They answered all of my burning questions about HVAC ducts. Booking duct cleaning service over the phone got me a very accurate quote. Chad does the heavy lifting in this pop & son duo, so the job took about 6 hours to complete, with 14 vents. That said, they were thorough and the price was fair (around $700). They were even kind enough to replace my dryer vent duct tubing because it was in such a sorry state from the previous owner, and this would prevent further stress on the dryer. Recommended by a few folks along with the incredible reviews on Yelp, they were our first and only call. I called Duct Masters late in the afternoon on Friday and had the luxury of speaking to the owner, Roger who is an absolute gem. Since moving into a new house and undergoing endless renovations we had to hold off on cleaning the ducts and now that our son is coming any moment now we had to get the ducts cleaned before we can bring him home. I had never called for such a service before, and had no idea what to expect but after calling and hearing about how passionate he was about his business, and how him and his son tackle all their jobs together it's more of an honor for us to hire them. Today we had Jeremiah and Dylan (another father son duo that has been working for Roger & Chad for the past few years). They came in and walked space and got right to work. They were so mindful and clean about everything they did. They tackled each room and were in and out without a trace. We were able to pay with a card at the end, they also accept checks! We had a horrible experience with your company. Two men came to our home, tried to tell my husband who was handling the cleaning of our dryer vent only, that they were there to do all the ducts for 200.00. I was quoted 69.00 from Paulette through a text (see below screen shot). They told my husband 80.00, he wrote a check to them for 80.00. My husband had them fill in the payee information which is (see below copy of the check). We were not happy with our experience at all. I put a stop payment on the check, as this seemed like a scam as they didn't do anywhere near a complete job of cleaning only the dryer vent. When I read the reviews and the company profile, I thought it was a great, respectful, mom and pop company that would do a wonderful job and so we gave Duct Masters a try. They did not do as Paulette indicated that they would do, an inspection of the scope of work and then we could decide at no cost if we wanted them to continue to do the work. They were rude, not prepared and did not clean the dryer vent as it should've been done, only about 15% was cleaned. They also did not clean up after themselves before they left. read more

As a first time homeowner, getting your air ducts cleaned is something I previously did not have any knowledge or experience with. I always get several quotes before I select a contractor. From the first phone conversation with Roger to get a quote, it was clear that they were experts in their field. He was really helpful on the call--explaining the equipment used and their process thoroughly so I understood what to expect. The house has two furnaces and a LOT of vents (over 40) and Roger had estimated the project around 6 hours. Roger also gave me a brief history of his company and it was clear they are truly a family-owned and run business that is passionate and cares about the work they do. He wasn't trying to "sell" me anything and the conversation was not transactional in any way. And to boot, Duct Masters was competitively priced so I felt really good about selecting them do do the job. On the day of the service, Jeremiah and Dylan (the other father and son duo) showed up on time. After showing them where the furnaces were they promptly started the prep work. I want to specifically call this out because they care and time they put in doing prep work is important as it was about doing a job WELL and CORRECTLY not just as fast as possible. I shadowed them throughout the day because I wanted to learn as much as I could and they were patient and great in explaining everything to me. They were very professional and were great about taking their shoes off without even being asked. I learned that the home never had their ducts cleaned previously as there were no service points in the furnaces so this was definitely overdue! The amount of stuff cleaned out was remarkable. Jeremiah even took a video (which I've included) and let me just say, WOW. I've also included a photo of "The General" at work so you can get an idea of the equipment. The whole process including cleanup took right around 6 hours as estimated. I am so happy we went with Duct Masters and I would highly recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Disappointing experience. I scheduled with Duct Masters because of the high rating. When I called, the receptionist was very pleasant, and it was easy to schedule an appointment. However, 30 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment, I received a call to reschedule because the technician had a traffic issue. I tried to be understanding because things do happen in life. So, I rearranged my schedule to accommodate. Well, 30 minutes before my SECOND appointment, I received a call from the technician stating that he was on the way to service my dryer. I explained that I scheduled to have both my duct and dryer vent cleaned. He insisted that he only service dryers and the I must be confused. (He was very rude towards the end of the call and stated that I needed to call another company.) So, I called the company's main number back and asked for clarification. Again, the receptionist I spoke with was very polite and stated that they in fact clean BOTH air ducts and dryer vents. The receptionist stated that my appointment was for BOTH services. The receptionist stated that he was going to call that technician's manager to see what was going on. (I guess Duct Masters outsource.) Almost, 2 hours later, I never heard back from Duct Masters. I am extremely disappointed at the complete disregard and waste of my time. If Duct Masters is outsourcing, there is a HUGE disconnect - which is making Duct Masters appear to be very disorganized and unprofessional. read more

We recently hired Duct Masters for duct cleaning and sanitizing after learning that our son had major health issues related to environment. (Most likely from his school but we wanted to be extra sure.) I researched and talked to a few "duct cleaning" services but truthfully the only one that stood out was Duct Masters. I spoke with Roger, the owner, and he explained the entire process in detail. They don't just hook up "vacuums" to suck debris out of your vents but rather systematically start from the top down, literally, to enter each vent and use a special long "whip" to loosen debris and then work their way down to the main unit to blow/suck the debris out. They have a giant, gas-powered unit stationed outside of your house to power their equipment so it's more powerful than anything used inside the house that's plugged into an outlet. I've heard stories of companies bringing in "shop-vac" type units and calling it "duct cleaning"! Not Duct Masters! They told me that on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst, my ducts were a 4 so it was reassuring that they weren't too bad. That's my lay person description of their service. I hope it's accurate and helpful. Then we followed up with a non-toxic sanitizer applied into the ducts to kill pathogens. This was especially reassuring because of our sons health condition. We wanted to be sure the air in our home was healthy. After reading some reviews, they were the first call I made. I was expecting to set up a time to get a quote. Instead I learned about their process and what to expect. I was asked about the layout of the ductwork in the house and the location of the furnace. Even asked about the dryer vent. Afterwards I was given a range of the cost. (My house is a very common layout.) Next I did something I rarely do - set up and time and didn't call anyone else. They showed up on time and as I was showing them the layout, they were explaining how and what they would be doing. Absolutely no surprises. While they were cleaning, there was no doubt about the pride they take in their work and the results. After they finished they left everything in order. There are a few things I would like to highlight. - Since my furnace was in a closet I knew they would have to drill a couple holes in the ductwork to connect the vacuum. Wasn't thrilled about it but knew it was necessary. When I checked the patches afterwards they were very well done. - I have seen plenty of before and after pictures of duct cleaning and thought they were bs. Well I took a look at the inside of a few of the ducts afterwards and they looked like the pictures. - I didn't think cleaning the dryer vent would make much of a difference. While he did get a thick mat of lint out and show me, I thought well that's good but still didn't think it would make much of a difference. Well I used the dryer afterwards and it made a huge difference. - It has been a couple of days now and while this opinion is very subjective, the furnace and air flow seem quieter. The removed and cleaned every register and cold air return. They use a large gas powered industrial vacuum system that is set up outside. Highly recommend Duct Masters! Our house was built in 1978 and when Roger and Chad came to clean our ducts they told us they had NEVER been cleaned before in the lifetime of our house. Yikes! Clearly, we needed this project done. Roger and Chad were very thorough, friendly, kind, and responsive. They talked me through air flow throughout our house and what they were going to be doing to clean the ducts. They re-worked the laundry dryer vent because it was initially installed in an inefficient way (something they didn't have to do, but I appreciated).
