Our furnace stopped producing heat overnight. JML was quick to respond to my yelp requests and also was able to make an appointment relatively quickly. The tech was courteous and explained what went wrong and how he fixed it. He also noted our unit is on its last legs but did not go into any hard sell. He actually gave us some tips to keep it going and just a heads up to start planning for that cost outlay. Just had my first startup service after having a full install of my furnace AC unit and hot water heater installed last fall. Michael did the install in the fall with one other gentleman and did a excellent job because of the weather they could not do full the balancing and testing on the AC so the startup was scheduled for today because of warmer weather. The service technician Adonis was very polite and very knowledgeable about my system and I was truly amazed at his passion for his job he explained everything to me better than I would have ever expected. We wish we could give JML 10 stars, instead of just 5. Our central AC unit gave up the ghost when 98-degree temperatures were forecast for the day in late August. From our early-morning phone call (which the owner himself answered) to the preliminary visit from Xavier (who presented a few options, including repair and replacement, and who ultimately found a hole in the schedule so we could get a new unit that same day) to the installation by Joel and Eric (who stayed pleasant and professional despite the sweltering heat), the entire JML experience was outstanding. Heater stopped working suddenly on a very cold day. They came by the same day within a few hours. They cleaned a sensor and done. They showed my husband how to check it in the future and do it himself if needed. While they were here, they noticed a part that was getting old. They were honest and said that it could last a couple more years if we wanted to wait, or they could change it right then. We opted to wait, and will call them back when we need them! Very professional, upcharged for same day urgent service which is to be expected, but reasonable priced for what we needed. Will definitely call them again. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my 87 year old grandmother, who wanted the world to know she was very pleased with the furnace JML installed and her entire experience. She needed a new furnace, and she was very happy with the reasonably priced option that JML installed for her. They also installed a new thermostat, and when she didn't really understand how to use it, they went out of their way to print a manual for her, and come back and hand deliver it to her. I was a regular customer with another company (Any temp heating) for long time who basically started ripping me off for every small thing and finally they even tried to charge me as much as it costs to replace the whole system for a small repair. Thats when I realized I should cross shop and came across JML heating and I was surprised with their pricing. I told them what happened and they sent their technician without even charging the assessment fee. In the email they even mentioned they wanted to build a relationship and waived the fee. These guys are great. The communication is seamless. They text prior to arrival and they showed up within the time frame as promised. The technician cleaned both of our furnaces and did not try to upcharge us in any way. He did say we will eventually need to replace a part that is $650.00 but he did not try to insist that we do it right away. Instead, he fixed it. We will eventually replace the part and I will definitely be calling JML again. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

And now you have my recommendation :) From the beginning I Knew this was a legit trustworthy place as they are great at following up with you. We have a 9 Unit building with a STEAM Boiler in the dungeon. Now listen, not just any regular HVAC goon can mess with these Boilers. There's a reason its called "Dead mans Heat" .....because all the old plumber/heat guys that knew how to mess with these things are dead now. yes, ancient heating system but also the BEST! Jon and his team are great. We had a very difficult installation job that required retrofitting ducts, gas heating, and air conditioning in to a 1960's basement with multiple rooms and living areas (~2000 sq. ft.). Jon is very knowledgeable and that set him apart from other companies which had salesmen come and do the quoting. Jon has done the work himself for years and knows what works and doesn't, and that makes an enormous difference when it comes to selecting the right setup/system. The second thing that really set Jon apart was he was able to refer us to a partner company he has worked with when doing installations the required interior work (drywall, etc.). This made it very easy for us as Jon handled the installation of the ducting and equipment, while the other company handled all finishing, painting, etc. needed for such an involved retrofit job. As someone who has a high bar, wants things done right, and doesn't want to overpay I would highly recommend Jon. If we ever have any other HVAC needs Jon will be my first call. read more

My previous AC unit was seeing it's last days. I contacted JML originally to service the unit. They did an excellent job of servicing the unit and advising me on not replacing internal parts because I was planning to replace it. Fast forward two years later, I called Jon and team to get an estimate to replace the unit. Communication was excellent and installation was flawless, which is saying a lot since I live in a tall home with the AC unit on the roof. No problem for JML. Their crane partner was very careful with trees and foliage and they installed expertly. AC performance is 1000% improvement. They charged me $150 for a $50 thermostat and $500 for a $145-$200 gas valve. I had to wait and waste my time because they were not repaired with the necessary parts. A job that should have started and been completed on Thursday was completed on Saturday morning. not to mention they were consistently late. Never again!!! I have already requested a refund for the overpayment. Taking advantage of people is not OK. Times are hard enough as it is but this level of deceit lets me know they were never set foot in my house or my family in the area. update: JML called to say they saw the revie and would gladly give me my refund but they would need to come and remove the gas valve and thermostat. Calling JML was honestly a crapshoot since I know nothing about furnaces and had no idea who or what to expect. I wanted to let him know my situation was a little different because our old unit was on our roof, and it conked out after 34 years. That said, We have always had HVAC serviced by good friend who is a licensed professional and does not charge us. Our heat stopped working and our lifelong friend is currently not available. I searched Yelp and liked the reviews I saw for JML. Not easy putting trust into someone new after so many years not ever worrying about trusting HVAC service and/or repair. I asked my wife to call this morning. She did. They came out within 3-4 hours at the time they promised. I was pretty sure it was bad sensor (fairly minor) but was dreading the text from my wife that they told her it was something much bigger. Got the text from my wife that it was indeed the sensor and that "the nice young man" also checked the system for safety issues.
