They quoted me one price over messaging (220-330). When they arrived said it was 450-500 and acted like it was a deal (lol it wasn't). They also cut a hole in one of the ducts without asking or saying anything first. Why was that even necessary? This will likely peel and leak over time. So they charged 170 more than the max quoted price, were more expensive than others we requested information from and they gave us more work for later. We were in a hurry to get ready to go to airport and needed the tenant to move in asap so we just paid them to be done with it even though we were annoyed. We have 6 apartment buildings to manage - transparency is critical. We won't risk using them again for any more surprises. read more

I was really happy with Angel's team both times I used them to clean dryer vents. They were on time, professional, and did a great job. They got up on the roof both times to clean the vent from the outside, because it was not accessible from inside the house. However, shortly after the second visit, the dryer vent started leaking into the attic where it meets the roof. Over two gallons of water leaked into the attic in a single storm. There had been no previous leaks. Angel personally came to look at it, and did so promptly. He acknowledged that the vent was leaking, but refused to take responsibility for the leak, stating that he thought the vent was improperly installed. Not knowing enough about whether that would be true, I will not pursue him. All I know is that it wasn't leaking for the 3 years before his crew came (including after their first visit), but now it's leaking. Draw your own conclusions. Considering I have a child with bad allergies and asthma I should definitely be doing duct cleaning every 5 years, but we just did it for the first time in the 11 years we've lived in our house. We get our dryer vents cleaned every few years, but thanks to Angel we are now breathing clean air throughout the house. A recent house construction project made me think this would be a good idea. I did request a quote via Yelp and heard back immediately from many duct cleaning companies. Angels was also recommended by a friend so I went with them. I was so impressed with Angel's communication leading up to duct cleaning day (I scheduled it a few days post construction). A man after my own heard he communicated all via texting and told me exactly they would be doing and any prep ahead of time, which basically involved moving furniture away from vents. He offered to come out and give me an estimate ahead of time or said they could do it the day of, which we opted for. Duct cleaning day proved to be a rainy one so they texted and called to ask if they could come the following day instead. I was worried about the timing since my cleaning lady would be there, but they said no problem with working around her. They arrived 15 minutes early and did a walk thru to provide an estimate. It all came to $950, which is pricey, but when I asked my contractor what duct cleaning typically ran it was within the range he gave me. And then they got to work. They said it would take 2-5 hours depending on how dirty everything was. They were done in 3 hours so possibly it wasn't quite as dirty as I expected, although they did say the cleaning was necessary...especially after the construction. They moved a lot of furniture around, but did a great job of putting it all back and the house didn't get dirty at all. And my cleaning lady was also there to clean up after them.
