Pending service - The workman responsible for work is very fast to provide answers. Has us booked for a full furnace and AC swap on Saturday. Fast turnaround good financing terms. Update 1: 120 minutes into the installation service appointment, within the first 90 minutes the new AC condenser and furnace were both staged. The old furnace is being removed at the 120 minute mark and the new furnace should be going in place within the next 120 minutes. The entire service time was from 0815 to 1200 for a total of 5.75 hours of servicing time to complete a total system swap. I'm impressed by a single mans strength and agility in HVAC work. I have inspected the exterior AC compressor in detail and have verified that the installation meets all local and state ordinances. The technician really goes an extra mile to select quality equipment and sell at near wholesale rates. His truck is nothing impressive and thats how HVAC trucks should be, the more beat up a truck looks the more likely they invested in actual business instead of vanity. FINAL - 1.Took a while to get the furnace done installed but it is a complex setup and he did a very clean install on it. I'm honestly unaffected by a technician who takes their time. This how they get it done right the first time by not cutting corners. 2. Is this an air conditioner or a whole house refrigerator. Because if I turn the AC on and stand near a vent feels like I could freeze a toe. The cooling efficiency is a massive step up from even something 20 years old. 3. Didn't charge by the hour or require me to pay extra for those neatly cut corners on the PVC piping, that's one FurNice install by a really pleasant installer. Secret tip: he loves having people offer a water or San Pelegrino so don't be afraid to offer a drink. 5/5 Will review furnace performance in the winter. I assume if the house is a fridge in the summer it's capable of turning into a blast furnace in winter. read more

Rados came out on a Thursday for the estimate and had everything installed by Sunday. I couldn't be happier.

Awesome price, awesome speed. Came out on New Year's day to look at our furnace. Would definitely recommend!

Used him when we were in a pinch and the heat went out in the middle of the night in February. He was able to replace the blower on our furnace at a reasonable price and came out the very next morning. Would 100% use him again and plan to. read more

I was looking for a while for the right HVAC company to come out to our new house. We were moving from Chicago to Highland Park and we need the week done about a month out. After looking at the reviews here, and the length of them - I knew this company was for real. Rados was incredibly responsive to every call and text throughout the process. His quote for a new furnace, A/C, and humidifier was significantly lower than some of the other companies I had spoken with. Rados came out last Friday morning at 8am and worked until 6 - then he came out at 8am on Saturday and worked until almost 7. He had completely installed everything by himself. He is easily one of the hardest working people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and I've already recommended him to several friends. If you're looking for the best HVAC guy in Chicagoland look no further. read more

Rados was great he responded to my initial request within 15 minutes. It was about 5 degrees with a negative wind chill and my furnace went out. He came out to my apartment two hours later on time and was able to fix my problem and charged me a fair rate. If/when I have an HVAC problem again I will be calling Rados from Ameriheat. read more

Sent out request on Yelp and Ameriheat responded right away on a Sunday. Owner dropped by an hour later and waited with me during a rainstorm to diagnose the problem. Solution was changing the ac capacitor. Great service and would recommend again. read more

I hired Rados of Ameriheat to help me move a heating duct within a wall of my home in Oak Park. Rados completed the work in only a few hours and was extremely polite and efficient. He was incredibly punctual and responded to all of my texts immediately. I am thrilled with both the quality of his work, and also for the price I paid (which was less than half what another technician had quoted me). I can't recommend Rados and Ameriheat strongly enough. He will do all of my HVAC work for as long as I live in the Chicagoland area. read more

We have had problems with our furnace, and we have had other companies out. Today I called Ameriheat because the furnace was going on, and shutting off. We had someone out before for the same problem. When I called today Rados told me he would come within the hour. He checked things and explained to me what he thought the problem was. He really cleaned the burners good. (not like the other guy, who only cleaned one!) He also took the time to wait and make sure it was running properly. Our furnace is old, so if we have more problems we will go from there. I appreciated his honesty and good work! I definitely recommend Ameriheat! read more

Ameriheat heating & cooling Inc. Rados completed repair on my AC. I recommend his service. He showed wearing a mask in covid now as we need to be mindful of this time. Rados arrived when he said he would and communicated as he diagnosed the issues. Rados demonstrated knowledge in solving the issue with my AC and was a fair price for the hard work. After completing the repair I paid him and he left. I observed a wetness outside by the pipe on my unit and was concerned about a possible leak and called Rados...He returned right away to check my concerns and concluded it was condensation. I felt foolish but am grateful for Rados explaining that to me with with genuine attention and patience. Thank you Job well done. read more

Had such a great experience with Rados. Straight forward, honest, good repair - called him yesterday, he was out today. His cost was super reasonable and competitive, ($80 for the visit, consult, diagnostic before the repair/labor cost) and the service was quick and efficient. I really appreciate using these local small businesses vs. larger outfits that may have good service but up-sell you on everything and have the most expensive prices on everything to pay for all their employees & overhead. I am really grateful we found Rados - we will be using him for all of our HVAC needs in the future. read more

Last Thursday our 35 years old Central A/C was finally dead in a hottest day. I tried to get a contractor through Yelp. Yelp system broadcasted my request to six companies. Ameriheat is the first one responded my request at 7:30am. Rados stopped by my house at 9:30am to check on the old Carrier A/C. He provided me a free estimate. Since Ameriheat price is very reasonable comparing with other 5 companies, I decided to let him to replace both A/C and our 17 years old furnace. Rados came over next Monday worked 8 to 5 straight 9 hours no rest to complete the installation. Everything works fine. He came on the second day to fine tune the furnace with my Nest controller also adding a humidifier. Excellent job done. I really appreciate Rados & Ameriheat work - 1. Quick response in less than 30 min. 2. Reasonable estimate. 3. Using Good products. 4. Pay attention to every detail. 5. Always Answer my questions with patience. 6. Prefect work done. read more

It was a pleasure to work with Rados & the Ameriheat team on our addition this past summer. We had limited space to work with and some extended runs to reach from our existing central air unit. All obstacles were explained and easily solved and was able to care for some crawl space ventilation issues & replace our chimney vent. Showed up to my house wasting a face mask. Very polite and very professional. Would highly recommend for any heating or cooling job.

Looked very professional and interested but after a few days without getting the estimate he had promised sending me I got in touch with him and told me he was too busy to take the job. I wonder why he didn't say this when I first spoke with me! read more

Truly fantastic service and expertise. Rados came highly recommended--and he did not disappoint. I hired him to do a particularly difficult furnace replacement: the old unit was surrounded by oddly snaking pipes and lines, the ground beneath the furnace itself required repair including all-new concrete work, and then a new furnace needed to be installed to increase the whole home efficiency. Rados had specific recommendations and clearly deep knowledge. His pricing was fair and he was extremely reasonable as we created a plan. Then his follow-through was perfect--a diligent, professional, hard-working team that completed the project on time as described. When I had a quirky issue a day later, he came out again the very next morning without complaint and made sure all was resolved. I truly could not be happier. Highly recommended! read more

When my furnace stopped working and our house was freezing Rados from Ameriheat was the first person to respond from the 7 places I had called. Rados provided the BEST estimate and provided an outstanding experience for the removal and install of the new furnace. Rados fixed the shoddy duct work that was done 15 years ago. I appreciate that Rados went the extra steps to make sure the furnace was properly installed. This company was reliable and true to their estimate (no surprises). Thank you Rados. read more

What I learned from my lesson is that it is vital to give a small business a try! I felt super lucky to find Rados to replace our boiler. Our expansion tank has been leaking water, and the circulator pump for the boiler made a strange sound. Upon these "exciting" discoveries, I learned that the boiler was Buderus, "made in western Germany," in 1983, and the expansion tank was from the 1950s. I called up five different heating and cooling companies to give me an estimate and to access the situation (4 of them are big names). It seems to me that either I pay $2k to replace parts and hope for the best that the boiler lasts another ten years, or pay a lot more to replace the entire system. As a small business company, Rados was able to provide the best price and one of the best experience in this heating and cooling services. He is super knowledgable and patient in explaining to me about the steps, parts involved, and the schedule. He and his team completed the installation in one day. Most importantly, all the radiators didn't make strange noise after the new boiler installed. Rados is an honest businessman, and I will continue to do business with Ameriheat Heating and Cooling! read more
