They sent two guys as my unit is an industrial roof-top kind (no idea why). They went through each vent with their rotor brush and vacuum and were clean and efficient. Malden, the main guy, was very polite and explained the findings. Two weeks later, we smelled a burning smell coming from the vents. Had a furnace technician out here to diagnose the issue and he mentioned some insulation was touching the the metal tubes that the fire goes through. He said it's possible the vacuum could have pulled some insulation out of its spot but could not say for sure. I contacted Lowe's and they said they would check it out right away. Malden came back and noticed the smell and immediately started disassembling the furnace. Was able to find the insulation under the motor and cut it away. We turned the furnace back on and he waited to make sure the smell went away, which it did. They went above and beyond to help out, even when the cause of the smell wasn't directly known. They immediately started moving furniture around and ripping open ducts. They use a home depot shop vac to clean 2-3 feet down the supply vents. The salesman rips out your air filter (destroying it so you have to buy a new one) and tries to sell you on return vent cleaning. He will start at $400, then give you a "deal" for $200. Keep saying no and he will end at $150. If you keep saying no, they will visibly get upset and cut short the rest of the work (they tried leaving before cleaning the lower floor, citing "all the vents are connected"). Eventually they went downstairs and cleaned the remaining supply vents by spraying an "antibacterial spray" into the vents. Nothing more than Febreze sprayed haphazardly around the vents. As the visit goes on the unprofessionalism and attitude increases exponentially. Save the money and buy a shop vac and clean your vents yourself. That is LITERALLY all they did. What a joke.

Erik and his team (two guys) arrived at 7am the next day, and Erik quickly determined the problem and laid out my options: repair the AC, replace the AC, or replace the entire HVAC system (AC and furnace). He provided me with multiple quotes for AC-only replacement and HVAC replacement (at multiple price points). One thing that I appreciated was that Erik went out of his way not to upsell anything and made clear that it was my decision, but still answered all my questions and gave me his professional opinion. I ultimately decided to replace the entire HVAC system due to its age (around 15 years old). HVAC Buddies also offers payment plans through a third-party lender, so I was able to set up a payment plan with 0% interest for 36 months, which is always a welcome option for large expenses like this one.
