Do not step foot in this place. I dealt.with tim. I bought a truck there. Put $5k down. At mile 460 the engine started coming a part. I reached out to tim because of the 15 day 500 Mile warranty. I was on day 7. And tim said it was not his problem. Then he offered for his mechanic/ hotdogs stand/ daycare/ bodyshop guy to look at it. I refused because I was in tucson. The motor quit. This guys are straight forward and they do not beat it around the bush. They product is good to go alongside their prices. I recently bought a Lexus GX 460 from them. The car isn't perfect, but mechanically is great, been driving it already for 2000 miles already and not a single problem, too lit to a Lexus dealership the the car was actually certified by Lexus (mind you,l there was another owner before me that clearly wasn't the cleanest person and had kids. After a few preventive maintenece services I did on it (which anyone should do regardless) the car is in tip top condition. Plus I'm building an overland rig with it so I didn't mind a few scratches to paint compared to what's coming to it! Will definitely buy from them again. If you are looking for a perfect car and don't want to do any maintenece on it for a while then is better to increase your budget and buy a certified car. Buyer Beware If you are thinking about buying a car from 7th Ave Auto Sales, proceed with caution. Our purchase did not go well. Unfortunately, our painful and expensive experience with 7th Avenue Auto Sales forces us to draw one of three conclusions: 1) they are egregiously incompetent, or 2) they are chronically dishonest, or 3) they are both incompetent and dishonest. Here's the Reader's Digest version of what we went through.... The "Check Engine Light" came on within five minutes of leaving the lot with our new car. This seemed odd, as we had confirmed with our salesperson that the car had passed AZ emissions. We negotiated that this potential deal breaker would not cause us to unwind the deal. Eventually, the salesman reluctantly agreed to chip in a lowball $200 towards a $700 catalytic converter. We busied ourselves ordering the part online and finding a mechanic to complete the installation. Then, 26 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE, the salesperson called to express his deepest apologies: apparently they could not get a license plate for the car because it had not, contrary to previous promises, been emissions tested prior to purchase. Things got even more odd when the mechanic who replaced the catalytic converter showed us the "catalytic converter" he removed from the car: it was a hollow metal tube from which all emissions capabilities had been professionally and intentionally removed. If our understanding is correct, 7th Ave Auto Sales could not have legally sold this car to us, as it did not comply with emissions standards. Now, 70 DAYS LATER, after leaving countless messages, we have given up on hearing back from them about the funds they agreed to pay us for installation of the catalytic converter and the emissions test. That's right -- we discovered the issue, diagnosed it with our own scan tool, ordered and paid for the part, found a mechanic to install it and took it to (and paid for) the emissions test. After ignoring dozens of calls and breaking at least a dozen promises, they have simply gone on complete radio silence. Based on several other online comments involving suspicious Check Engine Lights and ensuing radio silence, we are not the first buyers to endure this behavior. Potential buyers need to know that 7th Ave Auto Sales should be approached with extreme caution. Caveat emptor! 8/11/20 Update: The missing check was received. I would just like to give a shout out to Eric and the crew at 7th Ave Auto Sales!! I was very pleased with the purchase of the Mini Cooper we bought there. We found it on Car Fax, went and looked at it and test drove it. Eric had it ready for us when we arrived. I noticed a little wetness around the oil pan and thought it might be leaking. I asked him if I could have my mechanic check it out next week and he assured me I could. We looked at a lot of other cars over the weekend, but none of the salesmen wanted us to take their car to our mechanic. So I called my mechanic Monday morning and he said bring it by. I called 7th Ave Auto, Eric was not there, but I was asked if I had Eric's permission and after confirming that I was told, No problem! I took it to my mechanic. He loved it and said it was in good mechanical condition. So my wife and I went back and bought it outright. Eric was very knowledgeable and handled the paperwork very efficiently. He even drove it to my mechanic for me and picked it up since my babies car seats wouldn't fit safely in a regular cab truck. No surprises at my mechanics review of the truck. I just bought a car from this place and the transmission was making a noise and got louder so I took it to get them to fix it and they didn't even fix it but they put 20 miles on the car and drove it like they stole it now the noise is even louder and the mechanics took or the workers took it to go get food and left there trash in the car and also left the shift stick loose do to them driving the car so hard the variety of cars they have is Awesome but there mechanics they need new ones in my opinion ones that won't trash a car and have respect for others property and actually fix problems not make them worse and then they told me there is nothing wrong with the car when all they did was beat on the car. Took it to anotherplace and they told me what's wrong so now I have to fix a problem out of my own pocket when the dealer can't even figure out what the problem was cuz they didn't even check I'm pretty sure. Recently bought a car from here. First used car dealership I've ever been to where I wasn't able to test drive the car before I bought. "You can take it around the neighborhood that's it" Right off the bat I should've known something was sketchy. The car is a 2011 VW cc. Clean car looks good and runs good. Apparently it has a "sport" clutch in it. When I was signing the papers to buy it, some random person that works there that I never spoke a word to came up to me and said "remember the clutch isn't part of the warranty" " I say that to everyone" after I called him out about being shady about it. So that's supposed to explain the grinding and squeaking it makes. But I never got to witness that until after I bought it because I wasn't allowed to get it out of 2-3 gear. After realizing there was a problem I called them and they said "oh the warranty doesn't cover anything related to the clutch, you could've burnt the clutch out hours after you bought it" I've been driving stick cars for the last 6 years. So I drive down there and they agree to have their "mechanic" look at it. I already had a shop jack it up and look into the inspection plate There's clutch/metal material obviously showing the clutch is bad. So I had my shop give me a quote for a new clutch and flywheel. $1800-$2000 7th ave said they can only give me $300 towards the parts but that's it. The parts alone are $800 @ discounted price from another shop willing to help me out because 7th ave screwed me over. But that doesn't include the $900 in labor. So I recommend not going here to buy a car at ALL. I've always bought through private party so this was My first and worst car buying experience ever. Oh also a month later and they still haven't sent in my registration to the DMV for permanent plates. read more

First background info: I'm 60 and have bought a lot of cars - some new, some used. I knew what to expect when I came here, but I really liked the pictures of the car. First off, the car looked EXACTLY like the pictures - no airbrush - not even on the sun fade (it is a 99, so sun fade is pretty much a 'given' for Phoenix). So when it came time to 'negotiate' I was ready for the inevitable 'war' - but it didn't happen. I offered a price I thought was FAIR (Blue Book), we discussed it for about 15 minutes and they agreed to sell it for that price. So I get the car home and see that it left a nasty oil puddle on my driveway. I call them knowing they were going to say that I bought the car with a limited warranty so it was on me - but they didn't. They said 'bring it in and we'll have our mechanic fix it!' I did, they did, and a day and a half later they called me. No charge, very pleasant, said if there was anything else I should call them. I left their lot stunned - very happy, but stunned. I should probably mention that for a 'small-family run' car lot - they have a HUGE selection of cars. If/when I need another car (in addition, NOT to replace this one) I will look here FIRST. I received a cars.com notice that 7th Ave Auto had just gotten one so I ran over there to check it out. The price was right and Tim was easy to work with. Not sure about the review indicating they wouldn't let him take the car to his mechanic because Tim had no issue with me taking the 4Runner to my mechanic all the way "in Scottsdale".
