I had an uneasy feeling about these guys right out of the gate, even the initial phone call didn't go well. Then I come to find out the technician called the wrong number to verify the appointment. That Sinking Feeling amped up when the technician told me he's been doing this since December. Long story short, the technician kept telling me that this part went bad, and that part went bad,and with each part my estimate was going up $500. After about four hours the estimate was at $1,500 and he still didn't figure out exactly what was wrong with the unit, and now he was calling for reinforcements. That's when I told him he needed to leave, I have a friend who used to work in the field, he came over and had the air conditioner running within 20 minutes, granted, he did have to go and buy a new motor which he installed and one or two other small parts. My part bill was about $250. It's a shame that they send these guys out with little or no experience to try to diagnose a problem, and then the company feels the need to bilk their customers. Never again!

They said they could try to do a repair for about $1.3k but that they couldn't guarantee the repair would be effective because of the condenser. They then tried to sell me on their highest end heat-pump for about $24k, which was too much for our needs, since our furnace was also functional. We ended up choosing a basic AC replacement for around $9k. They were able to install the new unit two days later. However, on the day of the install, they saw some surface level rust on the furnace heat exchanger and tried to get me to replace it for an additional $4k. When I said no, they backed off and recommended a CO alarm (which we already have). It felt like I was being heavily taken advantage of because I was in a dire situation. The installation went fine, but my experience of being pressured and hard sold to during the process made it feel like I was being milked for every penny they could get out of me. Take this as a precaution to check your HVAC AC/furnace/heat pump regularly, and get multiple quotes before deciding on work. If you go with this company, they will seemingly do an effective job, but they will try their best to get as much money out of you as possible.

Overall, the entire process was smooth, professional, and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend HVAC Buddies and would use them again.

We have been using this company for several years for regular maintenance as well as new AC units. We have always been very pleased from speaking with the receptionist to interacting with seasoned and young technicians who complete the jobs. Recently, we called for AC service and Demar, the receptionist was very courteous and thorough in assessing our AC needs and arranging an appointment. On the day of the appointment Eduardo, the technician arrived on time and began work. Upon review he determined that his supervisor needed to review also. He arrived in less than 1/2 hour and confirmed the issue. The job along with annual AC/heating maintenance for 2 units was done in less than 3 hours. It's been 2 weeks since the repair and we've had no issues as a result of Eduardo's diligence and work skills. In addition, I was very pleased to see that AABAL is hiring, training and allowing young people the opportunity to learn and grow in the trade. To see the interaction of Eduardo and his supervisor assessing the issue and Eduardo completing the job showed integrity for good work, forward thinking for the company's future and its employees but most of all concern for customer satisfaction by providing an excellent service. Thank you AABAL! The Jones Family
