Victor was a complete jerk. Tried to explain some of the things I attempted and he wouldn't listen and said I was moving too fast for him. He's the so called expert that went to school and training for plumbing and there is no leak in my pipe, rather the water is coming from the shower floor and poor caulking. Victor wanted to charge me $125 for the inspection but that was never mentioned beforehand. He only talked about a free inspection and he never opened up any walls, barely looked around. After I questioned him about the $125, he became all offended and went on a tirade about how his expertise isn't free, and to never call him back. Glad I didn't pay him because Victor was wrong. The leak was coming from the sleeve of my vent pipe. Imagine that? Intermittent leakage behavior due to condensation - and the genius Victor couldn't figure that out. I used to troubleshoot automation machines for a living so I've learned a thing or two. I was even able to confirm the leak by myself with my thermal imager, which I'm sure Victor doesn't have. My advice is to stay far away from Rescue Plumbing because they're a bunch of amateurs. Victor also said that if my leak was coming from somewhere else, that I would not like his number which would be thousands. Turns out he was completely off and the fix took about an hour with a $5 coupling. No thanks to Rescue Plumbing. Go somewhere else to find a real expert plumber! read more

My tenant's gas fireplace had a leak, so I set up an appointment with Rescue Plumbing, scheduled to arrive between 10AM-noon. Adam (the plumber Pete's helper) texted me at 11 AM asking for more information. I texted and called them asking if they were still planning on keeping the appointment, where they could presumably do an on-site estimate as agreed, and Pete was rude and hostile and said they had already moved on to another job but they would circle back to me in 2 hours. I told them that was okay and gave them my tenant's number to follow up with her. She told me they called her and asked several questions and said they would come by later that day. Unfortunately, they never followed up with her or me after that. I called a different plumber and he fixed the fireplace for a low flat rate (he provided estimate over the phone) that evening. Judging by the other reviews about this company that mentioned predatory pricing, I feel like I might have dodged a bullet. read more

I feel extremely fortunate for the expertise, good nature and perseverance of Javiar and Jimmy during my plumbing odessey; originally just wanted to replace my kitchen sink faucet and bathroom faucet, there were numerous setbacks that required more work and time; pipes had disintegrated, inner washers were eroded, even a key missing part that Javier was able to find a clutch replacement for on short notice. Despite what could have been massive up charges, they only added the costs of the extra parts needed and the additional services I requested (replacing the connector valves for the dishwasher because they likely were going to need replacement in the near future as well) read more

I had a variety of plumbing services completed today, including main sewer line rodding, camera inspection, rodding of 2 bathroom sinks, a kitchen faucet install, and a toilet reset. The quality of the work was excellent -- the team was professional, efficient, and courteous throughout the visit. And they cleaned up after each project. That said, I was surprised by the pricing. For example, the charge for rodding the main sewer line was $725 and camera inspection was $325. Additionally, I was quoted $495 for basic flush of a water heater - quite steep for a relatively straightforward maintenance task for a 50 gallon tank. When I expressed concern about pricing some reductions were made - for example, the kitchen sink install was reduced to $150, which is more in line with standard pricing. The price for rodding two bathroom sinks was reduced to $550 (still on the high side), and the price for a toilet reset was reduced to $325 (still on the high side, even with wax ring and bolt replacement). While I appreciate the price reductions I still ended up paying a whole lot more than standard market rates. I appreciate the thoroughness and professionalism of the service, and would recommend this company on those grounds. However, for those working within a budget it may be worth confirming pricing in advance. Even though the pricing was so high I had the work done today because I didn't want to wait. If I had more time I would have just taken a no cost quote, which the plumbers were happy to provide, and looked around. In short: Glad to have good work done. Bummed to have spent more $ than I would have had I looked around. read more

Reny and Xavier quite literally to the rescue! I called for an issue with my sink that I couldn't fix myself and had reached out to a few places. Compared to the other companies, I was impressed with Rescue Plumbing's quick response time and general promptness. I had reached out Sunday evening and by Monday afternoon, Reny and Xavier were here to help. They called when they were about 15 minutes out and arrived right on time. Even right at the beginning of the window I had scheduled. They were so responsive, communicative, and friendly. They quickly assessed the situation and the problem was quickly resolved. I even learned a few things about what the previous owner did to my condo that they should not have done and how to do things differently. I wish I could give these guys a minus 10, or better yet, get their license revoked. They told me that my bathroom plumbing repair would take five hours and they would have to rip up the ceiling of the first floor bathroom, rip up the floor of the 2nd floor bathroom, and remove the 2nd floor bathroom sink and vanity. All for the low price of $3,600. I just had legit plumbers do the job. The only work that needed to be done was in the 1st floor bathroom ceiling. No 2nd floor work was necessary at all. He figured out it was an overflow valve issue and fixed it fast, no walls opened, no mess, just super efficient work. He was friendly, communicative, and clearly knew what he was doing. I called Rescue Plumbing Tuesday afternoon, and they were able to come this morning. Endless leak in my bathroom faucet, which I delayed handling for months. (Finally realized the cost of delay when I got my last water bill!!!) They quoted me $500 for replacing a cut-off valve and popping in new faucet cartridges, etc. Unfortunately I had to run out and buy a complete new faucet unit, pipes, and have them install it as well. Pipes were black with corrosion and rust. That cost me an additional $300 in labor. Fortunately they gave me the estimate ahead, so I wasn't too surprised. Rigo and Gustavo did a professional and careful job. Cleaned up afterwards, and best of all, tested to make sure there were no leaks. Very clean work. read more

I made an appointment for a shower issue. The gentleman called on the day of the appointment and had me describe the issue with some pictures. Diagnosed the problem over the phone and give me a quote $800-$1000 grohe shower. Went to the local plumbing supply store. They said you have just need to replace the cartridge , called another Plumber and $250 later the issue was resolved. read more

Rescue came to look at my issues but none were resolved. The price they quoted for fixing or replacing my toilet was much more expensive than anyone else I talked to. They looked at my second issue which was low pressure on my kitchen faucet hot water. They switched the lines to where the hot pressure was normal and the cold was slow and then charged me $275. I ended up finding another plumber through Yelp and they resolved both problems. In fact, they didn't charge me for the kitchen faucet issue because it was simple. It just took a moment of troubleshooting and they resolved it free of charge. As an everyday consumer, Rescue Plumbing felt like a place where you always want to get a second opinion. read more

I think it was expensive for the project ($850 for shower cartridge replacement) but the work was completed in about three hours from when I first placed the call (during regular business hours). After getting quoted over $3,000 for a garbage disposal replacement from another plumbing service, Bob delivered an installation in under two hours and charged only 25% of the outrageous price from the other guys (including providing the disposal). I received a very fast response from the company and they sent someone out right away which I appreciated. The plumber was quick to diagnose the problem and seemed knowledgeable. However the price quote he gave us of $575 just to replace a wax ring on a toilet - which might take 30-60 minutes - was too expensive and he said it could be even more money once he started. My partner and I told him that was way too much money. He then got angry and said that I could just get someone else and that is what it costs to run a company with the cost of supplies and to pay people, and that the cost has nothing to do with the amount of time it takes. He stormed out of the house. I have since talked to other plumbers and they said that the price he quoted was outrageous. I don't normally give bad reviews but his demeanor and overly defensive reaction was upsetting to me. Maybe he was just having a bad day and is an unhappy person. He made me feel bad. I live in a condo building, and a leak was traced back to my unit. Rescue Plumbing not only quickly responded, they were extremely easy to schedule with and on time. They were extremely courteous when inspecting my condo. They identified the issue as an appliance repair almost immediately; unlike other plumbing companies, they did not charge me for the two-minute consultation and assured me that any future issues would be responded to as quickly as this was. I called Rescue Plumbing to get a "second opinion" after a visit by my regular plumber who I had been using for several years. It's a really good thing I did, because Javier correctly diagnosed the problem (a clog and cracked vent pipe). If I had gone with the first plumber, the problem would not have been repaired and I would have ended up in a much worse situation. Rescue Plumbing was definitely pricier, but I'll keep going to them because I trust the work. Javier was very helpful in thinking through a creative custom solution that made the most sense for my home at the time.
