response there even). I called on the landline on the business card, again no response. Meanwhile, days have past and I am NO longer waiting. Not coming back here. read more

This is long overdue. So a little background, I have had my Mustang for three years. I LOVE that car. However, I now have a toddler, a dog and three cats. Let me tell you it really gets crazy when we have everyone in the car. So, I explored doing a test drive on a CX-5; told my husband this is just a test drive. We will not trade in AT ALL. We met Keith Morita, who made everything so smooth and easy. It really felt like I was talking to family; he didn't hard sell the car to us. He was professional and guided us through the process. We had the papers sorted out in a day and walked out with the CX-5 Grand Touring. PS, my son who has grown fondly of the Mustang, which he called yellow car, cried so bad when it was time to leave the dealership. Now he calls our car "BIG RED." Update: totalled my CX-5 two weeks in, but I am buying the same trim and CX-5 because of the value you get when buying a MAZDA. read more

We have never had such an atrocious customer service. This dealership is stuck in the sleazy-salesman-world that was rampant in the 80s and 90s. While other brands and dealerships have changed their style and become more customer friendly and warm, this brand seems to be stuck in time. Also, we absolutely do not recommend working with their salesman named Troy Dunlop. If he approaches you, we recommend to avoid working with him. Red Flag # 1: Troy kept asking my husband how much money he makes - that's the first thing he asked. That sort of question is quite nosy, creepy, personal and not a way to provide customer service. Red Flag # 2: During the test drive he complained about a certain female customer having no idea how to drive and according to him, her driving was so bad that he cut her test drive short. Upon hearing that, I asked him "Is my driving bad?" He said "No no, you are good. She was just really bad. I was getting so upset with the way she was driving". Thereafter, he kept going on and on about this customer's bad driving and wouldn't stop. So, if you are that female customer reading this who test drove with this salesman, then please take a note. Our advice: If you absolutely have to buy this brand of car, check yelp, call and make an appointment with the best and highly rated salesman. Do not walk in - usually when you walk in (especially on a weekend) you are approached by the worst salesmen at the dealership who can never close a deal - this guy being one of them. We went in with high hopes and are glad we did not give our business to such a sleazy dealership. If you really want good customer service and a better car, go to other brands or dealerships nearby. I, however, cannot recommend this place after such a terrible experience. read more

Dublin Mazda - Would absolutely not recommend working with this salesman named Troy. Unprofessional, creepy and bad attitude overall - Car Dealers Near Me - Dublin, California

Deceivers!!! I went here thinking I could trust Mazda. After I drove off in a used car I learned they sold me a car with the head gasket blown. I never suspected I would be taken advantage of. As I test drove the vehicle the right front side of the vehicle vibrated. I asked the sales associate why that happened and he responded "The car is like that". After a few weeks of driving the check engine light came on and the temp gauge turned on and off. I took it to a repair shop and the mechanic said when was "the last time you serviced it? the spark plugs are completely shot. In addition the vibration you feel is because its misfiring due to the head gasket being blown.". The mechanic informed me that this is something Mazda of Dublin would have known about and head gaskets do not just blow in a short period. That it takes time during the coarse of overheating for a while. After spending $14,000 on a vehicle I was went back and all they would do is say best they could do to fix it is charge me a cheaper price than I was told to fix the vehicle. I will never ever buy anything from Mazda of Dublin knowing they will take advantage of its customers by not inspecting their used lot vehicles to ensure their customers lives are put in serious trouble by not having a vehicle to drive their families in and get to work. This is a traumatic experience and they want to fix this they will reimburse me the $6,000 I am struggling to come up to repair the vehicle. Shame on Mazda of Dublin!!!!!! read more

I had no idea car buying could actually be pleasant, so huge shout out to Keith A. for making it such an easy, pain-free experience! It's such a weird time to be buying a car with inventory shortages and shipping delays, and prior to me coming in, Keith sent the cars they had on the lot in the model I wanted so I didn't waste my time. The buying experience was so easy, Keith was very honest and I felt zero pressure from him throughout the whole thing. REVIEW OF SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I am pleased to say that my most recent experience met the same high standards that I encountered at Dublin Mazda, as previously reviewed. The service advisor, Frank Gonzales, took personal charge of a rather complicated job that ended up taking part of two days. He communicated with insurance, parts, and billing in a seamless fashion. He was quite flexible about discounts on the job. Dublin Mazda now uses Uber for its shuttling. The car arrived within minutes, and all charges are paid by Dublin Mazda. A lot of the process now (appointments, shuttle car, etc.) are handled online, and updates about the job, a video of the all-points inspection, etc., are sent to cell phone. read more

He was very honest and willing to walk me through the pros and cons of each car, till we settled on one that had everything I was looking for: a 2016 Mazda 3! Based on my experience with Vasek, and with the dealership as a whole, I plan on getting all my future cars from them. read more

I always buy used cars from dealers lots and have never had a problem. Drove almost 2 hours specifically for a car that they wes advertising. Two weeks of driving it there was a problem. Lots of phone calls without any response. When someone finally picked up the phone, they used every excuse why they will not make things right. Including their mechanics don't know how because it's not a Mazda. Getting the down payment during this last year was very hard to do. Now figuring out how to pay for repairs before the first car payment is beyond stressful. Yes, I call the direct line to the 'General Manager' David B . that has been responding to other reviews. No one picks up. No call backs. read more

First, we arrived prepared - with a car in mind. This is usually half the battle for most. Having used an online service (which directed us to a different dealership for the "best price") our main intention was to simply test drive the Mazda 3 and if we liked it we were to head to a different dealership the following day. MICHAEL BARRILLEAUX, the great; was our sales consultant. He took us on the ABSOLUTE BEST test drive. Literally, he goes the extra mile to really show you what the car can do. Hills, freeway, bumpy road, curves, etc. We did it all. His route is calculated and he knows the product. We decided to negotiate, interested if Dublin Mazda could meet or beat the price we had in mind. We left to think on the deal. Made some calls and test drove another make/model nearby. We found ourselves back at Dublin Mazda 30 min. before closing time. Dublin Mazda wants you, this is the difference. They want your business and not only just to sell a car (while we all know that is the main reason) they want you to COME BACK, to refer others, to leave good reviews - for that I vote, hands down 5 stars. I will go back and I will refer everybody I know. THANK YOU, Big Mike for your candid demeanor and for making financing so painless. THANK YOU, Michael - you were a no pressure sales consultant that truly is looking out for the buyer's best interest. Sorry we came back so late and left SOOO late!!! It was a pleasure to have met you and an absolute pleasure to have you as a sales consultant. Couldn't have asked for anything better! Hope to see you at Dublin Mazda again!! We appreciated Dublin Mazda's willingness to negotiate and their OUTSTANDING customer service. p.s. I also enjoyed unlimited fresh Starbucks brewed coffee and I wanted to go back for more. read more

Dublin Mazda - the BEST! - Car Dealers Near Me - Dublin, California

My tale of woe with Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda.... Way way back in June of 2018 I purchased a certified preowned Mazda 6 from Ken Harvey's, Dublin Mazda. It is now September 22, 2018 and I still have not received the registration for the vehicle. Both the vehicle tags and the temporary dealer registration slip (that sticker in the window) have now expired. I am now paying $412.00 a month for a vehicle, that I purchased from Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda, that I can not legally drive on California Roads!!! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! I did do my due diligence. Once two months went by, I started calling Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda. I spoke with one of their DMV people who told me that they are having trouble finding the title. I'm like... what??? How can that be. I did my google research and learned that dealerships do this all the time. Trade, borrow, pass down... it's just the way that they work. Usually not a problem. So, I like to think I'm a patient guy, my car just fell through the cracks and it will take some time. But 14 weeks?? How can that be? Here is my main complaint. The last time I spoke with Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda's DMV clerk (09/13) I was pretty firm with them that something needed to be done. The vehicle is now out of compliance with California laws and the dealership needed to figure out a way to make it right. If I was that DMV clerk, I would have gone to my supervisor and said, boss, we have a problem. That obviously didn't happen, because I never got a call back. Actually they have never called me... I've always been the one to call them. So this morning I decided I needed to up it a notch. I called and asked for the sales manager. She made it abundantly clear to me that it wasn't her problem, she could do nothing, nor cared less, and said she will leave a message for the finance manager, because that is there problem. Not hers. I could barely get a word in, she kept cutting me off. Her final words were, "If no one calls you back by 3pm, call back" That made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. =) 4pm rolls around, and of course, no one has called. So I called. I spoke with one of their finance people. It didn't go well. She told me to email her the problem and she will forward my email to the DMV clerk????? I have already been talking with the DMV clerk and it has gotten me no where!!!! That's why I'm calling you!!! We went back and forth a bit and I finally relented and said fine, I'll send you the email. So I did. What else can I do. No one wanted to help.... or actually cared. So now, I have a car that I can not legally drive and no way to get to work. Thanks Ken Harvey! Your the best!!! Hint, Hint... investing in good customer service after a purchase will probably make you even more money in the long run.... just sayin.. --- UPDATE --- I recieved the following email from them at 9:30 pm... cuddles for that: "Hi Andrew,I will forward this to the proper person and get an update for you on what we need to do next for you to receive the proper DMV documentation to drive your car." Problem with thier response was they sent it to the same DMV clerks I've been dealing with....... My response is below... "Thank you for forwarding the email to the clerks. I don't mean to be difficult, but I don't think anyone is understanding the point here. I can not legally drive this vehicle on California roads as it stands. I bought this vehicle in good faith from Dublin Mazda. I work in law enforcement and I would not be setting a good example driving a vehicle out of registration. All I am asking is that Dublin Mazda provide me with a loner car until the problem is resolved. This is not a problem of my doing. It's all on the dealership. It's been 3 months, I don't think I am asking for a lot. Just what's fair. " read more

Looking for a car on a fairly urgent timeline, the folks at Dublin Mazda were great to work with. Super communicative and not pushy lead to a really easy, friendly buying process. Erin was great to work with. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a Mazda. read more
