I recently had my 25 year old furnace and ac system replaced by Ragano. John and his team were awesome to work with especially, the attention to detail in the ductwork to make my whole house humidifier work in a tight space. They did all the work neatly in a timely manner as promised. I'm very meticulous when it comes to work being done in my home, and I'm totally satisfied with the installation that Ragano performed. read more

It's wonderful when you work with a contractor who you can trust, and who is professional. This was definitely the case with Ragano. Andrea was very polite and efficient on the phone, so scheduling was a breeze. The two servicemen who came out were great. They immediately found the issue with my dryer vent, did a quick repair, and answered my questions about my furnace. The price was quite reasonable in my mind. I will be scheduling them to handle any servicing going forward. I very highly recommend! read more

This place lived up to their reviews - so happy to have found them. They quickly installed a new April Air unit on my newer furnace at a fair price. I will now use them for all of my HVAC needs. Thank you, Ragano! read more

I have been using Ragano for about 15 years. Honest and reliable company. I recommend. Decent prices.

I am one of those people that only call for service when there is a major issue I cannot troubleshoot. For this call my A/C wasn't blowing cool air. I called Ragano and the tech that came out was able to troubleshoot my issue to a leak in the coil. John came out a few days later to provide options with estimates and I made the decision to replace my furnace and coil. My experience overall was exemplary. From speaking with Andrea setting up times and warranty questions to the team that came over to complete the install. Ragano went above and beyond helping fit us in a very tight schedule to get our system up and operating before the next few days with high temperatures. I would recommend them to anyone and will continue to request there service for my big or small Heating/AC needs. read more

Needed to replace the original furnace for a townhome I recently purchased. Every aspect of the experience was very pleasant. The technician, Jerry, went above and beyond all expectations to ensure proper installation, and even locked my place up for me after he finished (I had to leave for an event before installation was complete). The ultimate reason I went with Ragano was due to the fact they quoted me for both single and two-stage furnaces without being asked. This set them apart from the other contractor I consulted with, who tried to maneuver me into buying a large two-stage setup which was overkill for my square footage. Ragano's Transparency and service was exemplary and I'd recommend them in a heartbeat. read more

On Thanksgiving morning our furnace went out. I called the company that we normally used, but got no response right away. I called a couple different places and finally got through to Ragano Heating. They were able to come out shortly after I called. Esteban the technician found the problem, but didn't have the part to fix it in his truck. He left and came back with a part that would work and would schedule an appointment later, once they had the correct part. He was there when my family started to arrive for Thanksgiving dinner and he got the heat working just in time. They came back the following week and installed the correct part as promised and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I already recommended them to a friend. read more

Had a problem with my furnace fan, making a horrible sound, Jose came out verified that it was my filter causing the problem. Also fixed my humidifier issue, cleaned a filter fitting on my Furnace and put in a new filter for me. They originally installed my furnace a few years ago. Super fast response, friendly customer service and very professional! A technician diagnosed my furnace and fixed the issue right away. Received a receipt with service detail written which I really appreciate. Highly recommend! read more

I left a message with Ragano on their website. They called me within 2 hours and said that they can come out and take a look at my furnace, but gave me a few things to try before scheduling an appointment. In addition to checking the batteries and changing the filter (which I had already tried), they asked what kind of filters I was using. I was using the accordian type filter and they recommended to use the thinner non accordian kind. So after a trip to Home Depot for a $1.25 filter, the problem was immediately fixed! Ragano also suggested if I used a portable humidifier that I should change the filter more often, probably once a month. Honest and great advice! I'm definitely keeping their number handy for any future issues I may have with my furance or AC! read more

Continue to use them twice a year cleaning and inspection. A/C in the spring and the furnace in the fall. Quick and courtesy response from the person that answers the phone to the technicians in the field arriving to provide service. Whether it be cleaning and tune ups to repairs and replacement of equipment. Earlier this year. My friend needed a contractor when her A/C units were not working properly. I referred her to them. She was impressed and is now a regular like me. They came out quickly, assessed and gave her fair pricing for repairs needed. She is a small business owner and also runs a local animal rescue organization. Been a customer since this company infancy through its growth and beyond. Never changed. Always provides great customer service. Quick response, clear and honest assessments and recommendations. Fair pricing. read more

Great Company! Honest, thorough, and reasonably priced. Estaban was awesome! He explained everything and got my AC working within a short period of time. Most companies push a replacement unit as the immediate solution. Esteban showed me exactly what I need to do to keep my old AC for a little while longer! I'd recommend this company to anyone! read more

I'm writing this review for Ragano Heating & Air Conditioning as I had to replace my old furnace. It was my 4th furnace in 37 years. The service was GREAT from RAGANO Heating & Air Conditioning from Streamwood, IL. The workers were well informed about the existing furnace, including being very polite and checking everything before they completed the job. The furnace, air and humidifier were installed properly and they did a beautiful job. I would like to thank all the workers John, Jack, Abe & Matt. I'm 74 years old and have never left a review for anyone, but if others before me would not have left reviews i wouldn't have found Ragano, so here goes. had them out for a new furnace install back in Nov. 2022 and their fair price was right in line with everyone else. their feedback is what sold me and is why i'm leaving my own. had a few problems along the way NONE of which were their fault, but they were all handled quickly and professionally. their office staff is the best i have ever dealt with keeping me well informed along the way. i'm glad i found them and they will be our go to company for our future furnace and a.c. needs !! read more

I reached out to Ragano heating and air for assistance replacing and old furnace and AC during this Covid-19 pandemic. They answered my email quickly and followed it up with a phone call(Andrea). They were able to see exactly what was needed via email with pictures of the existing unit. Once they were able to get an idea they quickly scheduled a tech to come out to take actual measurements wearing all the appropriate PPE. Before everything was finalized John R. came out a second time to make sure what he had in mind would work. They were able to address all of my questions and concerns and get me exactly what I needed for my space and it's confinement's. I couldn't be more happier with there work. This family owned business really treats you like family. Very knowledgeable and professional from beginning to end their 5 star rating really shows with their quality of work!! Girl on phone was not very informative, kept saying she thinks, not sure, and would have to call someone and call me back. Once she contacted me later she stated this company didn't service DuKane furnaces. I asked why? She didn't know, said I had to call a DuKane dealer. That goodness I didn't listen to hear, I called J & D in Bartlett and they came right out. Yes John I called 10/30 around 3:00 PM and the lady who answered told me she'd have to see if your company services DuKane furnaces. She then called me back, and said you don't service DuKane. If you kept a phone log with phone numbers you might find it. I gave it in my phone log. But, thanks for questioning me, like I'm lying !! read more

JOHN was out to my House to Service the AC Unit and did a fantastic job! I signed up for the Yearly Service Plan and couldn't be happier with the service so far. John worked for some hours getting my Unit in tip top shape. I decided to go with Ragano because its close to my Home and its a Family Business. After reading all the Positive reviews on Yelp I can say they are accurate and this is a real find!! Thanks Again John. read more

First impressions usually tell you what you can expect from a company in terms of service. I found Ragano on Yelp and decided to give them a call based on all of the stellar reviews. Definitely not disappointed. I had the pleasure of speaking with Colin (sp?) who was courteous, friendly and professional. He was able to schedule an appointment for me in a very timely manner which was important to me because my air conditioner went out and the forecast is calling for temperatures on the 90's soon. I was hoping that if the technician they sent me was half that good, I'd be in good shape. On the day of my appointment I got a text message to notify me that technician Esteban was on his way to my house (and on time, I might add). Once again, great first impression. He was friendly, respectful, and professional. He took the time to explain to me in detail everything I needed to know about my AC unit and the work that needed to be done. At no point did I feel like he was trying to sell me services I didn't need. He was very competent and knowledgeable. I've found that service in just about every area of business these days has absolutely gone downhill, so it was really refreshing to receive such great service from the Ragano staff. Based on my first experience with them, I would highly recommend them. read more

Great experience with Jose and Esteban. They were timely and professional. Really put in the time to diagnose things. Have been working with the Ragano for my annual tune-ups/inspections for a number of years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. read more

I was very impressed by the fast and effective service from Ragano. Sunday about 6pm I noticed that our air conditioning wasn't cooling the house. The outside unit was running with no air coming through the vents. After poking around in the basement and online for a while, I decided to call a professional. I left a voicemail at 7:49 pm Sunday. They returned my call THREE minutes later. After a brief conversation, we scheduled a service visit for 8 am Monday. Essentially, I had an appointment before there was even time to worry about the breakdown. So these guys made me feel pretty good before they had even shown up. Our technician Mike arrived at 8:09. Around 8:25 he had diagnosed the problem as the furnace fan (not the a/c unit itself--whew). At 8:48, my vents were blowing cold air again. He did some additional testing and wrapup, debriefed me, processed the payment, and was out the door by 9:15. So all told, my air conditioning saga was resolved in only 13.5 hours, with a good night's sleep in the middle. I could not have been more pleased with the speedy resolution. Plus, both Mike (in person) and John (on the phone) were courteous, patient, and helpful. Mike mentioned a few things to consider doing with both the heating and cooling apparatus, but by no means did I get any kind of "sell", soft, hard, up, or otherwise. Also, these guys aren't like some other small outfits that jot your request on a torn slip of paper and have never heard of voice mail. Those guys' work might be fine, but their administrative practices (or lack thereof) can make you nervous. Ragano is completely on top of that stuff. I already mentioned the fast return call. After hanging up the phone, I received an email confirmation of my appointment within fifteen minutes. The next morning, I received a second confirmation about 25 minutes before the appointment to say that the technician (including his full name) was on the way. Within fifteen minutes of Mike's departure, I received a third email containing an invoice and a detailed description of the diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, Mike had a tablet through which we submitted a credit card payment. My problem turned out to be minor, but thanks to my initial experience, I'll think of Ragano first next time--whether it's another repair or a bigger project. read more

We've done business with them to service our AC and Furnace and will continue to do business with them. They are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions (I pretty much stalked the poor guy the entire time he was servicing the Furnace for the 1st time, asking a bunch of questions ((I'm terrified of it and wanted to understand it)) and he was extremely patient and answered all my questions and then some) They are super reliable and easy to work with...no BS coming from them! read more

Very nice experience. The technician, John, diagnosed the system and quickly found out the root cause came from the burn down of the transformer. And he also found out the wire got messed up which potentially caused the problem. He changed a new transformer and fixed the wire issue. Don't call after hours.....you'll get an answering service that doesn't really know what they are doing. Other than that these guys have been great, had them out for two separate issues and they were prompt, polite, and affordable for a service call. Technician was on time, provided great feedback and fixed the issue. Would definitely use again.

Their 5 star rating is accurate. Reasons: 1. Contacted them on Yelp at 1AM on New Years Day and received a response within minutes from the owner. 2. Did not try to gouge me by saying that I needed emergency services right away. Was reassured that problem was not a safety issue and that it could wait (Family could sleep safely). 3. Did not try to push their services. 4. Scheduling by email was fast and easy. 5. Technician arrived on time, was very knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue. 6. Technician did not try to oversell anything. 7. Technician stayed extra and went the extra mile to fix something which was not covered by the agreed service out of his concern, and did not charge for it. 8. Technician was professional and polite throughout the whole process. There you have it. I would not hesitate to use them in the future. The only downside is that they don't offer more services (plumbing, electrical) as I would use them for everything. It is very hard to find honest, reliable service done with integrity. Thank you and great job to the Ragano Team. read more

My furnace is 17 years old and gets kind of loud when it starts up. I found a company on Groupon that offered 40 dollar tuneups. This shady company tried scamming into buying a whole new HVAC system. They said, my furnace was blowing harmful CO through out my house and that the part wasn't worth fixing because of how old system is. And, after the tech left, I heard this knocking noise that I never heard before. So, I searched on the local neighborhood forums for legit HVAC companies and found Ragano. And, I'm so glad I did. Esteban came the next day and removed a piece of paper that was blocking the fan and tested my house for CO levels which all read 0. Esteban was very friendly and explained to me that I needed a new blower motor for my furnace which price wise was very reasonable (instead of the 9300 the other company quoted me for). I scheduled another appointment with Ragano to replace the blower motor and Fabian came by early morning. He replaced the blower motor which had been making all the noise with no complications. He was also very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The money I paid was worth every penny and now my furnace is whisper quiet and much stronger. These guys are legit as they come and I will recommend them to all my friends and family. I love how they don't try to upsell extra products. There's a lot of shady companies out there who will try to scam you. Big props to the owner for having such a great staff who have good morals and work ethics. Job well done RAGANO !!! read more
