I had Oasis investigate an issue with my HVAC - the service technician did a casual assessment and wanted to replace the whole unit for $7000. I then called Air-Rite for a second opinion and they identified a clogged drain that Oasis didn't catch. Air-Rite did a thorough inspection of everything and determined that everything else was in good order. They cleared the clogged drain for the price of a simple service call and my AC is working great ever since. I had high hopes for Oasis based on the reviews, but I'll never use their services again based on this experience. read more

The unit is on the roof of my condo, so they had to haul it up a ladder through a latch. Rigo and Jose were the two gentleman who did the installation and they were both fantastic. They were incredibly friendly, and got right to business. They were both consummate professionals, and I am very thankful they were able to help me. Less than 1 star. I scheduled an appointment for the analysis of the lack of hot water pressure in the bathroom of my condo. Chris scheduled the appointment for Monday morning. By the way, when I scheduled my appointment, I told Chris to pick a date good for him and all I needed was a window of time. He confirmed it twice to make sure I would be there. His office person Natalia contacted me Monday after he was due to tell me he was running late. She changed the later arrival time twice. Needless to say the plumber, confirmed by Natalia to be Chris did not arrive as promised. She told me he scheduled another appointment over the weekend that he decided was more important than me, but he did not relate this to me. Keep this in mind when you schedule your time to accommodate Oasis in the future. They do not respect your time or your business. read more

Oh, where to begin. First, I do want to say that the owner, Mike, seems very nice and communicative, as did the tech, Danny, who came out to look at my setup. Good guys, and I've got nothing bad to say about them. However, when it came time to actually do some work today, the installers were absolutely terrible. Like, crazy bad. First, they showed up with the wrong material for my boiler flue pipe replacement. This is after I had repeatedly specified with Mike and Danny upfront that what they brought should not be used and was assured it wouldn't be, as it's specifically stated as not being safe or approved for boiler flue exhaust. It was cellular core PVC, which isn't rated for high enough temps and can warp and crack over time, possibly leaking carbon monoxide and other nasty stuff into your home. Thankfully, I knew enough to confirm the material and stop them before they started. They told me, "we always use cellular core for this." I'm guessing that's because it's the cheapest PVC material available, but it's wrong and is a major safety concern. They agreed to get the right material and I said I'd get a bucket before they disassembled the existing flue so we could drain the water and soot out of the pipe without making a mess. This is also something I had discussed with Danny and he told me the guys would make a few careful cuts to drain the water before taking everything apart. I left for a minute and came back with the bucket, only to find one of the guys had just pulled the flue out of the top of the boiler (while it was still running!!!!) and sooty flue water had poured all over the place, including getting my drywall all wet in an area behind a drain line which I can't really access to try and dry it. WTF? Like, aside from everything else, who pulls an exhaust pipe out of a boiler while it's still running?! Did I get even so much as an apology from these guys? No. In fact, one told me it was my fault for having drywall in my mechanical room and that it would've just gotten wet from a plumbing mishap at some point regardless. Huh? And the other one quickly started lying, saying he turned the boiler off before pulling the flue out and then quickly turned it back on again when the water pored out. It's a total lie... I was right there and am the one who pointed out the boiler was on the whole time! I had them immediately leave and finished trying to clean up the mess they'd made. On the way out, one of them pointed to the logo on their truck and told me in broken English to "forget about using this company." I think that's the only thing we agreed on during their visit. Mike did reach out to me via text after and said their behavior was unacceptable and to let him know if there were damages and he'd take care of them. While he may be a nice, honest business owner and Danny may be a nice, honest tech, the guys actually doing the install seemed to have no clue what they were doing and had a bad attitude after clearly messing up. Your mileage may vary, but based on my experience I absolutely cannot recommend using Oasis for your HVAC needs. It's not worth the risk, especially when your family's health and safety depend on the quality of the work being performed and the correct materials being used. read more

Recently our ejector pump burned out which resulted in minor flooding that was fortunately contained within our pump room. We've lived in our condo for approximately 10 years and were not well versed with ejector pump maintenance, so when it failed we immediately called Oasis Heating & Cooling. We were connected with Chris, who spoke with us over the phone, to help identify the problem and ensure he had the proper parts/equipment/tools upon coming to our home. When Chris arrived and checked out the pump he did an amazing job explaining the work that needed to be completed and why. We are so grateful for Chris and Oasis for working with us and fixing what could have been a much bigger problem. My Water heater turns off intermittently after 1-2 hours, so I had these guys come over to take a look at it. Charged $165 to turn it on (I know how to turn it on) and then tell me he can't diagnosis the issue cause he "wasn't there when it turned off" and said it could be 1 of 3 issues but it's best bet is to replace it completely for min $4k. Couldn't figure out what the issue so "buy a new one instead" mentality. Salesmen not repairmen Called a plumber. He actually ran diagnostics and turns out it was an overdraft issue. Previously I have used Oasis Heating & Cooling and had a great experience. Recently, my lift sewage pump stopped working, and I checked Oasis' website and found that the company had now added a plumbing service. I left my contact info and Chris (who manages and performs plumbing services) quickly called me back. He really took the time to analyze my situation and stopped by the next morning to give me an evaluation and cost quote. He thoroughly explained to me exactly what was wrong and discussed all my options; I was very impressed with how much he knew. I decided to have him install a brand new unit as well as fix my faulty old pvc pipes. He arrived on time and worked non-stop to do the installation and pipe rebuild. We've been using Oasis for all of our heating and cooling needs for several years now. They are incredible. This week I needed an old leaky toilet fixed and discovered Oasis also offers plumbing. Chris came here and explained the costs and risks of repairing the old toilet versus getting a new one. Most impressively, he correctly predicted that there might be problems when we removed the old toilet, based on how it was glued to the floor and the age of our home (100+ years). This ultimately turned into a bigger job than anyone anticipated, but Chris came out again (even though he had been sick and I could tell it was a slog just to be here). Despite spending nearly two full days in our house, Chris delivered the project exactly as he had predicted at a very reasonable cost. When I turned on the air conditioner for the first time this season, it was making an awful lot of noise... a kind of rattling sound that certainly shouldn't be the noise you hear from your central air. I also really need the AC to be working properly, because even though I usually just deal with the heat or turn on a fan in the summer it gets VERY hot up on the third floor of my townhome (where the bedrooms are), and to ensure safety for my soon-to-be July infant that won't be able to regulate their temperature. I called Oasis (and apparently we've called them in the past) and they came out within a couple of days. We learned that the AC unit was from 1997--the year this place was built! So it was in desperate need of replacement. To get it taken care of in one fell swoop, we chose to replace the AC unit (including condenser), furnace, and humidifier. This particular unit is for the third and fourth floors, so you know where I'm going--it's a rooftop unit. Had they needed to use a crane it would have cost another several hundred dollars easily, but thankfully since there's an egress stairway from the roof deck they were able to bring everything up that way and we didn't incur the additional cost. The guys were efficient and competent. They got here a bit after 7 am and were finished by 1 or 1:30 in the afternoon. They made sure that we understood how everything works, and they also corrected some weird pipework that was installed before we moved in that blocked the furnace filter area. The work was quieter than I expected it to be, which was a bonus since I was working from home that day. We had a quote before the guys left from the diagnosing-the-issue appointment. Although it was expensive, all the work was necessary and I have confidence it was very well done. They charge a $165 fee to diagnose your issue, but if you chooses to continue the work with them they will apply that to the cost of your work. I need to have some duct cleaning work completed and I'll be checking to see if they do that as well. I was very pleased with the work and the professionalism of the guys who completed it, so unless things go sideways or we move out of their service area, I plan to use Oasis for heating and furnace issues moving forward. read more

I hired this company to do a full furnace/AC replacement. In the quoting process, three things stood out to me: the friendliness of the employees, the competitiveness of the pricing, and the fact that they were the only company that properly sized the replacement unit (we were moving from an ancient unit to a high-efficiency unit, and other companies quoted me for a new furnace with equivalent BTUs, and none of them did manual J calcs to back that up). That final point was most important to me - even if Oasis had worse pricing, I wanted the job done right. The installation had a couple minor errors, but they did not drag their feet about coming back to make everything right. To me, that displayed a high degree of professionalism and commitment to customer service. The installation seemed to go smoothly, and everyone was friendly throughout. They will be my choice for all future HVAC maintenance/needs. read more
