I am sure PT Duct Cleaning does a good job of cleaning DUCTS, but they put this monster power machine in front of the house, early in the morning, and it is loud and disruptive to everyone else who lives nearby. Two hours of a horrible, annoying loud noise. Sorry but get a quieter machine or put it inside the customer's home, not outside. It is so noisy and at 8 AM, for two hours??? Yikes! read more

We had work done on our home with new floors, doors and tile, followed by painting the entire 1st floor. The result was awesome except for the fine particulate dust everywhere. It was so bad my son needed an inhaler one night. After work was done, I hired PT to do a thorough cleaning of the ducts or this dust would simply keep recirculating through the home. They came right on time as promised and brought a large inflatable vacuum cleaner canister that looks like a giant Minion, if one were to paint a face on it. Anyway, it sat outside while the guys opened up ducts all over the house and got down and dirty with the ductwork in the basement. This was more than just sticking a hose into the ducts. They cut out circular holes in the ducts to access areas out of reach from regular maintenance. Don't worry. Those holes got plugged with press-in plastic fittings for future clean-out accessibility. Nearly 3 hours later they were done, no mess. The air indoors is clean once again and we hope it stays that way for some time to come. PT is thorough with their cleaning. You can't do what they do with your household vacuum cleaner or even Shop-vac. Pricing is based on the size of the house in square feet. I recommend them for their good work. read more

Just got our vents cleaned. Great service! No scam! We had the scam company couple days ago who came with a regular vacuum to clean ducts ))))) as soon as we saw vacuum, my husband asked them to leave ))) But these guys really do the job as it must to be. And they have the best prices in chicago area. We havent even heard a word about "how bad our vents look and needs anything extra" they just came and started cleaning right away. PT came out to clean the ducts in our home last week. The lady that does the scheduling was more than accommodating when I had to change my appointment 2 times due to other projects that needed to be done first. Just a warning to everyone, DO NOT do any deep cleaning before these guys come out. We just purchased our home so I had already cleaned windows, floors, walls, etc. unfortunately, when these guys were done, there was a layer of dirt everywhere! I must say though, I have nothing to compare these guys to because I have never had duct cleaning done before. Overall, the price was good and the service was ok. PT Duct came out to scope our vents after our family started noticing a strange smell. They were able to confirm it wasn't coming from the vents and shared photos. Great service! Team was here right on time. They were very considerate - had plastic booties to cover up their shoes, so no salty slush was dragged in. They set up tarps from the front door to the furnace to further protect from any dirt. They explained to me what will be done. They also explained what have been done during previous ownership based on holes in the ducts. And the air cleaning itself: it was super through, with vacuum, brush, and pressurized air, finished with heavenly scented disinfectant. Took a bit over 2 hours and the ducts in the basement (where our 2 cats hang out most) were like new! Highly recommended!!! read more

I had them service my vents. They called me twice the day before and the day of appointment to confirm. Two guys in a pt duct cleaning van, pulled up in front of my home on time, as scheduled. They immediately greeted me. Before entering my home, they placed covers over their shoes. Then I walked them through my house and pointed out all the vents. I have a toddler and they assured me it will not get dusty (which it didn't). They went as far as to close every vent and cover each vent with plastic wrap. They brought a big vacuum into my back yard hooked it up to a generator and ran a tub into my basement window and into my furnace. This big vacuumed sucked out all the dust and funk in my vents. They also ran a line throughout my vents that knocked the dust off the sides of the ducts. Just a tip for those planning on getting this service, the work is a little loud. So if you do have a toddler, cover their ears using earmuffs and that baby will sleep right through it. Otherwise, they were extremely professional. Very quick and extremely polite. I would definitely hire them and recommend them to friends and family. They left my house in a clean fashion too. Very happy with their service. read more

My ducts were in serious need of cleaning after we remodeled our house and this company did the job right! At first I was skeptical after a mediocre duct cleaning 8 years ago from another company, but boy did Pt Cleaning prove me wrong. Their equipment seemed like any other standard duct cleaning company, but what set them apart was how meticulously each vent was cleaned. After the initial cleaning procedure each vent was sprayed with a disinfectant against bacteria, allergens and mold and our furnace was cleaned as well. Also, even though our house was dirty from remodeling they still draped our floors, took off their shoes or wore booties and pipes were pulled away from scraping on the walls. I will highly recommend this company to friends and family. I will add that they also clean fireplaces, we had ours cleaned but I will not know the results until colder weather. read more

I give them one star as, eventually, they did try to resolve the problem. Unfortunately , up to that point, I experienced uncaring and unqualified workers, shoddy work, debris which I had to clean up and a broken furnace. This on top of a " office" which was really hard to get a hold of. The business seems to be run from a cellphone of someone on a constant coffee break. As I said they sent average workers to clean- PT were obviously very busy, and a couple of overhires were sent to me. They drilled wrong wholes, left a mess and tried to hide their mistakes. I also had the pleasure of having them drop their cigarette butts into my garden!! The reason I hired PT was they had been part of Angie's list (2012) and BBB. I paid more hoping to get the extra care and attention and detail they promised on their website. It never materialized. After complaining multiple times, someone eventually came to fix some of the problems. Saw the bad work done by the other workers, then moved away quickly when he saw I was looking at him looking for and explanation. Nothing ! Except a couple of quick comments in Polish to his friend. They tried to fix the major problem and then in the middle of the night- I heard a loud bang! and my furnace wasn't working anymore. I called someone else to come fix the mess. Very bad, frustrating experience and despite their claims of 100% satisfaction never offered me anything. I didn't look for anything, but they knew they had screwed up, and it is the sign of a really good company when something is given that is never sought. For me, never again. Unreliable. read more

They arrived on time. Not very good explanation of what they were going to do, just started to bring all material and equipment out and setting things up. The machine is very noisy and I am sure the neighbors were not pleased with 2 hours of loud noise. The lady on the phone told us that they will use cameras to show us the ducts but the guy who came said that they don't do that (so don't expect any video unless you use your phone camera attached to a flash light and taped to a remote control vehicle to go around the ducts). They did the job as expected and I cannot complain about that and for that reason I will recommend them again. Their price was better than competitors. Just make sure you get the price in writing before or confirm the price when they get there and understand that they do not use cameras to look inside the ducts.
