So far two fantastic experiences. First one they spent a couple hours trying to diagnose my furnace acting up. Turns out it was my air filter being too restrictive. Tried to tune the furnace anyway to accommodate it, which was actually kind of fun to watch all the different ways it could be done. No other HVAC technician I've ever worked with before has done that. A/C maintenance went great too. First company I've ever hired that didn't try to sell me an entirely new unit just due to a faulty capacitor. Even gave me the model number of the capacitor to replace if I want to save money and do it myself (I'm reasonably handy so it's something I'd probably do). I'll be using them for as long as they give great service! read more

AC died in the middle of the night. They came out the next morning and said my unit was too old repair (just over 20 years old), while ripping out something from the power box and seemingly breaking a component in there. They said they could try to do a repair for about $1.3k but that they couldn't guarantee the repair would be effective because of the condenser. They then tried to sell me on their highest end heat-pump for about $24k, which was too much for our needs, since our furnace was also functional. We ended up choosing a basic AC replacement for around $9k. They were able to install the new unit two days later. However, on the day of the install, they saw some surface level rust on the furnace heat exchanger and tried to get me to replace it for an additional $4k. When I said no, they backed off and recommended a CO alarm (which we already have). It felt like I was being heavily taken advantage of because I was in a dire situation. The installation went fine, but my experience of being pressured and hard sold to during the process made it feel like I was being milked for every penny they could get out of me. Take this as a precaution to check your HVAC AC/furnace/heat pump regularly, and get multiple quotes before deciding on work. If you go with this company, they will seemingly do an effective job, but they will try their best to get as much money out of you as possible. read more

When I called to request a technician for my grandmother's cooling problem, Ebony answered in a scripted , unhelpful tone that made it seem like she was having a bad day and taking it out on me. She was dismissive and lacked any genuine concern, which was very rude considering I was just trying to get help for my grandmother. I didn't mind waiting or the pricing, but her attitude was unacceptable and unprofessional. This was for my AC unit, which was no longer pumping cold air, only air. I called Any Temp after I had a bad experience with another company. The operators who took my call were prompt and helpful. The technician actually called me to ask if he could come earlier. He arrived and made a thorough inspection of both parts of the AC system, meaning the outside unit and the inside parts, near the furnace. He figured out what was wrong and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. He also showed me some consumer-side maintenance, such as how to clean out the AC unit from dust and debris. I had contacted Any Temp as my furnace was at the end of its days after they took it apart and looked at its components. They were able to install a new furnace for me as repairing the old one which I've had for such a long time wouldn't have been worth it at that point. They arrived promptly the next day and was quoted to take a few hours was done in one, very quick and efficient. I used to have issues with my thermostat with my old furnace but when diagnosing they told me the circuit board on my old one had issues and I have not had any issues yet with the new installation. Additionally they provided a free year to check the furnace and AC unit. They had just checked my AC today and the employee Johnny was extremely thorough with checking everything was okay and provided me with all the information for diagnostic markers and what to look out for moving forward. Service was great- the repairmen who came to fix my system were extremely polite, friendly and thorough. They were able to come to my place quickly and fetched spare parts from the suburbs to bring to my place combatting rush hour traffic and Cubs game traffic. The price was obscene, however, the final bill was approx $1,600 to replace a part and clean the system. In hindsight, I should have gotten more quotes for this work but I was limited on time and honestly just wanted to get a good nights sleep. My recommendation would be to get multiple quotes for the HVAC work you need. If AnyTemp is the optimal option then their service seemed great. Sept 7 -23 I had a Williams heater replaced that was 43 yrs old and needed one control part which was no longer available. I used Any Temp since a relative has used them for replacements and yearly service. I was also happy with my experience. I was reminded by text of my next day appointment, was texted that they were on their way. They put on shoe covers and were careful not to damage my painted walls going up and down my stairs.
