We have been using this company for several years for regular maintenance as well as new AC units. We have always been very pleased from speaking with the receptionist to interacting with seasoned and young technicians who complete the jobs. Recently, we called for AC service and Demar, the receptionist was very courteous and thorough in assessing our AC needs and arranging an appointment. On the day of the appointment Eduardo, the technician arrived on time and began work. Upon review he determined that his supervisor needed to review also. He arrived in less than 1/2 hour and confirmed the issue. The job along with annual AC/heating maintenance for 2 units was done in less than 3 hours. It's been 2 weeks since the repair and we've had no issues as a result of Eduardo's diligence and work skills. In addition, I was very pleased to see that AABAL is hiring, training and allowing young people the opportunity to learn and grow in the trade. To see the interaction of Eduardo and his supervisor assessing the issue and Eduardo completing the job showed integrity for good work, forward thinking for the company's future and its employees but most of all concern for customer satisfaction by providing an excellent service. Thank you AABAL! The Jones Family

This tech did not give a estimate, but a guesstimate in the range of $550-$750. I disagreed with him. He wrote on my receipt "Follow up". I had to call them back four to five times in a seven day period to finally get a quote for over $600, but less if I add the $85 I had to pay them to come out to do the diagnosis. I told him I wanted a second opinion. I called three different licensed and bonded HVAC and plumbing technicians that gave me a quote for $350. I will never call Aabal Heating and Cooling again in life and I live less than a mile from them.

6 year update I…read moreoriginally wrote this review after D's Air & Heating came out to troubleshoot our Pioneer mini-split system. At the time, I was very pleased with the service and specifically praised Darryl and his team for being prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Unfortunately, six years later, my experience with the system has been very different. We invested approximately $16,000 in a three-unit Pioneer mini-split system for our home. The first two years were good, but after that the system began losing refrigerant. We have continued to experience problems, and now, after having the coils professionally cleaned, the system is not operating and is displaying an E1 error code. I am disappointed because this was a significant investment, and I expected a reliable system for many years. At this point, I am having another HVAC company independently diagnose the system to determine the actual cause of the problem, including whether there is a refrigerant leak and what is causing the E1 error. I wanted to update my original review because my initial experience was positive, but six years of ownership has given me a much different perspective on the long-term reliability of the installation and system. I believe potential customers deserve to hear both sides of my experience: the service was good when I originally posted this review, but unfortunately, the long-term performance of the system has been disappointing.

After spending a day without heat, while calling several big box companies for estimates and schedule appointment, I was blessed to be referred to Burk's. The same day I called, I was able to make an appointment for the same day, late evening. The serviceman, Dario stated it would be after 8pm, but didn't mind coming out to check my furnace, if I was ok with the time. I couldn't say no to expected heat, considering it was in the harsh winter in Chicago. Dario arrived as promised, even called from his cell to notify me of his arrival in front of my home. This is important to me - customer service at its best. Within 15 minutes, he was able to analysis the problem and explain the issue...I needed a part. Given the late hour, he wasn't able to get the part until the next day. Dario returned the next day, at the confirmed time. Within 20 minutes or less, my furnace was up and running. In addition, the cost was reasonable. I plan on using Burk's in the future to install my air condition unit. I now can relax, knowing Burk's is the company I call for my annual maintenance service. I highly recommend Burk's for your heating and cooling service and annual routine needs. Burk's, you all exceeded my expectations. Thanks Dario for your knowledgeable and great service.
