I needed a second vehicle, found one I liked, and submitted an application--only to be told I needed a second co-applicant. I have more than enough income to manage two car loans, and my current loan is paid on time and in good standing. When I went to pick it up DriveNow's Financing branch had taken from the impound removed al my personal belongings and sent it to the auction. That seems normal except that I had just made a payment on the 6/14 (I was on auto-pay) and was scheduled for my next bi-weekly pay coming up on 7/5. Never was informed about this movement. They charged me $687 when I could have gotten it out and on paid $250. Then I had to argue with the Auction company to release the car I am still paying on. To top it off I don't have any tags or my personal belongings. So they had planned on keep charging for the car and auction it off as well. Worst experience ever. I talked to the sales person Ruben over the phone, and he said since I knew his friend from work, he would knock off 2 grand. so a new total of 8.5 + taxes (if I paid in cash). I DROVE FROM LA TO PHX (500 miles), with 9.5k cash in my pocket. I text Ruben the day of to ask when I should come by to buy the car. He then calls me back (while I'm in phx) and informs me that the price of 10.5k was already knocked down 2 grand cuz the real sticker price is 12.5 (keep in mind Kelly blue book is only 9.8k). Obviously I'm not going to buy the car for 4K over what we agree upon. But wow, truly amazing to be honest, they made me drive 7 hours through the desert to screw me over once I got here. I financed a vehicle less than a week ago and have had nothing but problems! Day one, car overheated on the freeway. It had a bad radiator cap cheap fix, no big deal. It was also grabbing then releasing every time you brake to stop and something rattles every time you go over a bump or dip in the road. Day 2, flat tire.... Too bald to patch. Day 4 alert keeps flashing and the car keeps dinging and it says to disengage the e-brake which wasn't even on. My husband looked at the front wheel assemblies and said we had about 5% life left on our brake pads. Day 6, car won't shift out of 2nd gear and my husband is stranded on the side of the road! If I can give this place zero stars I would, I got a dodge journey from them May of 2022. They didn't even clean the car or put gas in it before I drove it off the lot which was already red flag number one. Not even one month after getting this car it broke down, i took it to trufix which is there dealer shop, they had my car for three weeks so at this point I was with out a car and still had to pay every two weeks for the Journey, when i got it back it broke down again within a month span, i took this car to trufix 5 times with a one year span, this last time they told me it needed a whole new engine so I paid the deductible and they had my car for 2 months before I got it back. I had my care for a good 3 weeks before it overheated and turned off completely on me on my way home from work last week, If they put a new engine in this car there should be no reason as to why this car is completely broken down right now. RUN FAR AWAY!!!! These people will scam you out of every penny and then every penny every month after that. The bank auto finance is also a piece of sh!t. They don't care about you at all. My check engine light came on as soon as I drove off the lot. They made me sign a waiver saying I couldn't take them to court, I should have ran away then. We didn't even discuss the payment on the car until I had already signed everything but I wasn't thinking straight. I had been sitting there for 5 hours with my 2 toddlers and my newborn. They didn't help me until midnight!! All I had was $2200 to my name and said that out of frustration and all of the sudden the Down payment went up from $2000 to $2200. Bullish!t. My payments ended up being $600 a month for a 2014 !! with MANY ISSUES!!! The second month they called me and said my plates were ready and how would I like to pay. What???!! $180 they said for the plates!!! I said wtf! I can't pay that right now please I'll just pay my car payment and figure out the plates next month. Also leaving the lot i opted to use their gap in insurance which was only supposed to be $65. When I made my second car payment of $600 already trying to figure out how I'm going to afford that every month they call me 2 weeks later saying I'm due for another payment!!! Because their system applied my last payment to my plates and a whopping $121 for the insurance!! Now I'm somehow apparently $1100 behind on my payment?? Make it make sense!!!!!! I'm not paying for it. I was going to do a voluntary repo but now they can catch me when they can. Fck this place and Fck auto finance. read more

Bought a car there 3 days ago. Told that if anything came up during the first 7 days to call them and they'd refer me to their repair facility. Battery light came on yesterday, was difficult to start. Called them, but manager was always "off". My salesperson must be huge now, because he was either out for lunch or breakfast. Took the car to Auto Zone where it was confirmed that I needed a new battery, I'm a single mom and couldn't chance being stranded with a dead battery. My friend covered the cost of the battery. I texted a picture of my battery receipt to the manager and he was less than helpful. He said I should have had them take care of it (and just when was that going to happen?). Told my car payment was gonna be such and such amount with the Warranty included in the loan, which the warranty is another amount every month so you have your car payment then you have your warranty amount and then you have your insurance amount, I have my own insurance though not through these rip off scam artists. People please be aware and do not buy a car from this place. They had my car maybe a week out of the month and a half that I had it. Was looking at a Ford Escape, salesman told me to take on a test drive. I got about a mile and a half away when it broke down, I had to call the dealership 3 times then waited 45 minutes while people yelled at me for blocking the intersection. Once we got back to the lot the salesman acted like nothing happened, then told me I had been approved. I was approved for the same unreliable Escape and wanted over $400/mo, when I said that was too much he got rude and proceeded to tell me what kind of dealership it was. I went to the chandler location and purchased a broken down 2011 jeep grand Cherokee from the salesperson "Summer"! She sold me a piece of crap. I put down $1300 on this vehicle just for it to have so many problems after the 2-week guarantee they will fix whatever goes wrong with the car. Lucky me, soon as the two weeks were up the air conditioner went out. A tail light went out. I went to get in my car to get my kids from school and guess what my car didn't start. There's also more wrong with the vehicle. I paid a technician to look at my vehicle. This man wanted $1400 for the starter which is absolutely ridiculous. But in all honesty, I would have rather paid him to fix the vehicle. Instead, I decided to go with tru fix the place that's supposed to fix these cars for $299. My car has been at this auto body shop for 2.5 weeks with no compensation from auto now financial. They keep calling wanting to know when am I paying the high A$$ note for the vehicle sitting at their autobody shop! I still haven't even received a call saying they diagnosed my car. I call up to this place they don't answer the phone until I have called 50 times. I honestly feel bad for the mechanics because they are so busy with work from drive-now vehicles. They are overcharging for vehicles that don't work! Poor mechanics have to pick up their slack. I'm sure they are frustrated with this scam of a business. I don't care what position you are in, do not purchase a vehicle from them it will stop working after 2 weeks. I believe they rig these cars somehow to get them to look like they work! Shame on me. I ignored the negative reviews and was blinded by the fact this dealer had the car I wanted. After being given a down payment amount that the bank wanted to do the deal, that number changed last minute at signing and they told me I need to pay an additional $250. I should have got up and left at that point but i didnt. Shame on me. The salesperson told me that I needed to pay the 250 in two weeks and then my first payment would be due two weeks after that date. 7 days after the sale I receive an email that the 250 was due immediately. I screwed up and didnt verify the dates. The salesman knew he quoted 2weeks but their manager said too bad. In addition they did not come through on parts they said they would replace. I am culpable for the error on dates but I was hoping for a more respectful and professional response from this dealer. I recommend you go someplace else to buy your car.
