Chris got my furnace working last winter after it started flashing an error code. Since the culprit was a dirty flame sensor, I only had to pay the $85 service fee. The furnace continued working all winter and I'm bringing them back for routine maintenance this fall. read more

Chris and Noah did a fantastic job! I needed my air conditioning repaired as it stopped blowing cold air. They diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately. They looked at the furnace to see if it needed anything repaired but that was ok. All in all, this is one of the best experiences I've had with HVAC system repair. Chris and Noah were professional, skilled and answered all my questions. I liked their work so much, Elemental is the only company I will call from now on. Also, please note they ask a fair price, the communication was great, and I could pay with Apple Pay. All of these extras made the experience superb. read more

I will definitely be using elemental air and heating again. My heater was running cold and I didn't discover it until 10 PM. I was able to make connections with them and secure an appointment by 10:30 PM the same night they came out the very next morning, identified the problem. Fixed the problem and had my heat going in no time. pricing was fair and I did not feel overcharged thank you so much. read more

To start off, I use the request a service and I was immediately contacted by the company. I spoke to Jessica and we scheduled for the next day. Chris was the person to service me and did a great job even notifying of a potential issue I may face outside of the current issue. Basically this was the first company to connect with me and I did hire for the service which is unheard of for me. The price was reasonable and my heat was up in running in 30 min. Im glad that my first option was my last and final. Great job all around! read more

Quick, nice, communicative. Worked with Chris. Came the next day after I needed help which was great!

Elemental Air installed mini splits for us. They were able to schedule the job promptly, and complete it in a couple of days. We had to work with them a little to get the best price. Like all these installers you would do best to keep an eye on them to ensure they do everything right and clean up. We'll keep them in mind for any additional work we might need. read more

They changed the appointment multiple times the day of but was finally able to come and was fast and efficient at a reasonable rate. They installed my nest thermostat because I was missing the C wire and needed to have an additional component added to my furnace for the power source. I would use again for any future HVAC work. read more

This was my first experience with Chris and Jessica and I can't help but echo the sentiment of all other glowing reviews. There was a minor miscommunication that was probably more of a Yelp issue than anything but otherwise this was one of the best experiences I've had using Yelp to find repair services. Not only did Chris diagnose the issue quickly, but he also took the time to walk me through everything he was doing and why. He explained the repairs in plain language, which helped me feel informed and confident about the work being done. It's rare to find a company that combines speed, professionalism, and this level of care but Elemental Air nailed it. Highly recommend them for all of your HVAC needs. read more

Reasonable pricing and easy to work with. Thorough and responsive. Have rehired multiple times.

They installed a new 2.5 ton AC unit for me on the Northwest side of the city. They were very reasonably priced, quick to respond, came out the next day and even went above and beyond doing a few other repairs/maintenance items they noticed while in the attic. Highly recommend them and would use them again. read more

Wonderful experience - had a different t company come over who quoted me $3500 to replace parts to HVAC. Jessica and Jose were honest and suggested changing out a $200 part first and the assess what else was needed....which is all it was. read more

I own properties and Elemental Air is my go-to company. They're efficient, informative and they do high-quality work.

Amazing beyond five-star service! Chris came out to do some work on our boiler and piping and it has been flawless ever since. He even added an extra shut-off valve on our system because we were missing one that would prevent us from doing maintenance on it unless we drained the whole boiler again in the future. All this was done for a very fair and reasonable price as well. If you're looking for quality work and an authentic company to do business with then look no further than Elemental Air Heating and Cooling. I will definitely be a returning customer. Thanks again! read more

A technician for one of the big Chicagoland HVAC repair companies identified the problem with our forced-air heating furnace as a worn-out ignition control panel -- the "motherboard" for the HVAC electronics. His quote for how much it would cost to replace seemed high, upwards of a grand; I put out a request on Yelp describing in specifics that the panel needed to be replaced. Chris at Elemental was the only one who actually replied with a quote -- more than 40% lower than the first estimate. Three other companies would only suggest I call them, and at least one of them was likely an automated reply. So hiring Chris was a no-brainer. He came to the house twice to work on the furnace, replacing the control panel and cleaning and restoring some of the wiring. He went the extra mile and then some -- like some other reviewers noted, he's thorough, knowledgeable and straightforward. The final cost was exactly what he quoted us. Thanks, Chris! read more

Hello, My name is Dan I had the serviceman Chris come out and diagnose my rooftop air conditioner and he found the condenser coil was leaking refrigerant. He suggested that we put in a new condenser coil and he scheduled the appointment the following Friday. Previous to Elemental ac visit what had caused the leak was that are condomonium building roof was replaced and the roofing people had thrown the ac units around and had stacked them on one another also. My unit was repair by Donaly Roofing Ac service person and then starting leaking a year later. I had another Ac company that charged the unit with refrigerant and quoted me a price on replacing the condenser? I then called Elemental HVAC and this company only charged $85 dollars for a service fee. On the following scheduled Friday Chris came to my building along with another Elemental Hvac name of Jose both of who are genuinely nice people. They pleasantly replaced the ac condenser coil and my inside unit receiver dryer. They ran nitrogen to brazed the ac lines / They even used a micron meter which tells you have much moisture in the unit is being pulled out. The reason I now these terms I went to Triton college in 1975 while working as a union maintenance electrician and went on ac jobs in the hospital I was working for. I voluntarily brought them varous gatorades. At one time Chris diagnose a defected electrical contactor and Jose went to an open HVAC company to purchase the device nearby and did not give me an extra charge for the eletrical contactor they had installed and charged the unit with with 410a refrigerant. I paid them and gave them some more gatorade and they thank me. Chris wrote up the bill with one year warranty on the condenser coil. When I went to move to this condo some years back I found my hvac unit was on its last legs it took two years of hvac servicemen coming out and looking at the job and not coming back. I think a lot of hvac people want the easy jobs where they do not have to go up on a roof and work. By the way Elemental Heating and Cooling was 1,500 dollars cheaper then the previous hvac company that came out to my building. read more

They scheduled and squeezed me in for a next day visit in the mist of a heat wave. The technician was great in communicating arrival time. He was knowledgeable, fast in determining issue. Provided a thorough assessment of our AC issue, and took the time to educate me about what he was diagnosing. Turned out to be a simple fix, allowing more air flow thru our AC with a lower resistance filter to prevent it from freezing. I'm a realtor and had a tenant's heat go out late one night during a cold snap in the middle of winter and my usual HVAC guy wasn't available. Elemental responded to my request for an appointment within minutes and was able to get me in the next day for an appointment although I was skeptical how good the experience would be as they only had 2 Yelp reviews. However, the tech got the heat temporarily working and came back the following day with the needed part for a permanent fix. I felt they were honest, reasonably priced, reliable and good communicators. Most importantly I felt they didn't try to upsell me on crap I didn't need and didn't try to cheat me because I'm a woman; which unfortunately I run across a lot dealing with service companies. I would highly recommend Elemental and will be using them again in the future. I was really pleased with the company overall. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Elemental's customer service. I had a quote from them, and they came way out of their area just to give me a bid. I changed a few things in order to compare quotes correctly-and never heard anything negative. I was very particular spending such a large amount of money-but each and every thing I asked was answered. The original young man that gave me the estimate, I believe, saved me a lot of headaches, guiding me toward getting a heat pump instead of replacing my heat and AC. I did more research and ended up with 4 estimates-(3 others for basic AC and furnaces) and their price was right in line with the lowest I had near me. The BIG guys were like railroad robbery! I ultimately didn't choose them-only because my local company would be 30 miles closer if anything goes wrong-BUT I can and do recommend them to anyone looking for honest, trustworthy, professional, and knowledgeable people! I feel awful I wasn't able to use their services-but swear by them with the couple of weeks they put up with my minor changes and making up my mind! I cannot thank them enough! Call them-you won't be sorry!! read more

My AC system was struggling to keep up, so I opened a troubleshooting/ repair request on the Yelp app. Elemental Air was the first to respond, and offered an appointment the very next day. Many others answered the call, and offered appointments three or four days out. Take note HVAC peeps: Elemental Air was quick to step up and accommodate! Their communication was on point - the tech called to let me know he was ahead of schedule and would be early. Despite the impending monster of a thunderstorm looming, the tech took his time. He not only solved the AC problem with a quick recharge of refrigerant, but also went above and beyond - helping us get our new Nest thermostat dialed in, and fixing some sketchy wiring at the blower motor. Elemental Air has their act together. For the time and effort they put forth, it was good value for the money spent. Give Elemental Air a try - they won't disappoint!! read more
