My experience with Avondale Toyota and sales manager Ali Altaee was unacceptable. Ali led me to believe I was going to be approved, repeatedly saying he would work with me and that everything looked like it would go through. Based on his assurances, I allowed my credit to be run. Ali then ran my credit through multiple banks, damaging my credit score in the process. Once it became clear that the deal wasn't happening, he completely disappeared. No follow-up. No explanation. No accountability. I was flat-out ghosted. Running someone's credit after giving them false confidence and then cutting off communication is irresponsible and unprofessional. If approval was unlikely, that should have been stated upfront instead of wasting my time and hurting my credit. Ali Altaee should be reprimanded for this behavior. This is not how a sales manager should treat customers, and it reflects poorly on Avondale Toyota as a whole. DO NOT GET ANY WARRANTY ! Total SCAM! I have bought two vehicles at this location. I was super happy with my 2024 TRD and decided to trust their warranty. I purchased all the warranties and just alone the TFS protection cost 2,395 which I was told would protect all my sensors. 2 years after owning my vehicle, it was not starting and I was stranded at a parking lot on a Sunday. My fiancé came to test the battery and it was completely dead. We purchased a new battery and the vehicle started but all the lights were going off. We took it to the dealership and they advised the sensors needed to be reset and that the warranty would not cover because we changed the battery instead of Toyota. They advised if we would have brought the vehicle everything would have been covered including the battery. I expressed how they were closed & it was a Sunday which is why we had to change it and they still proceeded with charging a 190 fee to reset the sensors. I am so disappointed. So far all the warranties have felt like a total SCAM. The sells person will make it seem like you are paying for your peace but that is not the case AT ALL. I even purchased their tire protection and when I had a nail in my tire they said it didn't cover patches. What's the point of paying thousands of dollars for a warranty if at the end they will charge you for simple things ! read more

I leased a brand new Corolla from this dealership in Sept 2021. I subsequently financed it through the same dealership after the 3yr lease termed. 2 months later I refinanced it with a real bank and saved 1.5% interest rates. The sales person was the only reason why I went to Toyota of Avondale. I learned via repeated poor and unacceptable service experiences that this dealership is only good for sales. After receiving a free 2yr or 20,000 miles maintenance package as part of the new lease, it appeared the service department only followed recommended car manual guidance instead of using common sense on the condition of the vehicle. That reveals ignorance. Also, why schedule an oil change for a set time but have to then wait over 2hrs for it to be serviced? That's a waste of my time and shows poor time management on the part of the service department. Yes, I requested emails and phone calls from the service manager and never received contact. This reveals poor customer service. 4yrs after purchasing the lease, now I'm receiving text and phone calls from this dealership regarding "free" $25 gift cards and free oil change coupons...if I head over to their dealership. It's not free it's a promotional advertisement because they never corrected the known issues during the prior years. If it were free..mail me the gift card or oil change coupon but then again I doubt their service manager has corrected poor business behaviors. read more

Since day one no one went over the contract with me, or explained I would need to do the registration myself until a week later. So apparently you guys could have done the registration in California for me, instead you are pointing fingers with an email and putting it on the finance company when they have nothing to do with it. charging $599 for documents when you didn't do anything for me! Arrived 10:30 for an 11am appt on 2/28. At 1:40 pm I enquired about my car as I was given a 1:30 completion. At 1:45 I was told it hasn't even been seen yet. They told me it would be next in line. I bought a 2025 Land Cruiser a few months ago. The dealership was all about bragging how they take care of their customers. Fast forward to now. The vehicle that was supposed to get 23mpg overall actually gets 14-16. The math on this works out that I will pay $14,000 more for gas over 10 years at 15,000 miles per year. The dealership refused to help. They said this performance was within specifications. Their customer focus was shown to be an absolutely sham. They got their money and couldn't care less that the customer got screwed. Avoid these people like the plague. What they say during the sales process is a lie. read more

Avondale Toyota was an excellent experience from top to bottom and I appreciated how their model set you up with a single point of contact from beginning to the end. My sales manager Manuel Mendoza contacted me through email, cell, text and met me at the front to discuss my needs and wants. He explained their business model of selling at MSRP and not including dealer add ons that many others have done during shortages to increase margins. Throughout this process I felt taken care and trusted them way more than any other dealer in Arizona! Avondale Toyota and Manuel were completely transparent on their inventory, promotions, and pricing something that you can get at other places after 2 hours of negotiating if at all. Examples off the top of my head would be Avondale showing me the MSRP that was actually MSRP unlike Right, Camelback, Earnhardt and Berge who stuffed between 3K-15k in add ons to vehicles like the Prius or Corolla and try to force you to buy a vehicle they showed you. There were no high pressure sales tactics or games played here! Not only that Manuel was highly knowledgeable about the cars and took the time to make sure his info was correct. I even got to try the BZ4X XLE BEV suv that really surprised me. They blew me away after a week of terrible visits and messaging with other Toyota dealers. I bought a new BMW X3 here last year. At first I was very impressed with their service and quick response to any problems. They even came to Queen Creek to do some service items for me but that's when we seemed to hit a wall. One of the features I was assured by the sales agent was included was wireless charging but it wasn't working even tho it has the wireless charging feature installed. After numerous phone calls of which were never returned I finally got thru and was told it wasn't connected and couldn't be. Reason being they sold some without it being connected and lowered the price to make up the difference because of Covid. I was never told this and it doesn't appear on any paperwork and Covid was 2021 not 2024. I asked to talk to the sales agent that sold me the car but she doesn't work there anymore. I asked to talk to the GM, Jason, who I dealt with before but he isn't there anymore. I asked who the new GM was and was told he didn't know him or his name. He looked up what was coming into stock, looked over the 4Runner (gave us a more than fair and more than expected trade in value), and the deal was done within a couple hours. When you hear that, you think, "That's nice but I don't expect it." Well......Edwin did everything he said. The vehicle showed up, and he sent her a video of it being delivered right off the truck. He let my wife know it was going through Pre-Delivery Inspection. He sent her pictures during the process and recorded a video of the vehicle when it was ready for delivery. I was fraudulently sold a certified preowned 4runner from the dealership. The vehicle was missing a headlight bulb and had non-working headlights. It was not legal to drive on the public roadways due to this fact. I had to have another Toyota dealership look over the vehicle and they found numerous issues, including a leaking shock and cracked drive belt, proving that they did not complete Toyotas 160 point certification process and pushed the certification documents to sell this vehicle at a premium price. When asked about it, they said since they fixed the some of issues they went above and beyond what anyone would do for me. One that I could come in whenever and another one that I would wait up to 4 hours Also, they were trying to charge me to get it checked. In an industry full of crappy dealerships Avondale Toyota is head and shoulders above most. Their "One Person" model works! ONE person to deal with from start to finish. This person is your initial point of contact discussing and answering your questions, this person is your salesperson setting up appointments and finalizing the agreed upon terms AND this same person handles the financing end. This should be the standard in the industry. Aside from the sales side there's something to be said about their pricing model....NO BULLSHIT JUNK DEALER add-ons. All those things are available to purchase if you'd like them, and like any dealer they're relatively more expensive at the dealership, but maybe you want the convenience. The fact that they don't overload their sale price with all those things is a blessing. Sure, you could negotiate your way out of them but it's time consuming. The mere fact that Avondale Toyota does not do this is something to strongly consider. Seriously, this place made a buy super easy from start to finish. I'm pretty shocked TBH. Terrible. Took vehicle in for service 2 weeks ago from tomorrow. When I went to pick up my vehicle we noticed my center cap missing and another one on crooked. Went in and asked Blake what happened he didn't know said he would replace the two. They had to order them (keep in mind my are not available due to the blacked out emblem and black outer ring, not my problem) I called for a week to see if they were in the receptionist had to tell me they weren't in yet. I went down last Saturday and talked to Scott J because now I am getting mad because of no communication. He goes and checks he brings out center cap that don't match the rims at all. He says he will order new ones. I sent him a picture of what they should be. He can't find them so he was going to order 4 different ones that I told him it would be okay as long as the matched my rims. This Tuesday he texts me stating same problem as the ones he showed me the previous Saturday. He said he was going to call Toyota and get it corrected. Well since then no communication, I sent him a text asking for a follow up. He read the text but nothing. I called today (Friday) to talk to a manager got sent to voice-mail to a DJ I believe (nothing as of yet) At this point I will not refer anyone to them if this is how someone gets treated when they lose your parts. read more

Where to start....I have been buying Toyotas since I was legally allowed to drive. I came here back in February to purchase an electric vehicle for my commute to work. I specifically told the sales guy what I wanted, which was an electric car that will get me to and from Scottsdale from Verrado with a FULL charge. I drove off with a Prius prime and little did I know that vehicle only gets 30 miles a charge. When I brought it back the next day, the sales guy told me he's new and didn't know that the range didn't go that far. In my opinion you shouldn't be selling ANYTHING if you know nothing about the product!!! I ended up speaking with a manager and trading it in for another Toyota. This car has the key fob which it only came with one at the time and the manager said the second one would be in a couple weeks, well here we are in July. Today I brought my BZ4x in for my 5K maintenance and my second key fob to be connected to the vehicle. Well of course when I arrived to pick up my vehicle, my fob was not ordered as it said it was last week in the notes and I had to bring it back AGAIN for that. A phone call would have been nice or even letting me know it wasn't there when I arrived to drop it off. People take days off from work for things like this, so now once again I have to bring my vehicle back and miss days of pay!!! And last but not least, when I got into my vehicle after today's service my entire drivers side windshield was cracked! I spoke with the "glass manager" and he proceeded to tell me that it isn't their fault and there was nothing he could do about it. Asked me if I would like to talk to the glass guy and he can run my INS....? Are you kidding me? I'm absolutely appalled by Toyota Avondale and I will NEVER ever bring my vehicles here for service.
