After several years of popping in to this lot when car shopping , and a number of factors that have led to us thinking good things, I am trying to condense our positive experiences into JUST the ones where we bought a car. You're welcome. There are a lot of moving parts when making a car purchase. Will you deal with pushy salespeople? Will you *really* get a good price? Will the trade in be a hassle? Will the finance department mess you over? All of these are things we dread about car shopping. Which is where Another Time has offered a refreshing difference each time we've been there. As parents, and consumers with plenty of car purchases under our belts (for better or worse), we had worries about our young adult's first independent car purchases. And TWICE now, Another Time has exceeded our expectations. First, a few years ago, with the purchase of an older Camry. A great deal, friendly but NOT pushy sales support, and straightforward pricing with no hidden charges at the contract signing. As for the car itself, we had eyes wide open on what to reasonably expect from a 14 year old used car for $3,000, and so should you. No matter what you buy, from ANYONE, it will need something. So we had no surprises. Second, and most noteworthy was our experience today. Our son was financing a car for the first time on his own. We have been looking all over town in what has proven to be a very difficult car market. We had been on this lot previously and not found anything he liked. Last night the car he has been dreaming of was posted at a very fair price. Knowing how quickly cars move on this lot, we were there today at 8 a.m. Our son checked the Carfax, test drove and decided it was all systems go on the purchase. We then moved on to the trade in, where we negotiated a fair offer given the condition of the car. Everything was moving quickly, next we were headed to finance (this is the part where things often go south). He had taken our advice of being preapproved by a neutral 3rd party bank before shopping at the dealerships. We shared the preapproved rate with Robert in finance, and he started the process of seeing how he could beat it. Here's the thing. When someone both ENJOYS and is GOOD at what they do, it's evident in how hard they work to help, and how genuine they are in the transaction. Robert pulled off what we thought NO ONE could. He dropped that rate, for a young first time car buyer, from 11% to 6.49%! His excitement for my son was genuine and he truly made the transaction as easy as possible with his patience and knowledge. Everything was transparent, there were no hidden surprises. Polar opposite of what we've experienced at the big box dealerships. My son drove home today in an AWESOME Toyota at what seems to be a great deal all the way around. We are confident he won't be upside down in his loan, and will have a car that lasts several years. A HUGE THANK YOU to these top notch folks! read more

I honestly wish I could give this dealership 0 stars. I have had problems with this Jeep practically from the moment I drove it off the lot. The check engine light came on the same day I brought it home, and the vehicle was shaking. I was able to bring it back, and I was told the issue had been fixed. Unfortunately, as soon as my 30-day warranty was up, the check engine light came back on, and from there it was one problem after another. I have spent over $5,000 trying to repair this Jeep, and every time one issue was fixed, another problem seemed to appear. At this point, multiple mechanics have told me the same thing: get rid of this vehicle ASAP. I haven't even owned it for a year, and I've already had to purchase another vehicle because I could no longer rely on this one. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that I purchased this Jeep while I was 8 months pregnant. I specifically told the dealership that I needed a reliable SUV, and they sold me a vehicle that turned out to be anything but reliable. I understand that used vehicles can have issues, but having major problems almost immediately after purchase, continuing to spend thousands of dollars on repairs, and still not having a dependable vehicle is completely unacceptable. I feel like I was sold a lemon, a vehicle that should never have been sold to someone looking for a reliable family SUV. I trusted the dealership to be honest about what I was purchasing, and unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. Absolutely heartbreaking and incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership based on my experience and based on all of these terrible reviews. read more

This place is great because they don't have commission based sales. They have a large selection and are constantly getting "new" used cars in. The buying process was quick and efficient. I recommend them to everyone that is looking to buy a used car. In addition, they offered a pretty extensive warranty at purchase which even includes road side assistance, and the package was very affordable. read more

Went to see a car, said they had it ready for me, turns out it was at a different location and was being looked at by another customer who bought it. Continued to convince me to look at all of their cars. Looked at a different car and they said it was clean title and when I went on the Carfax report THEY provided me and it was restored title. Very untrustworthy dealership. read more

beware please go to another dealership. dishonest, greedy, don't even bother to make an appointment here. the salesperson was dishonest if you never listen to another customer review, you will thank me later. this had nothing to do with credit, and everything to do with greed and dishonesty making the highest sale, getting a bonus, the frightened consumers, our president has already destroyed the cfpb. i gave them a chance to make things right before putting this review because i started with this dealership on monday and they are definitely false advertising a honda accord, priced low to real people in. the goal is to get your information, a so-called pre-approval and then to run your credit for a higher vehicle that you don't want, that you never seen, does not within your budget if they can get away with it. #do not give them any of your information for pre-qualifying, if they say good news, hang up anything that sounds too good to be true is unless you know financing. #they mistook my credit score for my iq level and thought that because i was a woman and needed a car that they would get over on me and if i'm wrong they can call me and make it right and i'll remove my honest review. in arizona, it is illegal for a car dealership to run a "hard" credit check without your written consent, especially for an amount and a vehicle that you did not discuss, have never test drove, plus say you were looking at a car that was $8,000 but they ran your credit and installed a loan putting in your down payment amount as an installment on your credit with a bank for $16,000 double the price of the vehicle you were looking at. the fair credit reporting act (fcra) requires a dealership to have a "permissible purpose," such as a signed credit application, to pull your credit. if they ran your credit for a vehicle you did not agree to, it may be a violation. you can dispute the inquiry with credit bureaus and may have the right to sue for damages. 1.you may select a vehicle within your budget, that would be within your financial budget as far as payment if your financing but their goal is to maximize profit not customer satisfaction while making a profit. 2. they will try and put you in a vehicle that has been unsold the longest. 3. me the car i asked for, their sales rep ran my credit under false pretenses, told me the bank "wouldn't approve it," and then tried to stick me with a $15,000 piece of junk at double the price and a higher payment than i ever agreed to. 4. it's not about the bank--it's about them trying to move overpriced cars nobody wants. this dealership treated me like i didn't matter, ignored what i asked for, and played games to trap me in unnecessary debt. i'm a real customer with real money who was ready to buy, and they blew it. it has zero to do with my credit and everything to do with maximizing profit over customer satisfaction, customer recommendation, they read me wrong. this vehicle wasn't for me, it was really for my child as a congratulations for finishing high school with honors and her first semester of college so that she can get around hence why i chose the car i chose but that didn't matter to them. ***"word of mouth is everything--since this experience, instead of referring the 6 people waiting on my recommendation. their salesman put a $17,000 loan on my credit without my permission on a vehicle i've never seen and would never agree to buy, that's dishonesty, greed and an overzealous sales department, it was too much like right to just sell me the car i want it instead of lying saying i wasn't approved or the bank wouldn't finance it, because they assumed i was desperate or that my credit score reflected my iq i guess they missed the part where i told him i just took the arizona bar exam. i'm already fighting identity theft on my credit. the economy is in great right now so if you find a person that has a good job and means to make a monthly payment and has a down payment why not assist them instead of trying to maximize profit and move a car that's very expensive to repair has a bad reputation, and just isn't for me i didn't call their dealership asking their salesman to pick a car for me that was convenient for them i asked them to help me out in a situation and i even picked a random vehicle to pretend like i wanted it that was cheaper and they still found a lie to say no and put me in a more expensive one with a payment that no bank would approve almost the amount of my mortgage so that shows their dishonesty and i don't know if this is okay with the sales department or the owner of this company because he may be a very good salesman for them but in life you should treat everyone the way you want to be treated. read more

I happened to see an ad online for Another Time and called to see what was available. I ended up speaking with Kevin who was the nicest, kindest man who actually listened to me and my car needs. He went above and beyond to make sure I got just the right car for me and at a price that was amazing!!!! I will never shop for a car from anywhere else EVER!!! I now have my DREAM CAR!!!!! And a new bunch of kind friends!! read more

A couple years ago, went to this place in large part due to my dislike of full on dealerships. Found a car that I liked and at a decent price via the Blue Book. While inspecting that vehicle I was looking for glaring problems that would be costly after buying it as no one wants to get stuck with a "lemon." What I didn't notice was that this car was a base model while it had been advertised as the model with all the upgrades. So this place had falsely listed it with the details of the model with more value, but with it being the bade model was overpriced. A couple days later when I went back to point this out to them, the manager I spoke to was not very sympathetic and said they just copy and past when making the ads implying they make no effort to verify the accuracy. He offered to do a brake job for me to compensate for this misleading business practice, but I have a friend who does the work for me, so this was of no use to me. So if this is not enough to ward you off from this place, just understand they may falsely misrepresent what's for sale and verify every single detail that is of importance to you, not just the big stuff. read more

I'll keep in short and sweet... purchased high mileage car... Car lasts 18 months after numerous repairs... Blah!!

This car dealership was very kind. However , I bought a car that immediately had problems. I brought it back in and they said the noise was normal. 1 month later my car broke down and I have to pay 1800 to get it fixed . It is exactly what I told them. Please be careful when buying a car from this dealership. Really careful. They won't back you. read more

Another Time Used Cars is amazing! From the staff to the cars. Prices are always fair. Saw a car online, spoke to Marco (who is AWESOME!) went in and test drove it. 10 minutes later I was driving home in my new car! Marco is always smiling and very willing to help. He made this experience a great one. Go check them out. You won't be disappointed! I absolutely love my new car. Thanks Marco! read more

Holy cow, where do I begin! When I first called, John answered and I told him exactly what I wanted, within my price range. Didn't try to upsell or get me into something I didn't want just to make a buck. The truck he picked was PERFECT. Then it gets better... Robert was the nicest and most direct finance manager I have ever worked with in my life, not kidding. He got the financing done in 5 minutes over the phone, got approved with an awesome APR and terms that any big dealership couldn't even come close to! And to top it off: he personally came in the truck to pick me up for the test drive and finalize everything. The drive time took longer than signing the paperwork. I will buy from Another Time for my next used truck or car, hands down. My family and friends will be customers too. You guys are the best and I couldn't be happier with my F-150 read more

So, this place was surprising. For a buy here/pay here model they do a good job! My employee had purchased a new car so was looking to sell her old car. This place gave her a fair price and Robert was easy to chat with. I would encourage anyone who need to buy or sell a car to try this place. They were kind and offered water to us once we got there. Lots of cars on this lot if you're looking for inexpensive cars with high mileage. read more

I went here last saturday in search of a car i saw online, it ended up just leaving the lot before i got here, but i saw a cute silver car that caught my eye, I met kevin who was a no pressure, honest salesman, knew all about the car and showed me the great features, i actually took it on two test drives, one around the neighborhood and another on the freeway. I was very impressed by how clean and nice the car was, i was worried about the price and was tempted to buy it but i went to another place for a test drive, their car was the same price but no where near as nice of a car. As soon as i left there i figured loosing the car from another time wasnt worth the risk of shopping around, i called kevin and got the paper work started asap. I'm soo happy with my new wheels and im happy with my experience here, if u need a car go see kevin! read more

Very negative experience for me. I have bad credit after losing my job. Engine blew in my car and really needing transportation found another time 2. They told me I was approved. Wasted my whole day getting Paperwork to them, shopping for insurance and waiting. Late in afternoon they started ignoring me and 3 hours later I knew I was not approved. Very rude to do that to customers read more

First and foremost John was nice and not pushy or anything just let us look at anything and everything. He was there to answer questions and just to talk about whatever. Nice guy and very helpful. Then came time to finance the car. Dave was great, again very helpful and new his stuff. He was very friendly and talked like if we were old friends. Very nice to my son and made him happy. Hard to do with an 18 year old. And every car we seen on this lot was clean and looked new. Well yes we got the Nissan z350 what 18 would not be happy with that. This place is great from the owner to the guy that cleans the cars to Dave the finance guy lol even met then house keepers and she was nice. I was really impressed. Thanks guys u made my kids day. read more

Bought a car here for our son. The experience was easy and we got a really great fair price. The car is great. It is in really good shape on the inside and the outside. My son is thrilled and so were we because they treated us fair and kind. The process didn't take long at all. read more

Its a shame that this place has a less than perfect score, as my experience with John himself was nothing short of perfect. I went in with my sights set on a car they had advertised online. He was kind enough to drive me around the block (I'm still learning to drive manual cars). He was very friendly the whole time. According to online sources, I paid a fair price (which I thought was fair before checking those sites). Since I couldn't drive two cars home, he was nice enough to drive the car across the street to a bigger parking lot for me because I was going to call a tow truck to tow it home. I would most definitely recommend this dealership, and would like to come to John's defense about other customers implying he is unprofessional, rude & a liar. If I know anyone looking for a car, I will absolutely send them his way. read more

Saw a sweet deal online that I couldnt pass up. This particular truck (newer model Toyota Tundra Crewmax) couldnt be found anywhere at this price in California. I decided to fly to Arizona because it was worth it and I knew it would sell fast. I met with the Finance Mgr Robert, very cool guy, friendly likeable and good sense of humor. I couldnt believe we were done in like 30 min. Normally takes me 4 or 5 hours at these big dealerships but here, Robert had the paperwork already packaged and all I needed to do was sign them. Very happy with the service, even happier with my new truck :) Enjoyed driving it on the 5 hour drive back to Cali.... Thank you Robert! Wishing you all the success. read more

I did not buy a car from John, but came very close. I am an out-of-state buyer and John worked very well with my car inspector I hired through Yelp. This inspector was my eyes and ears. Eventually, it simply came down to me determining I wanted a lower-miles version of that same car. I am still searching and I have no doubt John will sell this car soon. His service and attention to detail was very good. Would consider them again, if he had something I was interested in. read more

Thank you Marco for being helpful fast and friendly!! Excellent service and an overall great experience!

John and Kevin were both so cool. They hooked me up with the sweetest 2010 Prius for an unbelievably fair price (and trust me I know fair, because I looked around a LOT). I had my mechanic look at it and it came out like champ. I never thought I'd be recommending a used car business, but that's exactly what I'm doing. Definitely two thumbs up!! Thanks guys! read more

I bought a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Premium with 98k miles from them in the spring, car was priced at like $14k or something. The whole thing came out to $18k. A week into having the car, the battery died. Autozone said the brackets were too tight, squeezing the battery and making it pop and leak fluid- thankfully not onto anything. A month into having the car, the check engine light came on and pulled a p0420 code. I took it to several mechanics; it needs a complete catalytic converter replacement. The cost for that is $4k. About three months into having the car, it needed CV axle replacement. $500. And now, after taking it in again, the gasket is leaking oil onto the catalytic converter. $800. The lower control arms need to be replaced. $1.1k. The drive belt needs to be replaced. $200. The radio screen broke. $1.5k just for a new radio, haven't fixed it. In addition to all of this, the car desperately needed a coolant flush, brake fluid flush, cabin air filter, engine air filter, and who knows what else is going to pop up. Also- they sold me a "complete coverage warranty" that has only covered the radio screen so far- but only some of it, not the whole thing. I called them about the dead battery a week after buying it, no reimbursement, no help, nothing. I called them with questions about the warranty. No help. This was my first time buying a car from a dealership and not from someone I know, and I was completely taken advantage of and sold a car that has ruined me financially. I don't have any parental or familial guidance to help me with things like that. In total, I will have to put over $8k into this car to get it into decent shape so it'll last me long enough to pay this piece of junk off. The prices of the fixes aren't the moral of the story, so don't comment and tell me I'm getting ripped off. The moral of the story is that they sold me a POS and smiled as I drove away. And now they're going to call my a liar, say I'm trying to make them look bad, that the car was PERFECT when it left the lot. Watch the unprofessional that ensues, and ask if that's who you want to spend thousands of dollars with. read more

Another Time Used Cars - My dream! - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Another 6 weeks have gone by without any title, registration or a signed resolution. Another Time Used Cars has continued to go beyond his legal rights and makes calls direct to me, to my attorney, send men to my house pounding on my front door, and sent threatening text messages. He just can't get it that when you have had to turn to attorneys for help, you have to work through them. For those that think this man is wonderful, I just want you to know that my reviews are not rants, but true statements. Glad you found a vehicle you are happy with - that is all I wanted - a reasonable van to haul some furniture back and forth...but I wanted it to be a safe vehicle and know the true history of it. read more

Buyer Beware! They must have decent sales people, but we got was not professional and transparent enough to continue. They have ok cars, but we could not get the numbers we wanted the way we wanted upfront....kind of a duck and dive, 60% is good enough approach, so they might take the same approach with the cars. There are enough good used car shops with excellent and professional staff. Careful with the pricing approach. The FTC and AZ TC may need to look into this. read more

Let me start with the fact my husband and I both have only purchased from a dealership once each, this was well over 12 years ago. Most no longer recognize the value of cash (the old saying cash is king just doesn't exist any longer). We called on the ad seen on CL, spoke to the owner (didn't realize that at the time). He gave us a cash price over the phone which was the listed price out the door. We drove 45 min and test drove the car. It's an 8 yo car and we don't expect it to be perfect, just as if we purchased from a private party. The sales guy that initially met with us was great and friendly. Wasn't pushy or trying to sell us "extras". I told him we had called earlier and the price that was agreed. He verified, we gave them the cash and out the door they got us in about 20 minutes (we were in a hurry). It's been about a month now and the car is still doing great. I would highly recommend them and if they get another vehicle we are interested in, I'd absolutely purchase from them again. Thank you again! read more

They sold me a car for which I paid cash($6000.00) . The check engine light came on within 50 miles of driving the next day. I went it back and they took it away to fix it. They brought it back after about an hour and the light was off. BUT it came right back after driving it a few miles so they just reset it. Very dishonest people. My problems were never addresses because I paid cash for it. It couldn't pass emissions and they sold it to me anyway. Don't buy a car from these people. read more

Response to Comment by John S. I do not know John S. (based on name in response or their picture) who responded to the original review that I posted nearly 3 years ago, since they were not at the dealership when we went in for a second vehicle purchase. John S. has neither actual nor FACTUAL understanding of what happened at that time. Additionally, since John S. says "That salesman has been let go", how can they say that our experience "was a bit different then there description of the event"? - FYI - (THAN THEIR description, not "then there") Oh that's right! They can't give any statement of truth SINCE THEY WERE NOT THERE. The apology is appreciated but please don't try to cover up the truth behind the actual event with an apology that is insincere, inaccurate and based on an employee that you yourself say "has been let go", which really discredits your attempt at a rebuttal. That said, I will restate, the first experience was great! The second & last, was just that... the last experience we will be having there. I wish all the success to any mom and pop business that garners my business, money and respect. Those three things have been lost on this dealership and sadly they are lost on anyone who speaks of a matter to which they were not part of 3 years after the fact. ------------------------------- The previous customer service was what brought us back to buy another vehicle from this dealership. SADLY, due to our most recent experience, customer service is why we will NEVER go to nor recommend it to others. We calmly made an offer on a vehicle and were yelled at as if we had crashed their vehicle during the test drive. When we asked the salesman to give us a counter offer below the asking price he refused. When we explained that it wasn't worth arguing over, the salesman (or owner we believe) yelled at us as we walked out the door. The vehicle was actually worth the price and we would have been more than willing to pay it if we were not treated like criminals. Previous Experience = 5 Stars Recent Experience = AWFUL!!!!! read more

I just purchased a 2012 Honda Odyssey from this dealership. Thought it was an amazing deal, but it was too good to be true. Yet they will not work with us to remedy the situation. They offer a 15 day 500 mile powertrain warranty which only covers catastrophic engine failure. It's a joke.Beware of this dealership. A couple years ago, went to this place and was impressed with how low pressure it was. They had a car that I was interested in after finding it on the internet and it was easy to get a test drive. The price was where the blue book showed it should be, so I purchased it. After getting home with it and reading the owners manual I realized it didn't have any of the upgrades they had listed, which was just about all available for that year. When I went back to tell them about this, the manager offered to do some auto repair work for me for free, but I do my own work, so that was of no value to me. He said they just copy and paste from past cars and don't double check to make sure it's accurate. So if they say it's got all the upgrades, make a checklist. Not too bad other than the misrepresentation they weren't too concerned about when confronted. read more
