We hired Mr. Duct to clean our air ducts and conduct a furnace tune-up in the same visit. To say we were thrilled with our service is putting it mildly. Arlin, our customer service rep, answered all our questions and booked our appointment quickly. He used their Yelp coupon and in-house discounts to give us a great price, too. Juan, our technician, was amazing! He is so knowledgeable and very respectful. We live in a 1927 bungalow and heat from our furnace never reaches the second floor, despite having a vent up there. Reps from three different HVAC companies told us that we needed a mini-split ductless system to solve the problem. Upon arrival, Juan quickly figured out our ductwork and suggested that we close key vents to help the heat reach the top floor. He was right! After he was done, heat was flowing upstairs like no tomorrow. We don't need an expensive mini-split ductless system after all. I don't have the before and after pictures yet, but Juan cleaned out so much debris, even rocks. He even found one of our gold chains that was lost a couple of years ago. Our furnace is no longer short cycling and the air quality seems better. Mr. Duct is now our go-to company for ductwork and furnace needs. read more

I needed a dryer vent cleared out as the dryer was taking longer to dry and also kicked up quite a bit of dust in the laundry room. I noticed that in the development that there were others having their ducts cleaned so I went to the duct cleaner that the property manager of the HOA suggested Mr Duct. They were very professional and up front with expectations. Their quite was quite reasonable and I even got a nice discount through use of finding them on yelp (so keep using yelp people! It will save you money!). They came out on time in their window, gave a heads up call that they were gonna arrive. They came in, and cleared out the vent from the outside in. It required a 40ft ladder since the venting was near the roof line. The result was great. Had clothes dry faster now and the laundry room is lint free again. Excellent customer service and very efficiently completed the work. I called the night before close to closing and they were able to fit me in the next day. The tech came early (after calling first) and was so polite and respectful. He removed his shoes without us even asking. He got right to work and explained what he did after he was done. Air duct cleaning was performed as quoted with minimal mess. Dryer vent cleaning was very disappointing. Area left covered in dust & lint. Company claims I should have been informed in advance to expect this; of course I wasn't. I would have taken preventive actions to avoid the mess & extensive cleanup. Original appt was canceled on the day of service by the company. Received email asking why I canceled the newly scheduled appt date, which I had not. Top notch company!! Requested a quote online on a Saturday and received a phone call within 10 min!! Was able to schedule my appointment for only a couple days later! Received a text confirmation the day before appointment, which I loved. The technician was on the way, 10 min prior to our scheduled appointment block. Jose couldn't have been nicer!! Josh & Juan did a thorough job. Cleaned up after themselves inside. They didn't have an issue with moving or working around out furniture. Arrived at the tail end of the 2 hour window but apologized. They were very polite the whole time. I did my homework so I didn't need them to explain every move. I saw pics of the dirtiest ducts & vents before and after. No they don't use a video tube, just the cell camera, but it was enough for me. $340 was a good deal for cleaning all returns and ducts and dryer vent. Vacuumed up anything left behind. Overall, very happy so far! The office was very prompt in returning calls on the weekend too. Will follow up if there are any isues. read more

This is the worst customer experience I have ever had for people working in my house providing a service for me. The tech blamed the office for not telling me to prepare my house for duct cleaning and that I had to move furniture and everything away from the ducts because that is not their job. While this is all going on, I'm on an important conference call that I wound up missing. When l called the office to complain, they told me the technician said he did and would move things after I had already done it. The manager's resolution to this was to have them pack up and go home or finish what they could of the job. WHO DOES THAT???? Pack up and go home?????? That is NOT a way to make your customer happy. That's what you do when you want a crappy review like I'm writing now. If you want a bad customer experience I would recommend Mr. duct. When I moved into my new house I knew that I would have to get carpet cleaning because there were many stains all throughout it. I didn't really have time to look around and orient myself with prices. I picked a company right near my new location that I found on yelp and I couldn't be more satisfied with their service. I got a great price ( I figured that out AFTER the carpet cleaning, got really lucky on that one) and the service was great! I mean, when I came back home I couldn't believe this was the same carpet I had left just a few hours ago. It looked brand new, I kid you not. I used Mr. Duct to clean my vents and HVAC system on January 20, 2011 folling a major renovation. They showed up on time and did an effective job. The two man crew was polite and professional. As promised, they did not "up-sell" me with other services, and did not try to pass off phony solutions. I mention this because I did a fair amount of online research about vent cleaning before selecting this company. At first glance, their fee seems kind of high compared to other "advertised rates" for vent cleaning, but the fee charged remained as represented for the entire job Since the cleaning was complete, the air quality and dust volume in my home have improved noticably. Overall ok job. 2 guys came out to complete the work. They said it was their first day working together. Got everything set up ok outside. They were here about 2 hours. I felt they were rushed. Later I found out that they had to head downtown to a commercial building to work. One guy told me they are lucky to finish up some days before 7pm. Also for $445 there was no video inspection. I never saw what my ducts looked like inside. The invoice they gave me states "video inspection" as part of the service. You hear about duct cleaning companies scamming customers. I didn't feel scammed, but I didn't feel like they took the time to go through things with me. I have my own business for over 50 years (4 generations) and certainly expect my employees to explain and answer any questions to our clients. I think they hire young guys who really want to get in and get out. I thought $445 was quite a bit to pay for 2 hours of work. read more

Great experience with this company. We needed our furnace cleaned in a home we recently moved in to. Scheduling the appointment was extremely easy. The serviceman arrived about 45 minutes into the two hour time window and he couldn't have been more polite and courteous. The cleaning went smoothly, except for him finding a moldy "water panel" in the humidifier area of the furnace. He showed it to me (it was gross) and suggested we replace it, which was an extra $30. The price was exactly what I was quoted ($79 for the cleaning and $30 for the replacement of the humidifier part) and everything went smoothly. The two men who came to service the home did a great job. We were a little disappointed there was no military discount, and that it was very hard to even get a $25 discount after one of the workers had to leave the house for over an hour to replace a broken compressor (making the total appointment 6 hours long).
