Tried to tune the furnace anyway to accommodate it, which was actually kind of fun to watch all the different ways it could be done. No other HVAC technician I've ever worked with before has done that. A/C maintenance went great too. First company I've ever hired that didn't try to sell me an entirely new unit just due to a faulty capacitor. Even gave me the model number of the capacitor to replace if I want to save money and do it myself (I'm reasonably handy so it's something I'd probably do). And explained it very well without trying to "hard sell me". He also pointed out some areas that the old installers used that he would not do because they were not done well. I watched Gene and his helper do the iInstallation and learned a few things. Gene knows his craft. There's a lot more than just opening a box and plugging the unit in. They have to do wiring-plumbing-sheet metal fabrication and the fittings and measurements just right. I could tell by the number of tools and meters Gene had that he's been doing this work for a quite while. He knew what he was doing and never hesitated about what to do next.
